Roberto Luongo doesnt know how hell be received by Canucks fans when he takes the ice in Vancouver for the first time since being traded to Florida in March. Solomon Hill Pelicans Jersey . Regardless of the reception, the Panthers goaltender is looking forward to facing his former team in a familiar surrounding tonight. You can listen to the game live on TSN Radio 1040 Vancouver with coverage starting at 5pm pt. The 35-year-old Luongo won 284 of the 512 regular-season and playoff games he played for Vancouver from 2006 until he was dealt to Florida on March 4. He helped the Canucks win six division titles, claim the Presidents Trophy twice and reach the Stanley Cup finals in 2011. Though Luongo made 29 saves during a 4-3 home shootout loss to Vancouver on March 16, hes naturally wondered what it would be like to face the Canucks at Rogers Arena. Its crossed my mind once or twice, said Luongo, whose last start at Vancouver came Jan. 29. Im not quite sure what type of reception Im going to get, but Ill definitely enjoy the game, thats for sure. Lous and boos, they all sound the same. Though Luongos 388 regular-season wins are 12th on the NHLs all-time list, some Vancouver fans could be inclined to offer a negative response considering he went 32-31 in the postseason for the Canucks. He posted a 3.69 goals-against average while losing his final six playoff starts and was peppered during an 8-1 loss to Boston in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals. Despite a drawn-out process that eventually led to his departure from Vancouver, Luongo harbors no hard feelings toward the Canucks organization, their players or fans. Ive moved on, Luongo said. I enjoyed my time here. I was disappointed I wasnt able to bring a Cup here. Though Luongo has enjoyed visiting with former teammates and friends this week, hell take a business-like approach in his return to the net after a head-on collision with Alex Ovechkin forced him to sit out the third period of Sundays 4-3 loss at Washington. Luongo, who allowed one goal on 64 shots in the previous two games before yielding three against the Capitals, leads a Florida team thats just outside of playoff position in the Eastern Conference. Its good to be back, Luongo said. Im trying to be in the moment. Were doing pretty well, were in the mix for a playoff spot. Thats exciting. Thats what my focus is on to be honest. That helps a little bit, having faced the guys already once, so have a good game and give my team a chance to win. The Panthers (17-11-9) snapped an 11-game winless stretch (0-5-1 with five ties) at Vancouver with a 3-2 shootout victory Nov. 19, 2013. Current Canuck Shawn Matthias, who was part of the Luongo deal, scored the tying goal for Florida. Luongo will try to stymie the Canucks (23-12-3), who are in the midst of a 5-1-1 stretch and looking for a third straight victory after Tuesdays 3-2 win over the New York Islanders. With goals leader Radim Vrbata out due to illness, Linden Vey snapped a 12-game goal drought and Nick Bonino scored his first in eight contests. I think every team thats good in this league and wins has some secondary scoring, said defenseman Ryan Stanton, who added his second career goal. Its uncertain if Vrbata, who has a goal in three straight games and 16 on the season, will be available for this matchup. After watching backup Eddie Lack make 21 saves against the Islanders, Ryan Miller could return to the Canucks net. Miller has a 1.66 GAA during a 4-1-1 run, but has posted a 3.63 GAA during a 1-2-1 stretch against the Panthers. Floridas Nick Bjugstad has recorded three of his team-leading 15 goals in the last four games and five points in the last five contests. The Detroit Red Wings will be having discussions with Mike Babcock very soon about the possibility of re-signing the Stanley Cup-winning coach. Taco Charlton Youth Jersey . According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Babcock and Red Wings general manager Ken Holland are expected to meet later this week or early next week at the latest, with a contract offer to be presented at that time. Babcock, who also coached Canada to back to back gold medals at the Winter Olympics, is in the final year of his contract with the Detroit Red Wings. TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reported earlier this month that both sides would talk about a contract prior to the start of the season and if nothing gets done, reconvene after the season. At the end of the day, that makes the most sense, Holland told LeBrun on Sept. 4. Our team doesnt need an everyday Mike Babcock watch all year long. We are going to talk in September, and well see where we go. Xavier Woods Womens Jersey .C. -- Gleason Fournier scored the shootout winner as the Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the Abbotsford Heat 4-3 Friday in American Hockey League action. Jourdan Lewis Jersey . Roma has a game in hand but now second place is even at risk for the capital side as Napoli moved to within three points with the win. "The result is not always fair," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "If we play like this until the end we will win many matches.TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs resume their post-Olympic NHL schedule next Thursday when they visit the New York Islanders but whether injured forward Dave Bolland is in the lineup remains uncertain. Bollands agent Anton Thun says the Mimico, Ont., native still needs one more doctors visit to get final clearance to return to game action. While the rest of his teammates headed for vacation destinations during the Olympic break, Bolland spent his time skating with his former junior team, the London Knights. "I was inside, you can tell by my tan," Bolland joked Thursday. "I was mostly inside the rink doing my rehab and trying to get back in that game mode. "Its close. Getting there. Im on my way upward." Bolland, who has been out since Nov. 2 recovering from a skate cut to his left ankle, travelled with the team on their final pre-Olympic road trip to Florida and Tampa Bay. At the time, coach Randy Carlyle said there was a 50 per cent chance Bolland could play but following Thursdays first post-Olympic-break practice, the forward was still dealing with pain. "Youre always going to feel the pain," said Bolland, who still participated in a full practice, including a 10-minute bag skate. "I know coming off the ice every day youre feeling pain and its always aching and bugging you. Its never going to be fine. I know every day I come off the ice, Im always in the trainers room getting ice." Dion Phanneuf knows what Bolland is going through, having dealt with his own skate cut during the 2010-11 season. Ryan Switzer Jersey. Phaneuf had his MCL severed by a skate during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers and missed nearly a month. "Any time you come back from any injury, you want to test it in a game because games are a lot different than practice," Phaneuf said. "You can ask any guy that comes back from anything . . . game speed is different than in practice. It takes you a little while to get back to feeling 100 per cent but Im sure hes going to come back . . . I just know when we get him back its a big boost for our team." When Bolland does return, Carlyle said he would be eased into the lineup, likely sparing him from penalty-killing duties. However, the addition of Bolland gives Carlyle added depth. "Any time you can add of that calibre, it does change the makeup of your lineup," said the coach. "We think that Bolland and Mason Raymond and whoever we decide to put there (gives) us a 2A and a 2B type of offensive numbers. Thats what were really looking for." Prior to the injury, Bolland was on pace for his best season with six goals and 10 points in 15 games. But after missing 45 games, he doesnt expect to pick up where he left off. "My expectations will be a little bit lower and things wont be as high but I know gradually, the first two or three games, Ill be back in the mix." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

-old Banks died Friday of a heart attack. A visitation

CHICAGO - Ernie Banks fans got their first chance to pay their respects to the most famous and beloved Chicago Cub who ever played after the statue of the Hall of Famer was placed in a downtown plaza Wednesday. Derek Rivers Youth Jersey .One after another, fans stopped in Daley Plaza to take photos of the statue that normally stands at Wrigley Field. The city and the Cubs took the unprecedented step of taking the statue out of storage — where it was being held while the ballpark is renovated — and putting it on public display away from its usual home. The 83-year-old Banks died Friday of a heart attack. A visitation will be held this coming Friday, followed by a memorial service Saturday.By 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, the plaza was growing crowded with fans admiring the statue of Banks, frozen in the batting stance that kids in Chicago in the 1950s and 1960s grew up imitating. They told stories about their connections to Banks, whether it was watching him play or meeting him.My family and my brothers were always watching him on TV and there was nobody like Ernie Banks, said McKenzie Holmes, 51, his postal worker uniform topped off with a Cubs hat. My brother just passed and I was thinking hes up there playing catch with Ernie now.Trudi Burns took pictures for her son. Though hes 23 and has only seen Banks in action on clips of games played long before he was born, Burns said he insisted she take a photo. Its his birthday this month and he said, Mom, I dont want anything else. I just want a picture of Ernie, she said, adding that the day Banks died her son named his new puppy Banks.Jim Kosik, 54, told of how Banks signed a ball for him in the 60s — a ball he has since lost. He, too, took pictures, for himself and his family.I will send a photo to relatives who left Chicago so they can share the moment, he said.Later, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, accompanied by Banks widow, placed a wreath at the statue, saying that while Banks has long been known as Mr. Cub, he always will be and always has been Mr. Chicago. The statue will remain at Daley Plaza through Saturday, just a few feet away from a Picasso sculpture — an ironic placement given that in 1967 an alderman called on the city to replace what he saw as a hideous piece of junk with a statue of, thats right, Ernie Banks. Deatrich Wise Jr. Jersey . But Karim Benzema and Jese Rodriguez scored in each half for Madrid to come out of the first leg with the firm advantage.VANCOUVER - Corey Perrys scored the shootout winner as the Anaheim Ducks edged the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in NHL action Thursday night.Perrys goal on Anaheims first shootout attempt was the only one the Ducks needed. They got another one from Jakob Silfverberg that proved meaningless after Vancouvers Radim Vrbata and Nick Bonino failed to score on their attempts. The Ducks (12-4-5) earned their first win in five games while the Canucks lost for the second time in three contests. Anaheim also avenged a Nov. 9 home shootout loss to Vancouver. The Canucks (13-6-1) lost their first one-goal game this season, becoming the last in the NHL to do so.Rookie Bo Horvat, with his first NHL career goal, Jannik Hansen and Radim Vrbata scored for the Canucks in regulation time.Andrew Cogliano, Ryan Getzlaf, and Matt Beleskey had the goals for the Ducks.Former Canucks centre Ryan Kesler played his first game in Vancouver since being traded to the Ducks in the summer. Fans showed little reaction at the start of the game as he was pictured on the scoreboard screen with the caption Welcome back Ryan. He was booed in the second period, overtime and the shootout. The Canucks outshot the Ducks 28-26, but Anaheim held a 5-1 edge in overtime.Anaheim led 2-0 after 20 minutes, but the Canucks scored three consecutive goals in the second. The Ducks were blanked on three power plays. It did not register a shot on the second and third man-advantage opportunities. Vancouver only had one power play as a result of a cross-checking penalty to Kesler, Anaheims only infraction, at the end of the first period. The Canucks got off to a rough start as a wide-open Cogliano tucked in a loose puck, after it caromed ooff skates, only 37 seconds into the game. Deatrich Wise Jr. Patriots Jersey. It was Anaheims first shot. On the second one, Lack was forced to stop a Getzlaf one-timer and watched as the Canucks made a series of defensive lapses. Then, with the game barely a minute and a half old, the Canucks lost defenceman Dan Hamhuis to a leg injury after he clipped skates with teammate Daniel Sedin.Getzlaf put the Ducks ahead 2-0 at 13:10 of the first as he roofed a backhand following a give-and-go with Patrick Maroon. As the first-period horn sounded, Kesler scuffled with Canucks winger Derek Dorsett and Horvat. The two Canucks then teamed up offensively at 3:08 of the second period, reducing Vancouvers deficit. Acting as the trailer, Horvat scored on a one-timer from the slot off Dorsetts nifty backhand pass. The goal was also Horvats first NHL career point. The 19-year-old Rodney, Ont., native played his seventh game of the season and can suit up in two more before the Canucks must activate his contract or return him to junior.Vancouver turned their deficit into a 3-2 advantage midway through the second period as Hansen, on a slapshot, and Vrbata, with a backhand deke, scored 30 seconds apart.Beleskey created a 3-3 tie at 11:52 of the third period as he jammed in his own rebound.Notes: Canucks winger Alex Burrows missed the game due to an undisclosed injury. … Earlier Thursday, the Ducks traded defenceman Bryan Allen, a former Canuck, to Montreal for winger Rene Bourque. … The Canucks also made a trade, completing a swap of centres as minor-leaguer Kellan Lain went to Edmonton in exchange for Will Acton. … Ducks defenceman Hampus Lindholm, 20, is one game away from 100 for his NHL career. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

James Wade should be taken more seriously as a title contender at this years World Matchplay Darts, says Sky Sports expert Rod Studd. Langston Galloway Kings Jersey . Michael van Gerwen begins his defence of the title on Saturday night at Blackpools Winter Gardens, live on Sky Sports, but Studd believes last years losing finalist is being overlooked...I just find it utterly bemusing and bewildering that Wade is still being dismissed as a 25-1 underdog and outsider, considering his record at the World Matchplay. Five players are rated more likely to win the tournament by the bookmakers, which I find very surprising. He loves the format, he loves the stage, and for James Wade to be dismissed in this tournament, I find absolutely astonishing. Rod Studd There is only one man in this field that has a better World Matchplay record and thats Phil Taylor. Wade has won the tournament once in 2007, but has been in the final five other times and three of the last five finals. Hes won 35 games in 44 attempts on the Winter Garden stage. He loves the format, he loves the stage, and for James Wade to be dismissed in this tournament, I find absolutely astonishing.Hes in the opposite half to Michael van Gerwen, in a very difficult quarter of the draw, which features Raymond van Barneveld and Phil Taylor. But hes won his last two games against Taylor and he also beat Phil in the Matchplay semi-final last year, so I dont think he will fear The Power.  Check out the final leg between James Wade and Phil Taylor in the semi-final of the World Matchplay Asked the most likely winner, youre going to say Michael van Gerwen, and I certainly wont be writing off Phil Taylor, thats for sure.Van Gerwen goes off favourite, but he went off favourite in the World Championship, and we know what happened then. There are no guarantees in sport and there are no guarantees in darts, with so many players so closely matched and being capable of averaging 100-105. Watch how Michael van Gerwen defeated James Wade to become the World Matchplay champion I think it will be an absolutely terrific tournament and predicting the competition with any accuracy is not easy, but I just like the way Wade is going about his business at the moment and I like the way he plays in Blackpool, so I will nail my colours to the mast of The Machine.Watch the opening night of the World Matchplay this Saturday, starting at 7pm on Sky Sports.  Also See: Dellers darts: Six shocks WATCH: Lloyds winning 170 Matchplay running order WATCH: Harrington-Baxter final DeMarcus Cousins Kings Jersey . Neither player was available Saturday for the Knicks 107-98 loss in Atlanta. "Were going in a different direction and weve got to figure out another spot or two for our ballclub," coach Mike Woodson said before the game.MONTREAL -- It wont take long for Thomas Vanek to get his first taste of the heated Montreal Canadiens-Boston Bruins rivalry. The 30-year-old acquired by Montreal at last weeks NHL trade deadline will play his first home game at the Bell Centre against the Bruins on Wednesday night. "Rivalries are for the fans," Vanek said Tuesday. "Theyre good for the league, but for us in here, and Im sure its the same as everywhere. Its just about winning the two points. "But Im sure the atmosphere will be great and I cant wait to experience it." Vanek has a reputation as a Bruins killer, with 61 points in 53 career games against Boston. So the acquisition of the high-scoring forward by Montreal gave an added jolt to the rivalry. But the Austrian winger said there are no secrets about how to score on the Bruins. "Numbers are numbers," he said. "Sometimes theyre overblown. "I dont prepare any different. Its just another game, really. Theyre a good team and youve got to be ready. The last four or five years, Boston has been one of the better teams in the league and you want to play your best against the best teams." The Canadiens are 2-0-0 against Boston this season and have won their last five meetings. But the Bruins (42-17-5) hold a comfortable 12-point lead over Montreal (35-24-7) in the Atlantic Division standings. Vanek was acquired while the Canadiens were on a four-game west coast road trip. So he didnt get in a full practice with his new team until it returned to Montreal. He was held without a point in his first two games with Montreal while playing on the second line with centre Tomas Plekanec and Brian Gionta. Some feel he would do better on a more attack-oriented unit, as Plekanec is considered the clubs top defensive centre even if he can also contribute offensively. "Weve got to be good in our own zone and Plekanec is very good in all zones," said Vanek. "He can make plays. Hes greaat in faceoffs, great defensively, but at the same time, were expected to produce. Georgios Papagiannis Jersey. "At least thats what Im expecting of myself." Coach Michel Therrien plans to keep the line together, at least for now. "It takes time for players to adapt to new teammates," said Therrien. "I want to be patient. I think that combination can work." Tuesdays session, which lasted more than an hour at the Bell Centre, saw goalie Carey Price take part in a full practice for the first time since leading Canada to gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Price aggravated a suspected groin injury in his first practice after the Sochi Games. Therrien said Price wont dress for the Boston game but will be re-evaluated at the end of the week. That opens the possibility of playing Saturday at home against Ottawa. Therrien also said Francis Bouillon, who has sat out the last seven games, will play. Montreal is hurting on defence with veteran Josh Gorges out at least four weeks with a fractured left hand. Gorges was hurt while blocking a shot during a 4-3 win over Toronto on March 1. He played the first two games of Montreals road trip but then was sent home to have his hand re-examined. Gorges said the original fracture was considered stable, so he could continue playing. But something happened during a win in Anaheim that made it unstable. "At that point, they felt it was best to get it fixed," he said. "Potentially, it might not have been able to heal at all so they decided to have it fixed now and have me back ready by the end of the year." He said playing through the injury was difficult, but possible. "I was able to do what I needed to contribute," he said. "Certain aspects were tough. "Grabbing my stick. Grabbing the puck if I needed to clear it on the penalty kill. But I was still able to make passes, receive passes. As long as I wasnt hurting the team, I was able to go." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ST. Joe Williams Womens Jersey . PETERSBURG, Russia -- Robert Lewandowski scored twice as Borussia Dortmund took a big step toward the Champions League quarterfinals with a 4-2 victory at Zenit St. Petersburg on Tuesday. Losing finalists last year, Dortmund made a blistering start with Henrikh Mkhitaryan scoring in the fourth minute and Marco Reus doubling the visitors lead a minute later. Zenit, which hadnt played a competitive game since Dec. 11 due to the Russian winter break, looked rusty, but pulled one back through Oleg Shatov in the 57th. Lewandowski replied four minutes later, after playing a one-two with Poland teammate Lukasz Piszczek. Then Piszczek conceded a penalty and Hulk scored emphatically from the spot in the 69th. Lewandowski responded by scoring his sides fourth away goal two minutes later to leave Dortmund firmly in control before the second-leg of the round-of-16 tie on March 19. "We were close to optimal this evening," Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp said. "It was a great game, no question." After more than two months without competitive football, the home side buckled early on under the visitors pressure and struggled to keep up with their quick passing game. The tactics quickly paid off for Dortmund when Reus ran at the Zenit defence, staying on his feet when he might have been awarded a penalty, before Mkhitaryan swept the loose ball past Yuri Lodygin. The visiting fans were still celebrating when Kevin Grosskreutz knocked Mkhitaryans cross back for Reus to volley inside the right post. "We stayed compact. We wanted to pressure them to win back the ball. That was very important," Dortmund captain Sebastian Kehl said. "We brought the game in the right direction and made Zenit uncertain." Zenits attacking midfielder Andrey Arshavin went off with what looked a hamstring injury in the 15th minute, and last-gasp defending from its captain Nicolas Lombaerts prevented Lewandowski from getting Dortmunds third shortly afterward. Zenit was let down by sloppy play and nervous defending, with Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, who came on for the injured Arshavin, giving the ball away cheaply to highlight his sides travails. Hulk was fired up but his shot failed to trouble Roman Weidenfeller and his only reward for taking on three Dortmund defenders was a corner, which came to nothing. Lodygin pulled off a good save to deny Lewandowski three minutes after the interval, before Zenit responded with a period of pressure. It finally paid off when Shatov scored in fortuitous fashion. Marcel Schmelzer cleared Hulks effort off the line and Jose Rondon struck the post from the rebound, before the loose ball fell kindly for Shatov to blast home. Dortmund soon replied, with Lewandowski playing a one-two with Poland teammate Lukasz Piszczek and firing beyond Lodygin, who got a touch to the ball. The home side was given a lifeline when Piszczek was adjudged to have fouled Viktor Fayzulin. Hulk duly obliged with his penalty. But Lewandowski provided another immediate response after Tymoshchuk lost possession. Reus sent the ball into the Poland strikers path and he fired inside the far corner for his sixth of the campaign. "I dont have the feeling that it was easy," Klopp said in response to a question from a Russian journalist. "I think we had to work very hard." The game was played with the section normally occupied by Zenits ultra fans closed due to racist behaviour, fireworks and crowd disturbances during a group stage loss at Austria Vienna on Dec. 11. There was also tight security in place around the Petrovsky Stadium to prevent any further trouble. Zenits Italian coach Luciano Spalletti said the tie was not yet decided and that his side still has a chance of going through. "In football theres always a chance of coming back," Spalletti said. "Everything depends on what kind of performance you deliver. It all depends on what you put into it, how much youre prepared to run. It depends on your effort." Reuben Foster Womens Jersey . CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Steve Smith era in Carolina is over. The Panthers released their all-time leading receiver on Thursday after 13 seasons. Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman said it "was not an easy decision" in a press release. "Steve has been one of the NFLs finest receivers for over a decade and has been the face of the franchise for a large part of the teams history," Gettleman said. "As a team, we made a step forward last year; however we are also a team in transition, which is a part of the NFL." Smith said on radio Thursday hes not angry about the decision. "Its devastating to hear that you are getting fired, but its also exciting because that frees me up to be pursued by other teams," Smith told Taylor Zarzour of SiriusXMs Bleacher Report Radio." I have never become a free agent before so I will get a few free dinners out of it at some nice expensive restaurants. I want to enjoy the experience that, frankly, I will never experience again." Smith reiterated he wants to play in the NFL and that being released "awoke a sleeping giant" inside of him. The decision comes one day after Smiths agent, Derrick Fox, told The Associated Press that the 13-year NFL veteran "is not going to play for the Panthers next year, I know that." Fox said the Panthers never asked Smith, who turns 35 in May, to restructure his current contract. The Panthers were unable to trade Smith, who was set to cost $7 million under this years salary cap. The Panthers still owe Smith $3 million this season. The decision has not been a popular one among Carolina fans. Gettleman addressed that in his press release. "When I took this position I knew that difficult decisions would have to be made along the way," Gettleman said. "To move on from a storied veteran player is probably the most difficult of all. A decision not to be taken lightly. However, after much thought I feel very strongly its the right one." "As Ive stated many times, all decisions I make will be in the long-term best interest of the Carolina Panthers. Decisions, either popular or unpopular, have to be made for the greater good and it is imperative to take an unemotional global view. Sometimes it may appear that short term interests will suffer, and I can assure you we have no interest in taking a step back from our 2013 accomplishments." The Panthers also lost wide receivers Domenik Hixon and Ted Ginn Jr. to free agency on Thursday. Hixon signed with the Chicago Bears and Ginn with the Arizona Cardinals. Panthers cornerback Captain Munnerlyn told The Associated Press he has signed with the Minnesota Vikings for a deal that could pay him $15 million over three years with incentives. Raekwon McMillan Youth Jersey. One possible replacement at wide receiver is free agent Hakeem Nicks, a Charlotte native who played for New York Giants. The Smith move marks the end of an era for the Panthers. Smith joined the team as a third-round draft pick out of Utah in 2001. He made an immediate impact in the NFL, returning the opening kickoff of the season for a touchdown against the Vikings. He became the first Panthers rookie selected to the Pro Bowl, earning that honour as a return specialist. Known for his feisty behaviour on the field, Smith became a dominant receiver over the next 12 seasons. He is Carolinas all-time leader with 75 total touchdowns and has 836 receptions for 12,197 yards. "On the football field Steve had a competitive arrogance that (was) second to none -- second to none," said former Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme in a telephone interview. "That helped him be as good as he was. He made other guys step up their game. But off the field he was totally different. He loves his wife and his family. Hes a genuinely good person with a great heart." Panthers coach Ron Rivera said in the release: "He is a great competitor with Hall of Fame-worthy statistics and has made a great contribution to our community." Fox said Smith would have welcomed a chance to move inside to slot receiver, but the team never offered him that opportunity. As productive as Smith was, his fiery personality often rubbed people the wrong way, and some viewed him as a distraction in the locker room. Smith had run-ins with teammates on at least two occasions. He punched out fellow wide receiver Anthony Bright in a film room fight and later socked cornerback Ken Lucas on the field during a practice at training camp in Spartanburg, S.C. On both occasions, Smith was suspended by the team. Delhomme said that was a "humbling experience" for Smith, who apologized to Lucas and the teams fans after the incident. Despite the two incidents, Smith was immensely popular with the fan base, in large part due to his production on the field. He also worked hard to change his public image over the last several years and has been an active member of the Charlotte community. When asked if he was surprised Smith was released, Delhomme said, "It does surprise, but thats the NFL. I mean, look, Peyton Manning plays for the Denver Broncos -- that the way it goes." NOTES: Panthers backup quarterback Derek Anderson announced Thursday on Twitter he has re-signed with Carolina for a fourth season. Anderson tweeted: "Happy to be coming back to Charlotte next season!" Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Mason was called for intentional grounding

COLUMBIA, S. Chad Kelly Jersey .C. -- Dylan Thompson threw for three touchdowns and No. 24 South Carolinas maligned defence stood strong on a fourth-quarter goal line stand to topple No. 6 Georgia 38-35 on Saturday night. The Bulldogs (1-1, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) had a first-and-goal on the Gamecocks 4 down three points with 5:24 remaining. But Hutson Mason was called for intentional grounding to set Georgia back and the usually reliable Marshall Morgan missed a 28-yard field goal. "When they missed the field goal, thats the loudest its been in a long time," Thompson said. Todd Gurley ran for 131 yards and a touchdown, yet the Gamecocks (2-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) kept the Bulldogs star from making a bigger impact. The victory was South Carolina coach Steve Spurriers 201st as a SEC coach, tying him for second all-time with Georgia great Vince Dooley. It put the Gamecocks back in the SEC East race. South Carolina waited out a few moments of drama on its last series in the weekends lone game between ranked teams. Thompsons sneak on fourth-and-short at midfield just reached the first-down marker with 1:22 left. Georgia coach Mark Richt challenged the spot, but his appeal was turned down. Gamecock players, bashed by fans and commentators since falling to No. 7 Texas A&M 52-28 two games ago, sprinted to the student section to celebrate their fourth victory in their last five meetings with Georgia. "Like I said last week, some wins are better than others," Spurrier said with a smile. The win also made Spurrier 16-6 in his career against the Bulldogs and moved him past Auburns Shug Jordan for most victories all-time vs. Georgia. The Bulldogs entered with momentum and a Heisman Trophy front-runner in Gurley after their 45-21 defeat of No. 23 Clemson to start the season. But South Carolina put them on their heels in a hurry, Thompson going 4-for-4 for 64 yards including a 10-yard scoring throw to Roland. After Georgia moved in front 10-7 -- and Morgan hit an SEC-record 19th straight field goal -- the Gamecocks got help to regain the lead. A Georgia interception was ruled pass interference on cornerback Devin Bowman before defensive tackle Toby Johnson hit Thompson late to push the Gamecocks to the Bulldogs 8. Thompson found Pharoh Cooper moments later for a 14-10 lead. Thompsons 18-yard pass to Rory Anderson and Elliott Frys 32-yard field goal sent the Gamecocks to the half ahead 24-13. Little went right for the Bulldogs in the opening half, with Morgan missing a 44-yarder after making 20 straight. He broke the SEC mark he shared with Tennessees Fuad Reviez with a 36-yard field goal in the first quarter then added a 26-yard field goal. Gurley, who had 198 yards rushing and four touchdowns (one on a kickoff return) to beat Clemson, looked ready to go off Saturday night with 30 yards on his first three carries in the opening period. Thats when the Gamecocks zeroed in on Georgias star tailback, who was held to 14 yards the rest of the half. Gurley also had a 54-yard TD run wiped out because of holding on sophomore guard Brandon Kublanow. Mike Davis, who gained 149 yards against Georgia a year ago, finished with 66 yards while backup Brandon Wilds led the Gamecocks with 93 yards rushing and a 24-yard TD. Georgia closed to three points one last time on Quayvon Hicks 1-yard scoring run with 7:10 left. The game was delayed nearly 90 minutes because of lightning and severe weather. Jake Butt Youth Jersey . Scott scored a career-high 30 points, Jeff Teague added 28 and the Hawks rallied to beat the New York Knicks 107-98 on Saturday night. In the days leading up to the draft, TSN.ca and TSN Radio basketball analyst Duane Watson looks at some of the names that will be headlining the event. Watch the 2014 NBA Draft on TSN, Thursday at 7pm et/4pm pt. Name: Khem BirchFrom: Montreal, QuebecPlayed: University of Nevada, Las VegasHeight: 69"Weight: 209 Position: Power Forward2013-2014 Stats: 11.5 points per game, 10.2 rebounds, 3.8 blocks Breakout Game: 15 points, 15 rebounds, 6 blocks assists in win vs. Boise State on Feb 1.Accolades: 2013-14 Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year, finished second in the nation in blocked shots per game.Draft Projection: Mid-late second round.Comparable NBA player: Chris Andersen Khem Birchs young basketball career has already been fuelled by some interesting decisions. Birch entered the NCAA ranks as the 11th-best high school player in the United States, and accepted a scholarship with the University of Pittsburgh. However, the Montreal native controversially left Pitt only 10 games into his freshman season. At the point of his departure, he earned a spot in the starting line up and showed glimpses of the defence and athleticism that made him a blue chip prospect. Yet after citing team issues of selfishness, he returned home to figure out his next move, which would eventually lead him to transfer to UNLV. Birch played two seasons at UNLV, his first coinciding with Toronto native Anthony Bennetts standout fresshman campaign that culminated in his first overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Garett Bolles Jersey. Bennett outshined Birch with his dominant play and impressive stat line, yet Birch was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year. This season with Bennett out of the picture, Birch almost doubled his scoring (7.5 ppg to 11.5 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg to 10.2 rpg) averaging a double-double, and again winning Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year honours. Despite improvement across the board Birch is very much a raw athlete, and instead of spending another year at school to work on his offensive game, he declared for the 2014 NBA Draft. Birchs strength is his defence. His 71" wingspan placed him second in the NCAA in blocked shots behind fellow Canadian Jordan Bachynski at a clip of 3.8 per game. His quickness and mobility make him a strong rim protector and help defender where his tenacity on defence cant be overlooked, tallying 1.2 steals per game. Offensively, he can run the floor and moves well without the ball, but is very limited in terms of offensive moves. His inability to create his own shot, coupled with his slight build will make it hard for him to maintain position in the low post. Quite simply, Birch will have to bulk up, which will help him on the defensive end as well. A great athlete with a high motor equals lots of upside, yet hes still a project. If an NBA team wants to develop him and help round out his game, its not a risk, but a long-term investment. It would be an interesting choice, however thats something that Birch is not averse to. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ChinaCheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

CHESTER, Pa. Tanoh Kpassagnon Womens Jersey . -- Deshorn Brown scored the tying goal in the 86th minute as the Colorado Rapids rallied for a 3-3 draw against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday. Brown turned on his man and riffled in a left-footed shot to the lower right-hand corner for his sixth goal of the season. Andrew Wenger gave Philadelphia a 3-1 lead in the 74th minute when he touched in a deflected ball in the 6-yard box. But Dillon Powers converted a penalty kick five minutes later for Colorado. Michael Lahoud was handed a red card on the play for a high kick. Conor Casey got Philadelphia (4-8-7) on the board after redirecting a cross in the 16th minute. But Colorado (7-5-6) answered two minutes later on Dillon Sernas goal from the top of the 18-yard box. Sheanon Williams headed home a corner kick in the 31st minute to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead at the break. Patrick Mahomes II Jersey .ca has you covered for whos in, whos out and what to expect from all 30 teams. Patrick Mahomes II Chiefs Jersey . "I dont know where we would be without him," McClendon said. "Hes done a tremendous job for us and (Wednesday) was no different." Logan Morrison drove in two runs in Seattles big sixth inning, Young pitched seven strong innings and the Mariners beat the Houston Astros 5-2 to complete a three-game sweep.MONTREAL - The gloom of starting the season with three straight defeats hasnt descended on the Montreal Impact just yet. The players and their new, as-yet winless coach Frank Klopas, were upbeat this week as they prepared to face the Union on Saturday in Philadelphia. "The effort and intensity have been very good," said Klopas. "Everybodys shown theyre ready to play. Those setbacks will go away if we keep working like we have been." There is reason for optimism, starting with the return of star forward Marco Di Vaio and midfielder Andres Romero from the three-game suspensions they incurred from a scuffle at the end of their playoff game in October in Houston. The 38-year-old Di Vaio, a 20-goal scorer last season, may help them end a goalless string that has reached 205 minutes after being shut out in their last two matches. "Hes a competitive person, but its for the right reasons — for the group," Klopas said of Di Vaio. "His ability to create, and wanting ball in difficult moments, and to score goals... dont mean anything to him unless it helps the team win." Di Vaio is likely to step in for Andrew Wenger, who had a goal in a season-opening 3-2 loss in Dallas while filling in as the lone forward. It was not clear if Romero would start in his usual left midfield position or be available off the bench. There were also reports this week that the club is close to signing a third designated player to go with the Italian Di Vaio and Argentine midfielder Hernan Bernarello. Ignacio Piatti, an attacking midfielder who usually plays on the left wing, is believed ready to ink a deal that would see him join the Impact in June from the San Lorenzo club in Argentina. The team that opened camp with no significant signings, despite a late season plummet from first to fifth place last season, looks ready to make some changes. They also added fullback Heath Pearce during camp. A former Major League Soccer all-star with the New York Red Bulls who is coming off hip surgery, Pearce saw his first game action off the bench in a 2-0 loss at home last week to the Seattle Sounders. "I feel healthy and fit," the 29-year-old Pearce said. "Its been a long process. I ffeel young again. Tanoh Kpassagnon Chiefs Jersey. ." It was uncertain if he will start at left back, where the teams first round pick in this years draft, Eric Miller, has been impressive. Pearce likes how the Impact have not hung their heads despite the losses. The team started the 2013 campaign with four straight wins. "I dont think theres cause for alarm right now based on our results," he said. "Ive been in situations before where seasons didnt start well and Ive see a complete change in attitude and things get really dark and negative, but here its been upbeat." Defence has been an issue as Montreal has conceded six goals while scoring only twice. They have been lively on attack, leading the league with 57 shot attempts and 20 on target, but aging centreback Matteo Ferrari and converted fullback Hassoun Camera have been overwhelmed at times on counterattacks and set pieces. The Impact are missing centre back Adrian Lopez, who is due to resume practising soon after knee surgery, and the oft-injured Nelson Rivas. They hope to fix their defensive problems against Philadelphia. Montreal is 3-1-1 with 10 goals against the Union scored since joining MLS in 2012. The Union (1-1-1), coming off a 2-1 loss in Columbus, made major off-season changes including the addition of American midfielder Maurice Edu and midfielders Vincent Noguiera and Cristian Maidana. But they also have injury issues on defence, with converted forward Aaron Wheeler now playing in the middle. Impact goalkeeper Troy Perkins said the Union are a puzzle. "With the players they have, especially the new players theyve added, you dont know what youll get," he said. "You dont know if theyll be a high press team or if theyll sit back and counter or if theyll try to play possession. "So you just have to go in and play your game and make them adapt to you." The Impact start the season with three of four games on the road, but after Philadelphia they will be back at Olympic Stadium for their next two against New York and Chicago. Note _ The Impact have loaned 20-year-old midfielder Zakaria Messoudi to the Ottawa Fury of the NASL. The former Canada u20 player is a product of the Impacts academy. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Senators were on the verge of a massive comeback, only to fall short in overtime. Udonis Haslem Heat Jersey . After overcoming a three-goal deficit the Senators forced the game to overtime only to watch it slip away as Seth Jones scored the winner 3:49 into the extra period as the Nashville Predators defeated the Senators 4-3 Monday night. Ryan Ellis broke in alone on goaltender Robin Lehner and Jones was there to bang home the loose puck. "It was a tough one to slip away and we almost gave it away," said Jones. "We need all the points we can get right now so it was nice to pull away with two." The win allowed the Predators (27-28-10) to snap a four-game losing streak. The Senators say they take solace in earning the single point, but at the same time know they need to be better if they hope to stay in the playoff race. "The way the game was looking going into the third period it looked pretty bleak for us to get that one point so well take the positive," said Ottawas Marc Methot. "It would have been nice to get two, but were happy with the resiliency we showed at the end." Nick Spaling, Craig Smith and Eric Nystrom also scored for Nashville. Pekka Rinne faced 37 shots. This was Rinnes first victory in four starts since returning from injury. Jared Cowen, Methot and Jason Spezza scored for the Senators (28-25-12). Craig Anderson allowed three goals on 29 shots before leaving the game early in the third. Lehner faced 13 shots in relief. Senators coach Paul MacLean said he didnt have an immediate update on Anderson, but didnt believe it was anything serious. Holding a 3-0 lead the Predators nearly let the game slip away in the third as the Senators scored twice in a span of 2:39. "I thought we played real well, especially the first two periods," said Nashvilles Mike Fisher. "We thought we were the better team, but then gave them a little life in the third and the crowd came alive for them and before you knew it, it was 3-3." Spezza tied the game with 67 seconds remaining in regulation. The newly acquired Ales Hemsky, who had three assists, found Spezza at the side of the net and the Senators captain banged it in. "We knew we had to make a push in the third and it showed a lot of character for us to get a point," said Spezza. "We kept coming and coming, but it sure would have been nice to pull that one out in overtime." The comeback started midway through the third, as Cowen was able to find the puck through traffic in front and push it past Rinne. Spezza picked up his second assist of the night as he found a surging Methot to make it a 3-2 game at the halfway mark. The Predators three unanswered second period goals appeared to make this game look all but decided. "We normally do a better job of locking these games down," said Predators head coach Barry Trotz. Anderson could hardly be blamed for any of the goals as he was the victim of two redirections and a giveaway. Andersons night came to an end at 4:10 of the third after he was hit in the head by teammate Milan Michalek. On the first goal Spaling tipped a Michael Del Zotto point shot at the eight-minute mark of the second. Less than two minutes later Colin Wilson won the faceoff in the Senators end and got the puck to Jones on the point. The blue liner then passed it to Mattias Ekholm, who took a shot that Smith re-directed in front. The Predators made it 3-0 on Nystroms unassisted goal. Methot went to clear the puck and it landed directly on Nystroms stick for the easy finish on Anderson. A scoreless first period was highlighted by the damage inflicted by Shea Webers powerful shot. First, Anderson dropped to the ice after taking a Weber shot in the shoulder and minutes later Cody Ceci took a shot to the head that left him with a lacerated right ear. He did not return to the game. "You never want to see anyone go down like that," said Weber. "Hopefully hes doing all right because thats nothing you ever want to see." Following the game Ceci tweeted, "Thanks for all your concerns just a cut and a little shaken up should be back at it soon enough." Choo was formally introduced Friday, nearly a week after agreeing to a $130 million, seven-year deal. "It was a perfect fit," general manager Jon Daniels said. "His skill set, his personality, his personal goals and desires really lineup up perfectly with ours and what our club needed. ... Hes really been one of the most productive offensive players in the game for a period of time now." The 31-year-old South Korean outfielder has a .288 career average and .389 on-base percentage in 853 major league games for Seattle (2005-06), Cleveland (2006-12) and Cincinnati (2013). Choo has at least 20 homers and 20 stolen bases three times, including last season when he started 150 games in centre field and was the primary leadoff hitter for the Reds in his only year there. With numerous teams interested during free agency, Choo said he was looking for a winning team and somewhere his wife and three young children would be comfortable. "The Texas Rangers were the best fit for me," Choo said. "It was very easy to pick." Agent Scott Boras called it a "tremendous baseball fit" for both sides. Texas last month acquired five-time All-Star first baseman Prince Fielder from Detroit in a trade for second baseman Ian Kinsler. Only Mike Trout (564) and Miguel Cabrera (562) have reached base more than last two seasons than Choo (556) and Fielder (542). "We talked early on about our desire to remake our offence, both in personnel, but also equally importantly in style," Daniels said. "We feel very good about what weve been able to accomplish to this point." Texas missed the playoffs for the first time in four years and scored only 730 runs, its fewest in a non-strike seasson since 1992. Chris Bosh Jersey. Choo was presented jersey No. 17, which had been worn by free-agent slugger Nelson Cruz, the 2011 AL championship series MVP who hit 27 home runs with 76 RBIs in 109 games for Texas last season. Cruz was suspended 50 games after Major League Baseballs investigation into a Florida clinic accused of distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs, but returned to play in the AL wild-card tiebreaker game the Rangers lost. The addition of Choo, whose salary will average about $18.6 million per season, also lessens the likelihood of Texas being serious bidders for Japanese star pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Rangers co-owner Bob Simpson said the team is comfortable where we are in terms of financial commitment " and that "Tanaka would be a tough thing." The Texas payroll is expected to be over $130 million next season. When the ownership group took over during the 2010 season, the same year the Rangers went to the first of consecutive World Series, the payroll was less than $60 million. Choos deal is the third-richest this off-season, behind only Robinson Cano ($240 million, 10 years from Seattle) and Jacoby Ellsbury ($153 million, seven years from New York Yankees). Choo will make $14 million in 2014 and 2015, $20 million from 2016-18, and $21 million the last two years of the deal. There is also a limited no-trade clause and award bonuses, the largest being $250,000 for being selected AL MVP. Rangers manager Ron Washington plans to play Choo in left field and utilize him at the top of the batting order. He had a .423 OBP with Cincinnati and scored 107 runs last season. "Hell be the kind of guy to come back to the dugout and let everyone know exactly what that pitcher is doing. ... Thats old-school baseball right there," Washington said. "Hes a young man bringing old-school values, and thats what I like the most." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Grey Cup MVP. Jake Elliott Bengals Jersey .

TORONTO -- If the Toronto Argonauts are going to defend their CFL title, theyre going to have to do it without their Grey Cup MVP. Jake Elliott Bengals Jersey . Chad Kackert underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a broken ankle and is done for the year, the final blow in a season full of them for the Argos explosive running back. If the Argos can take any measure of comfort into Sundays East Division final versus the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, its that theyve been in this spot for the better part of the season -- having to make do without the player who led them to Grey Cup glory a year ago. "All injuries are frustrating," Argos head coach Scott Milanovich said after Tuesdays walk-through. "From his perspective it was very disappointing, it was a tough year for him with the injuries and finally felt like he was getting healthy, finally felt like he was getting his chance to get in there and do what he wanted to do all year. "Our team is very disappointed for him, but its football, but youve got to rally, and weve got guys who fortunately have played well." Milanovich said he will rely on backups Jerious Norwood and Curtis Steele to fill in for Kackert, and -- regrettably for Kackert -- it wont be the first time. The speedy running back missed 10 of 18 games this season after injuring his knee and shoulder (twice), plus suffering a concussion. The five-foot-eight, 206-pound Kackert was still Torontos leading rusher this season, running for 480 yards on 71 carries (6.8-yard average) with three touchdowns. The former New Hampshire star added 23 catches for 184 yards and a TD. A season hed surely love to forget finally came to a crashing halt Friday afternoon when he injured his ankle at practice at Rogers Centre. The disappointment in losing Kackert is tempered, Milanovich said, by the fact other players have stepped up all season when others have been hurt. "Absolutely, (Norwood and Steele) have played and played well, and played in big games, even on the road, Jerious played in Calgary and Saskatchewan and helped us get wins," Milanovich said. "It would be more nerve-wracking had they not played, and you didnt have the confidence level that theyre going to be in there and execute what youre doing. "As disappointing as it is for Kack, me as a coach and the players as a team have faith in the guys who are going to fill in for him. Were just going to have to move on, unfortunately." Norwood, who is still adjusting to Canadian football, is coming off a big game, running for 102 yards on eight carries in Torontos 23-20 loss to Montreal in the Nov. 1 regular-season finale. Norwood added four catches for 62 yards in replacing Kackert, who in a cruel twist was healthy that night and given the game off to rest for the playoffs. "It was just a terrible accident, and all our thoughts and prayers go out to Kack, but weve got to keep rolling," Norwood said. "Its a team game, when one guy goes down, the next man has got to step up, stick together as a team. Just finish strong." Norwood, who spent five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and was signed by the Argos on Aug. 14 as an insurance policy, has been by Kackerts house to visit his injured teammate. "I just let him know that I loved him and we loved him as a team, and we support him," Norwood said. "He was actually feeling pretty good. . . hes in a good mood, good spirits, hopefully we can go out and get a win for him." Quarterback Ricky Ray said sometimes unfortunate, crazy things happen in practice, and that it was a big blow to see a teammate go down, especially Kackert with his big-play potential. "Its tough not having him but weve got some guys that got a lot of experience this year when he was out, and guys that we feel can go in and do the job," Ray said. "It would be more difficult if Chad had been there the whole year and played every game and now were trying to find guys that can come in without any experience to fill that role. But weve got guys that got significant playing time this year that can come in and do a good job." Steeles best game came in his Argos debut, running for two touchdowns in Torontos 38-12 romp over the B.C. Lions on July 30. "We just knew the situation, (Milanovich) told us that hes got the guys, weve been in this situation before since early in the year when Kack went down and I had to step up and fill those shoes," the rookie running back said. "He just told us to be ready, prepare like we always have." The broken ankle is a heartbreaking ending for Kackert, who was a major part of Torontos success late last season. Just a couple of weeks ago, on the eve of his most recent return to the lineup -- this time after missing two weeks with a shoulder injury -- he had talked about finding solace from Rudyard Kiplings inspirational poem "If." Two lines of the poem read: "If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same. . ." "(The poem offers) perspective and that if I let anything get to my character, then Ive lost," Kackert said in an interview the day before Torontos Oct. 24 game versus Winnipeg. "I kind of had to take that in and understand thats the one thing I do have that cant be taken away." Kackert was presented with last years Grey Cup MVP after powering through the Calgary Stampeders defence for 133 yards on 20 carries in Torontos 35-22 victory. He added 62 yards on eight catches out of the backfield. Josh Malone Bengals Jersey . He liked what he saw on Tuesday night. om of the order. Christian McCaffrey Womens Jersey

NEW YORK – Colby Rasmus returned from a 33-game absence on Wednesday night and manager John Gibbons was eager to get another big bat in the lineup to provide his club a threat near the bottom of the order. Christian McCaffrey Womens Jersey . “He gives us another power threat,” said Gibbons. “We havent had a whole lot of power lately.” The slumping Blue Jays, losers of seven of 10 entering Wednesdays play, activated Rasmus from the disabled list and sent his replacement, Anthony Gose, back to Triple-A Buffalo. It was a long road to recovery for Rasmus, whod been on the disabled list since May 13 with tightness in his right hamstring. Rasmus initially thought the injury would heal in a matter of days. “Its always a learning experience,” said Rasmus. “Pushing yourself too quick or too slow. Every injury is different. This is a different injury and I just had to learn what I did and, hopefully, next time Ill be able to correct it faster. But Im here now and ready to play.” Rasmus is one of the games streakier hitters. When hes hot, he hits home runs in bunches. When he slumps, he swings and misses a lot and strikes out often. In 37 games this season, Rasmus is hitting .222/.266/.489 (.755 OPS) with nine home runs. Twice this season, he has hit three home runs in a span of four games (April 10-13 and May 1-4), which account for six of his nine long balls. Still, Rasmus has struck out in 32.8 per cent of his plate appearances this season, compared to 29.5 per cent last year and 24.6 per cent for his career. “Yeah, I mean hes always been that way,” said Gibbons. “You wish it wasnt so often but, you know, I mean he can run into some balls too and make a difference that way.” LIND CONFIDENT HELL AVOID DISABLED LIST On Wednesday, the Blue Jays played a third consecutive game without the services of designated hitter/first baseman Adam Lind. Linds been down since fouling a ball off his right foot in Saturdays loss at Baltimore. He suffered a deep bone bruise and, on Sunday, was using crutches and wearing a walking boot. Hes since come out of the boot and hit off a tee on Wednesday afternoon. “Theres been improvements every day,” said Lind. “Now, were just working on a tape job to try and relieve as much stress or pain on my foot as we can so I can get in the lineup.” Lind wasnt sure whether he could pinch-hit on Wednesday night. Manager John Gibbons has a three-man bench, not including Lind, and the Blue Jays may be hesitant to use Lind in case he ultimately requires a trip to the disabled list. A DL stint, if needed, could be made retroactive to Sunday (making Lind eligible to return on June 30) as long as he doesnt appear in a game. Based on the progress hes made, Lind isnt planning on being placed on the disabled list. “Its not constant,” said Lind of the pain in his foot. “When I sit still it doesnt hurt. I have a tape job right now and its helped a lot. I hit with spikes, it wasnt so well. I hit with turfs and it was much better. If I pinch hit, Ill be in my turfs.” POWER OUTAGE The Blue Jays are slumping after winning 15 of 17 games. Theyve dropped seven of their last 10, thanks in part to a significant decrease in the number of home runs theyve been hitting. Toronto leads the major leagues with 93 home runs but has hit only four in the last 10 games. Jose Reyes (June 9, June 17) has two of them. The other two were hit by Edwin Encarnacion (June 9) and Juan Francisco (June 13). The Blue Jays won the June 9 game, 5-4 over Minnesota and the June 13 game, 4-0 over Baltimore but lost the June 17 game, 3-1 to New York. Entering Wednesdays play, Jose Bautista was without a home run in 10 games, his longest drought of the season. PRAY FOR NO RAIN The five-day forecast for New York City suggests the Yankees wont have a rainout during their three-game weekend series with the Baltimore Orioles. Thats important to the Blue Jays because right-hander Masahiro Tanaka, who beat Toronto on Tuesday night to improve his record to 11-1, is scheduled to start on Sunday. Naturally, the Blue Jays would like Tanaka to pitch against another divisional opponent. Add to that the fact the Yankees visit Toronto for three games starting on Monday. If the Yankees have a rainout this weekend, Tanakas start could be pushed back into the series with the Blue Jays. As it stands, Toronto is due to miss Tanaka next week. The Yankees are 12-2 in games Tanaka starts and 24-31 otherwise. TWO MORE DRAFT PICKS SIGN The Blue Jays formally announced the signings of third-round pick, left-handed pitcher Nick Wells (83rd overall) and sixth-round pick, left-handed pitcher Grayson Huffman (174th overall). Wells is 18 years old. Huffman is 19 years old. Daeshon Hall Jersey .Y. - Peyton Manning made his fifth MVP award a family affair. Christian McCaffrey Panthers Jersey . Beanballs were the theme Friday night as the Red Sox and Rays had another AL East rumble, with Boston earning a 3-2 victory on A.Brad Richards looked to be on his way out of New York in 2013, when former Rangers coach John Tortorella not only demoted the veteran centre but scratched him in the playoffs. A year later, coach Alain Vigneault started down the same path by putting the 34-year-old on left wing of the Rangers fourth line in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final. Richards played just nine minutes 22 seconds at even strength and a total of 13:20 including power-play time. Vigneault said he met with his lines individually, including Richards, Brian Boyle and Derek Dorsett. He wanted to spell out his reasoning and assignments. "I talked to Brads line. I talked to Brad about the decision I made," Vigneault said Wednesday night after the Rangers 2-1 victory that staved off elimination. "I mean, at this time of the year its only about one thing: Its about the team. You guys know how Richards has been this year, the ultimate pro. Hes fine with whatever I do." Richards, a strong candidate to be bought out of the final six years and US$27 million left on his contract, has no points in the Cup final annd just four goals and four assists in 23 games since a strong opener against the Philadelphia Flyers. Daeshon Hall Womens Jersey. Vigneault said his line shuffling had to do with giving forward Dominic Moore a bigger role. As a result, though, he put Richards in a tough spot to be effective on a checking fourth line. Richards skated just 13 shifts. The 34-year-old managed a couple of quality scoring chances on the power play and was on the ice for a strong five-on-five shift that ended with a Kings penalty. Still, though, longtime friend Martin St. Louis knows what a demotion can mean to any star players ego. Richards was once a Canadian Olympian and 90-point scorer in the NHL. "Richies a pro and a tremendous leader," St. Louis said. "Im sure its tough for him. Hes a pro and a great teammate." Richards isnt expected to be a teammate of St. Louis for much longer. The Rangers have one more compliance buyout to use and just one more off-season window in which to use it, and these playoffs have done little to dispel the notion that hell be playing elsewhere next season. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticWholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Al Jefferson scored 28 points and two others finished with more than 20 as the Bobcats routed the Portland Trail Blazers 124-94 on Saturday night. Kemba Walker added 26 and Gerald Henderson 23 for Charlotte, which posted season bests in points and margin of victory to snap a two-game losing streak. "Its a good win for us, and a good bounce back," Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said. "Theyre an exceptional offensive team, but you could tell our guys were ready to play from the start of the game. When guys came in off the bench, they were ready as well." The Bobcats shot 52 per cent from the field (49 of 94), outscored the Trail Blazers in the paint 54-32 and held a 50-36 rebounding advantage over Portland, which had won its last four games against Charlotte. But the Trail Blazers, playing without leading scorer LaMarcus Aldridge, could never get on track against the Bobcats, trailing by as many as 34 points late in the second half in losing for the first time in their last three games. "Thats when were at our best," Jefferson said. "If you look at all the big wins weve had, especially at home, we had a great start. You could tell in shootaround today that we were focused, we were locked in and we knew that we needed this win tonight." Damian Lillard scored 20 points, Dorell Wright added 17 and Wesley Matthews 15 for Portland, which shot 40.5 per cent (34 of 84) and made just 9 of 27 3-pointers. That allowed the Bobcats to bolt to an early double-digit lead, extend it to as many as 26 points late in the first half, then weather a half-hearted Trail Blazers comeback attempt early in the third quarter. "They shot the ball well, passed the ball well, rebounded the ball well, defended well and basically outplayed us," Portland coach Terry Stotts said. "We certainly could have played better, but they were clicking on all cylinders. "You dont want to just dismiss it as one of those games. You want to learn from it. But losing by 30 points, we dont have the luxury not to play better." Down 69-46 at the half, the Trail Blazers cut Charlottes lead to 17 points three times in the third quarter, the last aat 77-60 on Matthews layup with 6:22 left. Jabrill Peppers Youth Jersey. But Jefferson hit a jumper, followed by a 3-pointer by Walker to push the Bobcats lead back past the 20-point mark, and Portland never challenged again. Charlotte took its biggest lead of the game in the final two minutes behind its reserves, with Jannero Pargos 3-pointer with 1:22 remaining putting the Bobcats ahead 122-88. Behind Jefferson, Walker and Henderson, who combined for 48 points, Charlotte put together two of its best quarters this season in taking command of Saturdays game. After missing its first two shots of the game, the Bobcats hit 11 straight — four by Jefferson, three by Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and two each from Henderson and Walker — to pull ahead 23-9 with 5:03 remaining in the first quarter. "We wanted to double Big Al and take away his post-ups," Lillard said. "Sometimes we didnt even get a chance to double him, and hes already scoring or making good passes out of the post. We were just scrambling the whole time." The Trail Blazers cut the Bobcats lead to 10 points four times late in the quarter, the last at 31-21 on Mo Williams jumper with 54 seconds remaining, and were down 11 points at the end of the quarter. But Charlotte opened the second quarter with 11 unanswered points, with Josh McRoberts two free throws with 10:03 left putting the Bobcats up 42-22, their first 20-point lead of the half. Charlotte took its biggest lead of the half at 26 points late in the second quarter, with Jeffersons layup with 1:43 left capping a 10-3 run for a 67-41 bulge. "Were going to have a good chance to win if all three of us are playing well offensively," Henderson said, referring to Jefferson and Walker. "Were not always going to score that every night, but if we can play the kind of defence that we did tonight, we should have a good chance to win." Notes: Stotts had no update on the return of Aldridge, who leads the team in scoring (23.4 points) and rebounding (11.1 per game). He has missed Portlands last five games with a low back contusion. ... The Bobcats (34-36) are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings, 1 1/2 games ahead of Atlanta (31-36) and 1 1/2 games behind sixth-place Washington (36-33) with 12 games remaining. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

got to be able to work in the trenches. Ou

ALLEN PARK, Mich. Donnel Pumphrey Eagles Jersey . - The Detroit Lions like to call themselves an indoor team with an outdoor mentality. Now its time to put that mantra to the test.Needing one win to clinch a playoff spot, the Lions will play at Chicago on Sunday against the struggling Bears. Although Detroit is heavily favoured the weekend, the price for a loss could be severe: The regular-season finale the following weekend is at Green Bay, where the Lions have not won since 1991.Detroit plays its home games indoors at Ford Field, but the race for post-season position will come down to two outdoor games against division rivals, in potentially difficult conditions.Weve got to be a physical team and weve got to be able to run the ball, star receiver Calvin Johnson said. When it gets inclement out there, rain, windy, weve got to be able to work in the trenches. Outside, we have to be able to get those blocks to spring our running backs loose.Cold weather has not been kind to the Lions over the last two decades. Detroit has lost 13 straight games with the temperature at 35 degrees or below, a streak that began with a playoff loss at Green Bay in 1994, according to STATS.Detroit has practiced outside this week in chilly Michigan air, and unlike in seasons past, these Lions seem built to play in adverse conditions. Thanks to its bruising defence, Detroit hasnt needed to rely on Johnson and quarterback Matthew Stafford as much. The Lions are particularly tough against the run, so they could be at an advantage if the weather makes passing difficult.Earlier this season, the Lions cooled down their indoor facility during practice, and this week, coach Jim Caldwell wanted his players outside. You always have to deal with wind conditions. Indoors we dont have the wind, Caldwell said. You see from previously, when weve had to play in a cold weather, we usually open the doors and try to get the temperature the same. But, obviously in this particular case, were going to go outside. The ground is not frozen or anything of that nature where we have to worry about the guys having issues with footing and things.Detroit (10-4) has won three in a row, all at home. The teams most recent road game was last month at New England, and the Lions lost 34-9, but the streak of losses at 35 degrees or lower can be attributed in part to Detroits futility in general over the last 20 years. Its not as though the Lions have been great in warm weather either. In those 13 losses in colder temperatures, the Lions have entered with a better record than their opponent only three times, and never was the disparity in Detroits favour as big as it is this weekend. The Lions are five games ahead of Chicago (5-9) in the standings, and the Bears are set to go with Jimmy Clausen at quarterback. Hell make his first start since 2010.Lions defensive co-ordinator Teryl Austin says the team was able to find a decent amount of footage on Clausen, even though he hasnt played much.We have a good film staff, Austin said. Obviously, you can go back quite a few years, so weve been able to look at him and look at some of the things that he does. And obviously, you have some preseason tape and some snaps from this year. This combination — a tough defence against an inexperienced quarterback — means this may be Detroits best chance in quite some time to win a cold-weather game. And this would be quite a time to do it.I like playing outdoors. We like practicing outdoors, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh said. If youre in this league long enough, its good on the joints. Its definitely fun. Were looking forward to Chicago and then going from there.___AP NFL websites: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Derek Barnett Youth Jersey . Gareth Bales early header gave Wales the lead in the Group D World Cup Qualifier but they failed to build on it, conceding a second-half equaliser to Tornike Okriashvili and could easily have lost the game.Coleman told Sky Sports: People will look at it as two points dropped but it might be a point gained at the end of the day, in the second half. We got a great start but youve got to take care of business. We didnt and we were punished, we tried to come again but it was too late, theyd got a bit of confidence by then. Wales Gareth Bale opens the scoring against Georgia Jano Ananidze and Valeri Qazaishvili hit the crossbar for Georgia while Levan Mchedlidze wasted a glorious one-on-one opportunity on the break with 18 minutes remaining. We could have lost it in the second half but you think Georgia at home, youve got to take the three points, said Coleman. The next game now is Serbia here (on November 12). ved into second place in the same group w

LONDON -- Nine-time winner Real Madrid qualified for the Champions Leagues last 16 alongside Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, while Juventus kept alive its chances of reaching the knockout stages. Zane Gonzalez Youth Jersey . Madrid, which only needed a draw at home to Galatasaray to clinch top spot in Group B, won 4-1 with goals from Gareth Bale, Alvaro Arbeloa, Angel Di Maria and Isco. Juventus claimed its first win of the campaign and moved into second place in the same group with a 3-1 victory over Copenhagen as Arturo Vidal scored a hat-trick. The Bianconeri kept their destiny in their own hands and a draw away to Galatasaray on the final matchday will be enough for the Italian champions to advance. United qualified from Group A with an emphatic 5-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen and PSG secured top spot in Group C with a 2-1 win against Olympiakos. "To come to Germany and get a such a good result -- Leverkusen are second in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich -- it gives an idea of where our performance and result stood," United coach David Moyes said. On a night when all the big clubs won, defending champion Bayern Munich set a new Champions League record by winning its 10th successive game in the competition with a 3-1 win at CSKA Moscow. It equaled Barcelonas 2002-03 record with nine in a row three weeks ago. Bayern, the only team left in the tournament with a 100 per cent record, overcame freezing temperatures to come out on top of an entertaining match. Bayern leads Group D with 15 points, three more than Manchester City after the Blues won 4-2 against last-place Viktoria Plzen. Bayern and City, who had already qualified, will be vying for the group supremacy in two weeks in Germany. Despite Cristiano Ronaldos absence and Sergio Ramoss sending off after just 26 minutes, Madrid played superbly in the second half, scoring three goals to add to Bales opener. Ramos was sent off for a foul on Umut Bulut, but Madrid looked unfazed as Bale opened the scoring with an exquisite free kick from 30 metres in the 37th minute. Bulut equalized right away but the Turkish club wilted in the second half at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as Madrid joined fellow Spanish teams Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the round of 16. Chelsea also advanced on Tuesday night despite losing 1-0 against Basel. "The second half was very good. The coach made all the right changes. Many people say that we depend on players like Xabi Alonso or Cristiano Ronaldo but we showed we can win because of the way others play," said Arbeloa. United played its most accomplished match of the season against a poor Leverkusen team to claim its biggest away success since the Champions League format was introduced in 1992-93. Playing without star striker Robin Van Persie and defender Nemanja Vidic, United had been expected to struggle against the German team. Instead, they cruised. "That was a really tough evening for us," Leverkusen midfielder Simon Rolfes said. "The second goal broke down our morale a bit although we actually had a decent start to the game. After the third goal, the game was over." Antonio Valencia put United ahead in the 22nd minute, Emir Spahics own goal in the 30th doubled Uniteds lead and Jonny Evans got the third in the 65th. Chris Smalling steered home the fourth in the 77th and Nani completed the rout in the 88th. United has 11 points before its final match against second-place Shakhtar Donetsk, which beat Real Sociedad 4-0 to move onto eight points. Leverkusen has seven points while Real Sociedad has one point and is eliminated. It was a good evening for the Manchester clubs as Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko scored in the final 12 minutes to earn City a 4-2 victory over Plzen, keeping alive the English teams slim hopes of finishing top of Group D. In Moscow, Arjen Roben fired Bayern in front midway through the first-half before Mario Gotze made it 2-0 with a solo effort early in the second half. Keisuke Honda was a constant threat after the interval and converted a penalty in the 61st minute as CSKA pulled one back. But Thomas Muller also scored from the spot to restore a two-goal lead for Bayern four minutes later. Vidal broke the deadlock for Juventus in the 28th minute from the penalty spot after Lars Jacobsen had handled in the area. Former Juventus defender Olof Mellberg swiftly went from hero to villain for Copenhagen when he equalized in the 56th before giving away a penalty four minutes later by bringing down Fernando Llorente. Vidal again converted and headed home two minutes later to complete his hat trick. At the Parc des Princes, Edinson Cavani scored in the final minute as 10-man PSG beat Olympiakos 2-1 to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League as group winners. With PSG a man down for most of the second half after midfielder Marco Verrattis sending off, Olympiakos looked to have done enough to seal a valuable draw when centre half Kostas Manolas equalized from close range in the 80th minute following a corner. But Cavani ran onto substitute Adrien Rabiots pass and finished with a powerful shot that gave goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez no chance. Verrattis sending off in the 46th handed the visitors a way back into a contest that looked easily within PSGs reach when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in the seventh minute on his 100th appearance in the competition. Jabrill Peppers Jersey . Granlund scored 2:04 into the first period. Max Reinhart, on his first NHL shift of the season, neatly stripped the puck from Zack Smith at the Senators blue-line. As he moved in, his attempted shot deflected into the slot where Granlund buried a shot past Craig Anderson. David Njoku Browns Jersey . -- Orleans Darkwa ran in from 1 yard with 1:45 left, and the Miami Dolphins rallied from two scores down in the final minutes to beat the Dallas Cowboys 25-20 on Saturday night.Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones admitted it will be tough, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to try and re-sign both of his top two offensive playmakers this off-season. According to a report from ESPN, Jones said Thursday he would like to sign impending free agents Dex Bryant and DeMarco Murray, but that locking both up to long-term deals would require some compromise. Its going to be a challenge, Jones said, according to the report. Is it financially reasonable? No. Is it possible? Yes.” Bryant is likely the priority for the Cowboys and Jones said that if he can’t reach a deal with the star receiver, he would use the franchise tag to keep him around for at least one more season. Murray, who led the league in carries with 392 and up until this year was an injury risk, could be a riskier signing. Jabrill Peppers Youth Jersey. Jones could be wary of signing a running back with a lot of miles already on his body. Bryant finished the 2014 season with 88 receptions for 1,320 yards and a career-high 16 touchdown catches. For his career, the 26-year-old former first rounder has 381 receptions for 5,424 yards and 56 touchdowns. In a breakout 2014, Murray led the league with 1,845 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 392 carries. Prior to this year Murray’s season-high in carries was 217, and for his career the 26-year-old has 934 carries for 4,526 yards and 28 touchdowns. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ChinaCheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

The 28-year-old from Calgary matched his career best after missing just one shot in his two rounds of shooting in the mens 10-kilometre sprint competition. Smith finished in 23 minutes 15.1 seconds. "This is a huge relief as this result was pretty last minute," said Smith, who need a top-30 result on Saturday to avoid the domestic trial races in Canmore, Alta., next week. "Today was the best ski time Ive had yet at World Cup level, and a solid nine out of 10 in shooting. "Unfortunately my shooting speed was a lot slower than normal. I really had to slow things down and fight for every shot. Thankfully my skiing made up for this so in the end it was still an excellent result that Im very happy about." It was the second 16th place result for Smith this year. Junior world champion Johannes Thingnes Boe of Norway earned his first career win in the event. The 20-year-old Boe shot clean to finish in 22:06.7 seconds, putting him 32.9 ahead of Ondrej Moravec of Czech Republic, who also shot clean. Frenchman Martin Fourcade had one penalty and finished 37.1 back in third place. Reginas Scott Perass was solid in 31st spot at 23:34.7 (0+1), while Jean-Philippe Le Guellec of Shannon, Que., placed 49th (0+2) with a time of 24:09.8. In womens competition, Rosanna Crawford, of Canmore was the top Canadian finishing 26th (21:52.5) (1+0) in the womens 7.5-kilometre sprint event. Switzerlands Selina Gasparin shot clean to win the womens gold with a time of 20:51.5. Finlands Kaisa Makarainen won the silver medal at 2:59.7 despite missing one shot. Ukraines Valj Semerenko also missed one shot but hung on for the bronze medal with a time of 21:02.9. Megan Imrie of Falcon Lake, Man., place 40th at 22:17.8 (1+1), while Zina Kocher, of Red Deer, Alta., tied for 45th with a time of 22:26.4 (1+2), and Megan Heinicke, of Prince George, B.C., settled for 50th at 22:32.6 (1+2). Eddie Vanderdoes Jersey . The class of 2015, announced a day before the Super Bowl, also includes a pair of contributors, Bill Polian and Ron Wolf, along with senior selection Mick Tingelhoff. Five nominees were eliminated in the final vote: Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene, Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace and Kurt Warner. Earlier Saturday, the selection committee reduced the list of 15 modern-day finalists by cutting Morten Andersen, Terrell Davis, John Lynch and coaches Don Coryell and Jimmy Johnson. A candidate needs 80 per cent of the vote from 46 media members to get in. The induction ceremony is in August at Canton, Ohio. Seau, elected posthumously, was the only first-time eligible candidate to get in this year. He committed suicide at age 43 in 2012, and researchers who studied his brain said it showed signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a disease connected to repeated head injuries, including concussions. His death, less than 2 1/2 years after the end of his playing career, resonated among players in the league, raising worry about the physical and emotional toll the sport takes. Two sons of Seaus represented him on stage with the other seven men elected Saturday when the class was announced during the NFL Honors show. A field-covering, hard-hitting linebacker, the charismatic Seau played in the NFL for 20 seasons, the first 13 with the San Diego Chargers, followed by three with Miami and four with New England. He was Defensive Player of the Year for San Diego in 1992, made six All-Pro teams, and was a member of the leagues All-Decade team of the 1990s. Patriots coach Bill Belichick said this week he loved having Seau on his roster. I cant imagine having a Professional Football Hall of Fame without Junior Seau in it, said Belichick, whose team plays the Seattle Seahawks in Sundays Super Bowl. Id say the one word that comes to me when I think about Junior and football is passion. He was a very passionate guy. A lot of energy. Lot of enthusiasm. Bo Jackson Jersey. . First guy in the building in the morning — watching film, lifting weights, ready for practice, Belichick said. Energy before the game, on the sideline, during the game. An emotional player, but a smart player. Bettis, a finalist for the fifth time, was a burly running back nicknamed The Bus who began a 13-season career by earning Rookie of the Year honours for the Rams. He capped it by winning the 2006 Super Bowl with the Steelers in a game played in his hometown of Detroit. His 13,662 yards rushing rank fifth in history and he had eight seasons of at least 1,000. When Brown retired after the 2004 season, he ranked No. 2 in NFL history with 14,934 yards receiving, No. 3 with 1,094 catches, and No. 3 with 100 touchdown catches. He was the 1987 Heisman Trophy winner at Notre Dame. As a rookie with the Raiders, Brown led the league in kickoff returns, return yards, and average yards per return, and was an All-Pro pick as a kick returner. He earned another All-Pro selection in 1997 at wide receiver. Haley, elected in his 11th year of eligibility, was a defensive end and linebacker for 12 seasons with the 49ers and Cowboys. After entering the league as a fourth-round draft pick in 1986, he wound up as the first player in NFL history to play on five Super Bowl-winning teams. He finished his career with 100 1-2 sacks and twice was an All-Pro, once at linebacker and once at defensive end. Shields was a guard for Kansas City from 1993-2006, never missing a game in his 14 seasons. He was a first-team All-Pro three times, a second-team All-Pro four times, and was a member of the NFLs All-Decade Team of the 2000s. Polian and Wolf were general managers who built Super Bowl champions. Polians Bills and Colts teams reached a total of five Super Bowls, with Indianapolis winning the title in 2007. Wolfs Packers won the 1997 Super Bowl, then lost in the NFL championship game a year later. Veterans committee nominee Tingelhoff retired in 1978 after starting all 240 games of his career as the centre for the Minnesota Vikings. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ortly after going 86-76 last season, their best finish since 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. Taylor Moton Youth Jersey . -- Royals ace James Shields is open to staying in Kansas City beyond this season. That news should make the thousands of fans, already flying high over the teams strong finish a year ago, feel even better as they turned out for their annual FanFest on Friday. The Royals exercised their $13.5 million option on Shieldss contract shortly after going 86-76 last season, their best finish since 1989. The durable right-hander was a big reason behind the success, going 13-9 with a 3.15 ERA in an American League-leading 228.2 innings. Shields told a small group of reporters at Bartle Hall that he was willing to discuss an extension, but he said those talks with general manager Dayton Moore have not taken place. "Id definitely be open-minded to it," Shields said. "A player in my position, where I have one more year left before free agency, I mean, Im definitely open to it. I like Kansas City. I like the organization and I like the direction were going." If Shields went to the open market, its unlikely that the Royals would be a player in the chase. There were reports this off-season that he would seek a contract similar to that of former Royals star Zack Greinke, who signed a $147 million, six-year deal with the Dodgers last season. "Thats absolutely not true at all," Shields said. "I have no clue where he got that from, to be honest with you. Ive had no discussions with Dayton at all. "If Dayton wants to talk about it, Im more than willing to sit and talk about it. But during the season, my main focus is trying to win games and get some wins for this team." Pitchers and catchers are due to report to Surprise, Ariz., for the start of spring training on Feb. 14. The first full-squad workout is Feb. 20. Most of the Royals key pieces return from last season, when they contended into September for the first time in a decade. Their two biggest holes were filled by trading reliever Will Smith to Milwaukee for right field Norichika Aoki and signing Omar Infante to solidify second base. "I didnt think our defence could get any better," Shields said, "but theyre definitely filling some holes that we had. And theyre great additions to our lineup." Then theres the starting rotation, where Ervin Santana has become a free agent. While the right-hander has yet to sign elsewhere, the Royals appeared to move on when they signed left-hander Jason Vargas to a contract early in the off-season. Along with Jeremy Guthrie, the first three spots in the rotation are set. That leaves two up for grabs among a handful of candidates, including starters-turned-relievers Wade Davis and Luke Hochevar, veteran Bruce Chen, left-hander Danny Duffy and flame-thrower Yordano Ventura. "Ive just been working hard, resting my arm," said Ventura, who had a 3.52 ERA in three late-season starts in Kansas City. "Ive just been getting ready because I want to get out there and make the team." That doesnt figure to be an easy task given the glut of competition. "Its a competitive game anyway," Davis said. "Why not do it from within a little bit?" Davis said that he spent the off-season in the weight room, and pronounced himself more ready for this season than any previous year. He also said that hes already been throwing some bullpen sessions, giving him a head start on reporting for spring training. "Im definitely going in to start," said Davis, who began last season in the rotation but was demoted to the bullpen when he proved ineffective. "Hopefully I get that opportunity." Christian McCaffrey Womens Jersey .com) - Theres nothing better for a team than to send out the staff ace in the most important game of the season. Stephen Curry Panthers Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla.BRISBANE, Australia - Tim Cahill set the Asian Cup quarterfinals alight with a spectacular overhead scissor kick and clinched a 2-0 win against China with a header, helping tournament host Australia reach the semifinals in the continental championship. As he has so often done, the 35-year-old Cahill delivered for his country in its time of need, scoring twice in a 20-minute period after halftime. Australia, the 2011 finalists, will face either defending champion Japan or the United Arab Emirates next week for a spot in the final. With the Socceroos dominating the contest, Cahill produced an effort to rival his stunning goal against the Netherlands at last years World Cup in Brazil. He latched on to an Ivan Franjic header in the 48th-minute and then performed an acrobatic, overhead kick, directing the ball past helpless goalkeeper Wang Lei.Man-of-the-match Cahill soaked up the roar from the 46,067-strong crowd as he ran across the pitch to celebrate yet another goal for Australia.Someone asked me whether Id scored one like that before and I said yes, against Chelsea away (playing for Everton in the English Premier League), Cahill said. Its instinct. The World Cup was probably a fluke, like people are saying, and today was probably a fluke again. But its never been about me, its been about the team and the amount of work and effort we put in months ago. When I said I really believed in this team, I meant it.Cahill was about eight yards out in the 65th minute when he powered a header into the net from a perfect cross by Jason Davidson.Cahill was given a rousing cheer when he finally left the field in the 80th minute, replaced by Mark Milligan. The reasonn Timmy does so fantastically well for us is that we manage him really well, Australia coach Ange Postecoglou said. Taylor Moton Panthers Jersey. We rested him against South Korea (Cahill came off the bench) because we knew this game was going to be important. In the penalty box hes still world-class. Hes still every dangerous. But I dont need to add anything to Tim Cahills career — its spelled out clearly for everybody. As I keep telling him, who knows, the best might be ahead of him still.Postecoglou praised the efforts of Cahill, captain Mile Jedinak in his return from an ankle injury and veteran midfielder Mark Bresciano, who was starting for the first time at the 2015 Asian Cup.Bresciano was excellent in dead-ball situations and the midfielders calmness and composure helped the Socceroos settle in a high-pressure knockout match. The Australia-China match was the second quarterfinal of the night. South Korea had a 2-0 win over Uzbekistan in the earlier quarterfinal, with Son Heung-min scoring twice in extra time at Melbourne.China coach, Frenchman Alain Perrin, said of course my players are very disappointed ... it means our Asian Cup journey is finished.A physical China lineup opened quickly, catching Australia off guard on the counter-attack as forward Wu Lei tore through the defence.Wu could have easily scored in the 14th minute if not for a tackle from Alex Wilkinson, who replaced the suspended Matthew Spiranovic in one of seven changes to the Socceroos starting side which went down 1-0 to South Korea in Brisbane last Saturday. There are two quarterfinals Friday, with Japan against the United Arab Emirates and 2007 champion Iraq against Iran. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ROGERS, Ark. Delano Hill Youth Jersey . -- Stacy Lewis made a 7-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday in the NW Arkansas Championship to finally win an official event in her adopted state. The top-ranked Lewis, the Texan who played at the nearby University of Arkansas, earned an unofficial win in the rain-shortened 2007 tournament as an amateur. On Sunday, she closed with a 6-under 65 for a one-stroke victory. Lewis birdied three of her final holes for her third LPGA Tour victory of the year and 11th overall. She finished at 12-under 201 at Pinnacle Country Club. Lydia Ko, Cristie Kerr and Angela Stanford tied for second. Ko finished with a 65, and Kerr and Stanford shot 67. Second-round leader Michelle Wie shot a 73 to tie for eighth at 8 under. Kerr had a chance to match Lewis at 12 under with a 30-foot birdie putt on the 18th. However, her putt came up short. Then, after So Yeon Ryu failed to make an eagle on the final hole, Lewis win was secured. Ryu ended up fifth at 10 under after a 69. Lewis won the Shoprite Classic this month as well as the North Texas Shootout in May. The two-time major winner has long said, though, how much pressure she felt to win in Arkansas -- where she was a four-time All-American in college and is greeted throughout rounds by calls of "Woo Pig Sooie." She was tied for the lead entering the final round last year before finishing in a tie for fourth, but her final birdie spree finally secured her sought-after win Sunday. Wie began the final round with a two-shot lead after back-to-back 5-under 66s, but she missed short birdie putts on the first two holes and struggled to a 1-over front nine -- capped by a three-putt bogey on the ninth. The whirlwind media tour following last weeks win at the U.S. Womens Open appeared to finally catch up after that with Wie, who followed with bogeys on Nos. 10 and 11 to effectively end her contention. She finished with 35 putts after needing 28 the first round and 29 in the second. With Wie coming back to the field, several players climbed up the leaderboard and into contention on the back nine -- with Lewis, Ko, Kerr and Stanford part of a four-way tie atop the leaderboard at one point. Lewis began the tournament 2 over after her first four holes Friday, but she closed by shooting 14 under over her final 68 holes. She took advantage of the opening with Wies stumble and vaulted into the solo lead at 11 under with a birdie on the par-4 16th. Ko and Kerr answered with birdies to climb back to part of a three-way tie at 11 under, but Lewis had the last answer -- a 7-foot left-to-right birdie putt on No. 18 that resulted in a huge ovation from the pro-Arkansas gallery and a fist pump and sigh of relief from Lewis. Lewis putted 25 times Sunday, a day after needing only 24 putts in the second round. Chella Choi briefly was tied for the lead early in the round after a hole-in-one on the 166-yard par-3 sixth hole. She finished with a 69 to tie for sixth at 9 under. Tedric Thompson Youth Jersey . Advancing to the Champions League quarterfinals should be a formality after Lionel Messi scored a penalty and Dani Alves added a late second to secure a commanding 2-0 advantage over City in the round of 16 on Tuesday. Shaquill Griffin Jersey . – Team Canadas Brooke Henderson carded a 4-under 67 at Craigowan Golf and Country Club to jump into the lead at the Canadian Womens Amateur Championship on Wednesday.DALLAS -- Trevor Daley wore a cowboy hat with a Dallas Stars logo and smiled through a swollen lip from a puck he took to the face a couple of nights earlier. Six years of waiting are finally over for the Dallas defenceman. Daley had a goal and an assist, Kari Lehtonen recorded his fifth shutout of the season, and the Stars clinched their first playoff berth since 2008 with a 3-0 victory against the St. Louis Blues on Friday night. "Im having trouble smiling, and I just cant stop smiling right now," said Daley, who took 20 stitches after a loss to Columbus on Wednesday. "Weve been battling hard for a long time. Its just kind of like a little bit of a relief." The Stars missed the post-season a franchise-record five straight seasons after never going more than one without a playoff trip since moving to Dallas in 1993. The longest previous drought was three seasons in Minnesota in the early 1970s. St. Louis, outshot 40-22, dropped its fifth straight game for the first time since February of last year. The playoff-bound Blues also had their hopes of being the top seed in the Western Conference dashed. "They played a very fast game ... very desperate," Blues defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk said. "They played to get into the playoffs and they really showed it, and we need to get more of that into our game, as well." Daley, the only holdover from the team that lost to Detroit in the Western Conference finals six years ago, and Lehtonen were on the ice three years ago for a season-ending loss at Minnesota when Dallas just needed to win to move on. Dallas victory eliminated Phoenix in the race for the Wests final playoff spot and kept the Stars from having to worry about a potential win-or-go-home game at the Coyotes on Sunday. "Im old enough that I dont think about those kinds of things too much," Lehtonen said. "Not too much was needed from me. Our guys outshot them two to one and put the pucks in the net, so that made it a lot easier for me." Daley put Dallas up 1-0 when he stole the puck during a series of St. Louis turnovers and raced ahead of everyone before beating Ryan Miller on the glove side early in the second period. Tyler Seguins team-lleading 37th goal came on the power play 10 seconds after the Blues Dmitrij Jaskin was called for hooking. Malik McDowell Seahawks Jersey. Daley sent a pass to Jamie Benn, who zipped his second assist through the crease to an open Seguin for an easy shot past Miller. After Ryan Garbutt tipped in Alex Goligoskis shot from the point in the third period of the home finale, the last 15 minutes were basically a celebration for the sellout crowd that included a fan with a No. 99 jersey that read "Stanley" -- a reference to the franchises only Stanley Cup title in 1999 when the hockey playoffs were a rite of spring in North Texas. St. Louis didnt get a power play until the third period and couldnt convert on two chances with the man advantage in the final 12 minutes. After the Stars killed the last one, the crowd stood and cheered for the final two minutes, counting down the last few seconds. "I thought the atmosphere was just playoff-like," said Lindy Ruff, the former Buffalo coach brought in by first-year general manager Jim Nill, who got quite a present for his 56th birthday. "The energy, after the third goal went in, its like everybody else took a breath too, We got some breathing room; Order me another beer!" The Blues knew T.J. Oshie would be sidelined after he took a hit to the head that resulted in a four-game suspension for Minnesotas Mike Rupp. They also missed former Stars captain Brenden Morrow, who injured his foot in practice before the Wild game, and Vladimir Sobotka and Derek Roy, who got hurt during that game. St. Louis lost centre Patrik Berglund to an apparent arm injury in the third period against the Stars. NOTES: Taylor Lipsett, a Dallas-area resident who won a 2014 Paralympic gold medal with the U.S. in Sochi, was honoured before the game. ... The Stars signed popular broadcasters Ralph Strangis and Daryl Reaugh to contract extensions. Strangis, the play-by-play voice, has been with the franchise since it was still in Minnesota, and colour analyst Reaugh is in his 18th season with the team. ... Because of the rash of injuries, the Blues recalled Adam Cracknell, Keith Aucoin and Ty Rattie from their Chicago AHL affiliate. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

NFC North title next Sunday at Lambeau Field

TAMPA, Fla. Vince Biegel Jersey . - Nothing Aaron Rodgers does as a quarterback surprises the Packers. The NFLs top-rated passer shrugged off the flu and played most of Sunday with a strained left calf, leading Green Bay to a 20-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — clinching at least a wild-card playoff berth. The win set up a showdown with Detroit for the NFC North title next Sunday at Lambeau Field.Rodgers threw for 318 yards and one touchdown and Eddie Lacy scored on a 44-yard run for the Packers (11-4), who rebounded from a loss to Buffalo that cost them sole possession of first place in the division.Ill be OK for next week. I hurt my calf pretty good, but the training staff helped me kind of get through it, Rodgers said, adding he was injured on Green Bays second offensive possession. It got really tight about halftime. Came in and got a little treatment, it loosened up just a tad, but it was still pretty tight. ... I was able to move in short segments in the pocket, which was all I needed to do today.Lacy finished with 99 yards rushing on 17 attempts. Jordy Nelson caught a 1-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter and had nine receptions for 113 yards, while Rodgers completed 11 throws to Randall Cobb for 131 yards.Ive obviously been with Aaron the whole time. You see him do things on the football field, as far as making plays and this and that. I think the last couple of days, you see the kind of warrior he is, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. He battled whatever illness hes had the last couple of days and then goes out and strains his calf the first or second series. He didnt want to come out. ... Really a gritty performance by Aaron. As for the showdown with the Lions (11-4), McCarthy added:Weve won six out of seven games, so Id like to classify that as playing a lot of solid football, thats for sure, McCarthy said. Well clean this game up tomorrow; well be on it. Well also start on Detroit. I like where were at, and I really like this football team. ... I feel good about the offence, defence and special teams.Rodgers rebounded from the only game this season in which hes failed to throw for a touchdown, completing 31 of 40 passes without an interception. He threw 24 yards to Nelson on third-and-13 to extend the drive that produced Lacys long TD run, and a 19-yard completion to Nelson set up Rodgers 36th TD pass of the year with 2:45 remaining.I battled the flu the past couple of days pretty bad, and thats why I was surprised I hurt my calf because I hydrated like no other (week), Rodgers said. I was drinking a ton of water before the game.Unfortunately, the calf kind of gave up on me there. But it was a good win for us. The defence played great. Offensively, it wasnt pretty, but we had enough points to win.The Bucs (2-13) have lost five straight and remain in contention for the first overall pick in the 2015 draft. Their sputtering offence was held to a season-low 109 net yards; Josh McCown was sacked seven times and intercepted once; and Doug Martin was held to 17 yards rushing on 10 attempts. We picked the worst possible time to play our worst (offensive) game, Tampa Bay coach Lovie Smith said. Wed liked to have fought them a lot harder than we did. I think the guys tried to play hard. Defensively we hung in there and kept them out of the end zone a lot. But its hard to win games when you put up that kind of offensive production ... which was very little. The Bucs kept it close with a solid if not particularly flashy defensive performance. They forced Rodgers fourth turnover in two weeks with Michael Johnsons sack-fumble, and a goal-line stand denied the Packers points in the third quarter after Lacy gained 5 yards on first down to the Bucs 1. Lacy and John Kuhn were stopped for no gain on the next two plays, then Rodgers threw an incompletion in the end zone on fourth down.Nevertheless, the Packers wound up with 431 yards total offence.McCown, meanwhile, was 12 of 26 for 147 yards. Mike Evans had four receptions for 49 yards and Vincent Jackson had three for 60 yards, moving both of them to the brink of 1,000-yard seasons. To see the defence and the way that it played, its frustrating, man, McCown said. You cant do that (the offensive performance). Weve got to be better than that.NOTES: The Bucs began the game with five conseuctive three-and-outs. ... LB Julius Peppers had two of Green Bays seven sacks and forced a fumble. LB Clay Matthews had 2 1-2 sacks. In 17 career games against Tampa Bay, Peppers has 17 1-2 sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and an interception returned for a TD. ... Green Bay improved to 4-0 following a loss this season.__AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Jamaal Williams Youth Jersey . -- Chad Labelle scored the winner 17:36 into the third period to give Medicine Hat a 2-1 victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Sunday and lift the Tigers into the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs. Kevin King Youth Jersey . The 22-year-old slugger, who is no stranger to adversity, made up for it at the end.HOUSTON -- Xavier Sua-Filo had a two-year layoff between his first season of football at UCLA and his final two years, thanks to a Mormon mission. The guard, taken by the Texans with the first pick in the second round on Friday night, believes the time off helped him improve as a player and a person. "Obviously I was away from the game for two years, but I think it helped me be physically more mature and mentally more mature and helped me just become a better football player," he said. "When I came back I was an older guy. I was more suited to be a leader at UCLA. I look at it all positive." Despite a need at quarterback, the Texans went with another position again after selecting defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 1 overall pick on Thursday night. They continued that trend in the third when they took Iowa tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz with the 65th pick. Houston traded the first pick in the fourth round (101st overall) and the first pick in the fifth round (141) to the Eagles to move up and select Notre Dame nose tackle Louis Nix at No. 83. Despite their need at quarterback, the Texans have also drafted defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 1 overall pick and guard Xavier Sua-Filo in the second round and picked up tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz with the 65th overall pick. Nix started eight games in 2013 and finished with 27 tackles and two tackles for losses. Houston general manager Rick Smith said Friday night that he still believes there are some good quarterbacks left in the draft. "Weve done a lot of work on quarterbacks throughout the process because it is a position -- wed like to be able to draft quarterbacks and develop young quarterbacks and thats certainly something that we want to do," Smith said. "But we will always do that with corresponding value. So if theres an opportunity for us to do that (Saturday), we certainly will entertain that." In 2009, Sua-Filo became the first true freshman in UCLA history to start 13 games before leaving for his mission in Alabama and Floriida. Josh Jones Packers Jersey. He picked up right where he left off in 2012 when he started 14 games at left guard for an offence that averaged 466.5 yards a game. He split time between left guard and left tackle last season and won the Morris Trophy as the Pac 12s top offensive lineman. Sua-Filo isnt sure how the Texans will use him, but hes looking forward to showcasing his versatility in Houston. "I can play either," he said. "I just want to get in there and I want to compete and contribute and help the team as best as I can." Fiedorowicz had 30 receptions for 299 yards and six touchdowns last season. Houston re-signed tight end Garrett Graham this off-season, but lost tight end Owen Daniels in free agency. The 6-5, 265-pound Fiedorowicz said he has always looked up to New England tight end Rob Gronkowski and that despite his own skill as a blocker he wants to prove he can be a well-rounded tight end. "I feel like Im going to really prove to everybody that Im a dual-threat," he said. "Im going to catch the ball, Im going to block on the edge and do everything (OBrien) asks." Sua-Filo has fashioned his game after veteran New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins and raved about his skills. "I love the way he plays," Sua-Filo said. "I think hes physical. I think hes nasty. You know, I try to implement as much from his game that I can." The 6-foot-4, 307-pound Sua-Filo, perhaps unsurprisingly, is looking forward to the culinary delights in Houston. "The whole state of Texas is pretty great, but Im looking forward to eating at Pappadeaux and Whataburger," he said of the Houston-based Cajun restaurant and the burger-chain, which started in Corpus Christi, Texas. Nix started eight games in 2013 and finished with 27 tackles and two tackles for losses. He cant wait to join a defensive line with 2012 Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt and Clowney. "I never thought ever in life that would happen," Nix said. "Im super excited." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

The Grand Prixs future in Montreal was secured with the help of substantial governmental investment: $62 million from the federal government, $50 million from Quebec, $62 million from Tourisme Montreal and at least $32 million from the City of Montreal. Montreal mayor Denis Coderre was on hand at the racetrack on Ile Sainte-Helene for the announcement on Saturday morning, alongside ministers of infrastructure and transport from the provincial and federal governments. "This is the place to be this weekend, and this is the place to be for the next 10 years," said Coderre, who worked on the deal for several months with Formula One. "The Canadian Grand Prix is part and parcel of Montreal. It is one of the big international events that builds on Montreals outstanding reputation and ranks it among the worlds great cities." As a condition to the agreements success, the City of Montreal also agreed to renovate the track, including making improvements to the team paddocks, the control tower, and the on-site medical centre, for which it will spend $25 million to $40 million. Coderre promised work would begin this fall and would be completed in time for the 2017 Canadian Grand Prix. "The importance of this showcase to Montreal is beyond measure," said the mayor. "If Montreal wants to present itself as a metropolis, and join the ranks of other great cities around the world, we have to maintain this high level of authority. Its our signature. Its part of our DNA. It is one of the big international events that builds on Montreals outstanding reputation." The deal is big. Montreals Formula One weekend attracts visitors from around the world, and repeatedly rakes in roughly $70 million to $90 million a year. It is broadcast in 150 countries and watched by approximately 300 million viewers worldwide. And its not just great for the City of Montreal, says former-F1 champiion Jacques Villeneuve. Jordan Willis Jersey. . Beyond the dollars and cents, Villeneuve believes the track named after his father is simply one of the most exciting in the world from a racing standpoint. "Its great for the teams and the drivers because its a fun track," he said on Friday in anticipation of the announcement. "Its a good venue. Everybody likes coming here. They come in a few days early. Its party time all week. Theres good energy." Villeneuve ranked Montreal as one of the top-four racing destinations, together with Monaco, Melbourne, and Singapore. "Its one of the few races that look different, where theres action," he said. "If you look at the modern tracks, you could be anywhere. They all look the same. And you fall asleep on your couch. Its one of those few that you need to keep on the calendar to keep Formula One special." Circuit Gilles Villeneuve -- all 4.3 kilometres of it -- is known for its sharp hairpin turn after the pit area, early safety cars, its tight Senna curves, and the kilometre-long straightaway along the Olympic basin that allows for speeds up to 300 kilometres per hour. Red Bulls Sebastian Vettel, who finished third behind Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in Saturdays qualifying session, says Montreal is one of his favourite races of the year. "Its one of the few places in the calendar where the whole city really parties all weekend long and embraces the Grand Prix and really appreciates it," he said. "For us, thats a great feeling, to stand on the grid and have so many fans during the drivers parade and when you race. Seeing the full grandstands makes your job extra special." "Its a great track, the fans are fantastic, so enthusiastic," added Rosberg. "Im very happy and Im sure everybody else is that well be coming here more often in the future." Notes: This year marks the 35th running of the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. The race gets underway Sunday afternoon. a In 2009, Montreal was removed from the F1 season when the provincial government refused to pay more to renew the race. The event returned the following year. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

have won four straight and 10 of their last 12. Phoenix has scored 100-plus points

(SportsNetwork. Cordrea Tankersley Jersey .com) - The Phoenix Suns have pulled into a virtual tie for the seventh seed in the Western Conference with the San Antonio Spurs, but something will have to give when the two squads meet Friday night at the AT&T Center. The Suns have won four straight and 10 of their last 12. Phoenix has scored 100-plus points in 10 consecutive games and its two losses since Dec. 17 came by a combined seven points. The Suns took the first two games of their current four-game road trip, which ends Sunday evening in Memphis. After the tilt with the Grizzlies, the Suns play eight straight at home. Phoenix reached 2-0 on the trek with a 113-111 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. After trailing for much of the game, the Suns staged a late comeback to get the win. Down seven after three quarters, Gerald Green took over the game for the Suns. He scored 13 of their first 15 points of the quarter, and his 8-0 run gave Phoenix its first lead since early in the first period. The Suns made the plays late to secure the win. The Timberwolves had a chance to win the game at the buzzer with an Andrew Wiggins 3-pointer, but his shot was off the mark to extend their losing streak to 13 games. Goran Dragic paced the Suns with 25 points and Green added 21 off the bench in Phoenixs victory. Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas each netted 17 points. They did some good things, Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek said. They all played well. The Spurs had a two-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday when the red-hot Detroit Pistons came to Alamo City and left with a 105-104 victory. Brandon Jennings raced down the court following a San Antonio turnover and made the game-winning shot with 0.1 seconds left. The Spurs left the door open after going 4-of-8 from the foul line over the final 1:52. The Pistons pulled within 104-103 on a pair of Jodie Meeks free throws with eight seconds remaining. Following a 20-second timeout, Tim Duncan threw the ensuing inbound pass behind Patty Mills and Jennings made a bank shot at the other end. Jeff Ayres finished with 16 points for the Spurs. Duncan and Danny Green scored 15 and 13 points, respectively. San Antonio point guard Tony Parker played just 13 minutes in his return from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury. He ended with three points. He is healthy. He wanted to play, but I was being conservative, said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. He had 13 minutes and that is good after resting as long as he did. I wanted to make sure he didnt reinjure it. The Suns bested the Spurs by five in Phoenix on Halloween, however the defending champs are 9-3 in their last 12 versus the Suns. San Antonio has won seven of the last eight meetings as the host. Raekwon McMillan Jersey . The former Edmonton Oilers defenceman was with the St. Louis Blues in training camp on a professional tryout. A person with knowledge of the move confirmed the firing Sunday night on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced it yet. The firing was first reported by Yahoo Sports. A formal announcement was expected Monday. Malone went 39-67 after being hired in June 2013 by new owner Vivek Ranadive. Malone was hired before general manager Pete DAlessandro in what was considered an unusual order of events. Now DAlessandro will get the opportunity to hire his own coach. Lead assistant Tyrone Corbin will take over as interim coach, the person with knowledge of the moves said. Corbin went 112-146 in three-plus seasons as coach of the Utah Jazz and was not offered a contract after last season. The Kings went 28-54 in Malones firstt season and missed the playoffs for an eighth straight year. Charles Harris Jersey. This season got off to a better start with the team winning nine of its first 14 games. But the Kings lost their next game and have fallen into a tailspin after star centre DeMarcus Cousins was sidelined viral meningitis. Sacramento has lost seven of nine games without Cousins and is tied for 10th in the Western Conference with an 11-13 record. The firing is the first major setback in Ranadives tenure. He was welcomed as a saviour when he bought the team from the Maloof family in 2013 and prevented the team from moving to Seattle. The Kings have already broken ground on a $477 million arena that is expected to open downtown for the 2016-17 season. But he has been unable so far to reverse the losing trend that followed a stretch of eight straight playoff berths. Cheap NFL JerseysCheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

see a specialist, who cleared him to play

ASHBURN, Va. Dawuane Smoot Jaguars Jersey . - Colt McCoy received the OK from the doctor Friday to start Sunday against the New York Giants.McCoy has been dealing with a sprained neck this week, but he was a full participant in Fridays practice, getting all of the first-team snaps. He then went to see a specialist, who cleared him to play.Coach Jay Gruden had indicated that the doctors approval would be a mere formality. Gruden said McCoy threw the ball fine with no issues whatsoever at practice.McCoy sprained his neck in the fourth quarter of last weeks 24-0 loss to the St. Louis Rams. He is listed as questionable on the injury report.Robert Griffin III was pegged to start if McCoy wasnt cleared. Gruden said he took into account the total package of work from McCoy, Griffin and Kirk Cousins when making the decision and said McCoys greater body of NFL experience helped make the difference.I think his decision-making right now is probably the best, Gruden said. The Redskins have multiple injury concerns on both sides of the ball. Safety Brandon Meriweather and running back Roy Helu each have a sprained toe and have been ruled out, and linebacker Keenan Robinson (knee) also wont play.Defensive end Jason Hatcher didnt practice Friday and is questionable with a knee injury. Gruden said DeSean Jackson has a 50-50 chance to play after missing last weeks game with a bruised leg.___AP NFL websites: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Leonard Fournette Youth Jersey . Claudio Marchisio headed Italy in front in the ninth minute after a splendid assist from Balotelli but Maxime Chanot levelled five minutes from time. It was Italys seventh successive match without a win, although the six draws and a defeat to Spain have all happened after securing qualification for the World Cup. "This test is absolutely not a failure, we tried to do things we had practiced in training," Italy coach Cesare Prandelli said. "But its clear we have to improve. But we had to try certain things as we have very few matches. "We know that we werent brilliant, but we leave with the knowledge that we can have a great World Cup." Prandelli had said Balotelli would amaze with his improved form and the AC Milan forward was involved in most of the Azzurris best moves. He went close to scoring on several occasions and hit the crossbar as Italy dominated. Italy departs on Thursday and will play Brazilian club Fluminense in a final friendly match on June 8, six days before kicking off its World Cup campaign against England in Manaus. Prandellis side also faces Costa Rica and Uruguay in Group D. Italy started brightly and toook an early lead when Marchisio picked out Balotelli from near the halfway line. Dede Westbrook Jaguars Jersey. . The forward controlled the ball perfectly before crossing for the onrushing Marchisio to head home from close range. Balotelli almost doubled Italys advantage shortly afterward but a last-ditch tackle saw his effort deflected over the bar. The tempo slowed down somewhat but Italy should have extended its lead two minutes before halftime, when free-kick specialist Andrea Pirlo saw his effort parried with a diving save by Anthony Moris and Balotelli fired just wide of the left upright as the moved continued. Moments earlier, Antonio Candreva had also fired narrowly wide. Balotelli had another chance just after the interval when he sent a snapshot past the far post. Antonio Cassano came off the bench for only his second appearance since the European Championship final in 2012 and he almost made an immediate impact with a through ball to Balotelli, who bamboozled two players before evading a tackle from a third as he unleashed a shot which crashed off the crossbar. Candreva also hit the crossbar moments later. Luxembourg had barely troubled Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon but levelled in the final minutes when Chanot headed home Mario Mutschs corner. Ignazio Abate almost immediately restored Italys advantage but was denied by Moris. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

i Nabokov made 26 saves and Michael Grabner had two goals

NEWARK, N. Michael Roberts Youth Jersey .J. -- Theres a little more to the New York Islanders than John Tavares. In a season opener where the Islanders star didnt do much, his teammates picked him up. Linemate Matt Moulson scored the only goal of the shootout in the sixth round, Evgeni Nabokov made 26 saves and Michael Grabner had two goals and an assist in the Islanders season-opening 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night. "We had some mistakes, but we had some really good stuff in there," Grabner said after the Islanders won a season opener for the first time since 2007. "Its the first game and we got the win. Now we have to go back to work tomorrow." Nabokov stopped all six shootout attempts and Martin Brodeur was just as good until Moulson beat him under the crossbar. Moulson quipped that he told coach Jack Capuano that he should have shot earlier in the shootout. "The puck kind of hopped up and luckily I chipped it up," Moulson said. Brodeur, whose father, Denis, died last week, had 23 saves in his first game of the season. Cory Schneider was in goal in the Devils 3-0 loss in Pittsburgh on Thursday. "He waited me out, so I got deep a bit, and he got it up quick," Brodeur said of Moulson, whose linemates Tavares and Kyle Okposo failed to register a point. Grabner, who was stopped on two breakaways in the game, didnt take a shot in the shootout. He deadpanned that his turn would have been after Nabokov. "Honest Im not too mad about it, we have some good skill guys out there," Grabner said. Frans Nielsen had the Islanders other goal. Recently signed free agent Damien Brunner scored twice for the Devils, while fellow newcomer Michael Ryder had the other. Josh Bailey almost won the shootout in the fourth round, but his shot hit off the post. Brunner tied the game at 3-all at 7:34 of the third period with his second goal of the game. It came shortly after a Devils power play expired. Defenceman Anton Volchenkov came off the bench and shot the puck toward the net. It deflected to Brunner and he slid it into an open net. The Islanders took their first lead of the game early in the third period when Nielsen worked a give and go with Grabner and lifted a backhand between Brodeurs pads as the goaltender tried to poke check the puck off his stick. Both teams had scoring chances after Brunner tied the game at 3-all. Kyle Okposo of the Islanders hit the post about a minute after Brunners second goal and Brodeur came up with close-in stops on Grabner and Pierre-Marc Bouchard on breakaways. Nabokov stopped a short-handed shot by Stephen Gionta and a close-in attempt by Steve Bernier. The Devils twice took the lead in their home opener and Grabner responded for the Islanders each time. Grabners second of the game came on a shot from the right circle that beat Brodeur on the short side at 13:43 of the middle period. Bailey had forced a turnover at centre ice and made a pass that sent the speedy right wing into the Devils zone. "It was great plays by my linemates finding me," Grabner said. "I was trying to get to open ice and they made some great plays where I could use my speed and capitalize on my chances." Ryder, who is wearing the No. 17 jersey that Ilya Kovalchuk had before returning to Russia after last season, rekindled memories of the Russian superstar by snapping a shot past Nabokov a little less than five minutes into the second period. It was his first goal with the Devils. Brunner, who had a team-high eight shots in Pittsburgh, gave the Devils the lead 2:59 after the opening faceoff. Nabokov couldnt control a shot by Dainius Zubrus from the slot and Brunner tapped the loose puck into an open net for his first goal as a Devil. Grabner, who was stopped on an early breakaway by Brodeur before the Brunner goal, didnt miss his second one-on-one. He took a pass from defenceman Travis Hamonic in stride and slid the puck under Brodeur to tie the game at 8:07. NOTES: Josh Harris and David Blitzer, who head the group that bought the Devils this summer, dropped pucks at the ceremonial opening faceoff. ...This was the first of five regular-season games between teams. Islanders won last years season series 3-2. ...Brock Nelson, the Islanders first-round draft pick in 2010, made his NHL regular-season debut. He appeared in a playoff game last year. ... denying Messi the one title he needs to forever take his

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Mario Goetze produced the piece of individual skill that Lionel Messi couldnt muster. Dalvin Cook Vikings Jersey . With two quick, deft touches, Goetze ended Germanys 24-year wait for another World Cup title with an extra-time winner against Argentina on Sunday -- denying Messi the one title he needs to forever take his place among the games all-time greats. It was the moment of brilliance that ensured Germanys 1-0 victory in a tight and tense final. Goetze, who wasnt born when West Germany beat Argentina in the 1990 final, controlled a cross with his chest in the 113th minute and in one fluid motion volleyed the ball past goalkeeper Sergio Romero and inside the far post from five yards out. It delivered Germany its fourth World Cup title, equal second with Italy on the list of all-time champions and just behind Brazils five. "Its an unbelievable feeling. I dont know how to describe it. You just shoot that goal in, you dont really know whats happening," Goetze said. "And then at the end of the match, having a party with the team, the whole country ... it is for us, a dream come true." At the final whistle, Germany players fell into a pile in a mid-pitch celebration. Messi walked past them with his hands on his hips -- still in the shadow of his compatriot Diego Maradona, who led his country to the 1986 title. The 22-year-old Goetze went on as a substitute for Miroslav Klose near the end of regulation time and his fresh legs made the difference. Andre Schuerrle broke down the left flank, sending his cross into the area, and the Bayern Munich midfielder did the rest with a clinical finish. The goal echoed that of Andres Iniesta four years ago, when the midfielder scored in similar fashion but from the other side of the area to give Spain a 1-0 extra-time win over the Netherlands. It went entirely to script, according to Germany coach Joachim Loew. "I said to Mario Goetze, OK, show to the world that youre better than Messi and you can decide the World Cup. You have all the possibilities to do that," Loew said. "I had a good feeling with him." Germany became the first European team to win a World Cup in the Americas, and the victory ends a string of near misses since winning its last major title at the 1996 European Championship. The team lost the 2002 World Cup final to Brazil, the Euro 2008 final to Spain and was eliminated in the semifinals in both 2006 and 2010. Argentina had not been back in the final since that 1990 loss, and has now been beaten by Germany in the last three World Cups. "This was our chance, and we felt that way. We couldnt do it. We have to lift our heads and suffer the pain," Argentina midfielder Javier Mascherano said. "Obviously, the pain is tremendous." It is Germanys first World Cup title as a unified nation, having won as West Germany in 1954, 1974 and 1990. The Germans faced Argentina in both the 1986 and 1990 finals, during Maradonas heyday. This time, they were up against Messi, the four-time world player of the year who has set a slew of scoring records in leading Barcelona to every major club title and is widely considered the best player since Maradona. But in the biggest game of his career, Messi came up short. He had one good chance to score when he was sent free in the area just after the halftime break, but sent his shot wide. It was a difficult angle, but still the type of chance he so often converts for Barcelona. Messi threatened intermittently throughout the match, but was effectively smothered by the German defence. His free kick in the 120th minute went well high. Messi, who scored four goals in the group stage but none in the knockout rounds, then had to trudge alone up the stairs of the Maracana Stadium to accept the Golden Ball award for the tournaments best player, shaking hands with German Chancellor Angela Merkel along the way. "At this moment I dont care about this prize -- only lifting the trophy matters," Messi said. "Im hurt for losing the way we did. ... I think we deserved a little better, we had chances. As well as they controlled the ball, we still had the clearest chances." After Messi received his award, the German team made its way up the stairs for captain Philipp Lahm to raise the hallowed 18-carat gold trophy. Until Goetzes winning goal, the game was more notable for top-class defending than creative attacking, but both teams had their share of chances. Gonzalo Higuain fired wide when gifted a chance in a one-on-one with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, and later had a goal ruled out for offside. Germany defender Benedikt Hoewedes hit the post just before halftime with a header. Germany had entered the game as the favourite after its 7-1 semifinal drubbing of Brazil. But Argentina proved to be an entirely different proposition. "Im very proud of the team. They played a great game against a great team," Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella said. "I salute the players, they made the country proud." After Germanys last win in 1990, then-coach Franz Beckenbauer predicted that a unified Germany would be "unbeatable" in the future. It took 24 years to prove him right but with young players like Goetze, the next wait may not be as long. "We, I think, deserve this trophy," Goetze said. ------ Lineups: Germany: Manuel Neuer; Philipp Lahm, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng, Benedikt Hoewedes; Christoph Kramer (Andre Schuerrle, 31), Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil (Per Mertesacker, 120), Thomas Mueller; Miroslav Klose (Mario Goetze, 88). Argentina: Sergio Romero; Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Demichelis, Ezequiel Garay, Marcos Rojo; Lucas Biglia, Javier Mascherano, Enzo Perez (Fernando Gago, 86); Ezequiel Lavezzi (Sergio Aguero, 46), Gonzalo Higuain (Rodrigo Palacio, 78), Lionel Messi. Dalvin Cook Womens Jersey . Canada coach Doug Shedden said

DAVOS, Switzerland -- If Canada wants to repeat as Spengler Cup champion, its going to happen the hard way. Kevin King Womens Jersey . Andres Ambuhl scored the winning goal late in the third period as host HC Davos beat Canada 3-2 Saturday. Canada falls to 1-1 and must now play the Rochester Americans in a quarter-final on Sunday. If they win that, theyll play a semifinal Monday night for a chance to advance to Tuesdays final, which takes place at noon local time. "It looks like Mount Everest, but you just take it a game at a time and inch your way forward," Canada coach Doug Shedden said. Marcus Paulsson and Peter Guggisberg also scored for Davos, while Mika Noronen made 24 saves. Darren Haydar and Byron Ritchie had Canadas goals. Allen York stopped 20 of 23 shots. It looked like it was going to be a relatively easy win for Davos when Ambuhls goal gave the hosts a 3-1 lead with less than three minutes to go in regulation. But Canada kept up the pressure, and Ritchie made it a one-goal game with less than two minutes to go. Canada pressed for the tying goal but was unable to beat Noronen. Ritchie had a chance at the tying goal with just over a minute left, but he was unable to contain the puck with an open net to shoot at. "Davos is a speedy team. Theyve got all kinds of skill level," Shedden said. "Youre not going to beat them in their rink unless you play 60 minutes and we were a little disappointed in our first half of the game. "We were playing the neutral zone game a bit too much maybe because they are so fast and we were trying to respect their speed, then in the third period we said lets go for it and put the pressure on them and it seemed to pay dividends for us. But a little bit too late." After a scoreless period, Davos used their speed to assert themselves with two goals in the second. Paulsson opened the scoring at 7:19 of the second period, then Guggisberg put Davos up 2-0 at 11:43. Canada made a game of it, with Haydar narrowing the lead to 2-1 4:45 into the third. But after Ambuhl restored Davoss two-goal lead at 17:01, Canada was unable to bridge the gap. Shedden expects a different challenge Sunday from the Americans, who are the Buffalo Sabres American Hockey League affiliate. "Its going to be a more North American style of game," Shedden said. "Youre going to see a lot more of a physical game tomorrow night. Obviously we have a much older team and theyre young up-and-coming stars in the NHL. "The bottom line is weve got to find a way to win." Jamaal Williams Packers Jersey .1 Sam Stosur will meet Germanys second-ranked player Andrea Petkovic in the opening match of the Fed Cup World Group semifinal. Vince Biegel Youth Jersey .J. -- All those records, all for naught.LEDYARD, Conn. - Ronaldo Jacare Souza remained perfect in his UFC run and may soon find himself competing for the companys middleweight title. Souza (21-3), the Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist was absolutely dominant in his UFC Fight Night: Jacare vs. Mousasi headliner with Gegard Mouasi (35-5-2), looking crisp on the feet and brilliant on the floor en route to scoring a third-round submission win on Friday night. Fellow top contender Mousasi showed incredible defence on the mat, turning aside submission attempt after submission attempt from the grappling ace. But Souza simply wouldnt be denied, repeatedly taking the fight to the floor and looking for options. The moment he needed came late in the third round. In the final minute of the frame, Mouasi worked to a seated position in hopes of getting back to his feet. Souza seized the moment, latching on to a guillotine choke and sitting back to squeeze the hold, earning the tap from his opponent with 30 seconds left in the third round. Afterward, Souza staked his claim to the No. 1 contender spot in the UFCs 185-pound division. If anyone doubts that, theyre completely wrong, Souza said. Lyoto (Machida) fought this guy for five rounds. I finished him before the fight ended, so if anyone doubts that, theyre completely wrong. Im next for the title. In the nights co-feature, perennial underdog Ben Rothwell (34-9) scored one of the biggest victories of his career, earning a first-round TKO win over Alistair Overeem (37-14). Rothwell was unintimidated by former Strikeforce, DREAM and K-1 champion Overeem, happily standing at kickboxing range and looking to trade. The risky strategy paid dividends, as both men simultaneously threw punches, but Rothwell scored with a right hand to the temple. Overeem crashed to the canvas, and Rothwell followed with additioonal punches to force a stop to the bout at the 2:19 mark of the opening round. Kevin King Youth Jersey. . I know the odds were against me, and everyone went against me because people dont really know what Im about, Rothwell said. Thats my fault. My last three wins should prove that Im legit. In another heavyweight matchup, Matt Mitrione (8-3) needed just 41 seconds to dispatch of the man that called him out, Derrick Lewis (11-3). Lewis, who asked for the Mitrione matchup following back-to-back TKO wins to start his career, looked to land his signature power blows, but it was his opponent who struck first. As they clashed in the centre, a short right hand scored flush for Mitrione, and Lewis crumpled to the floor. Mitrione swarmed with additional strikes, ending the fight in the opening minute. Afterward, Mitrione admitted his opponents actions served as motivation. He called me out, so that really upset me, Mitrione said. Thats not really my flavour. I expected to finish him that quickly. In the nights first main-card matchup, Joe Lauzon (24-9) and Michael Chiesa (11-2) seemed destined to turn in an instant classic, but a nasty gash over Chiesas right eye ended the fight prematurely in the second frame. The fiery lightweights both pushed forward from the start, engaging in entertaining exchanges both on the feet and the floor. Lauzon seemed to be getting the better of the early action, but Chiesa also appeared primed to push the action well into the later stages of the fight. He wouldnt get the chance. A Lauzon knee opened a deep cut over Chiesas right eye, and doctors waved off the fight at the 2:14 mark of the second round. I think he edged me out in the first round, and he finished pretty strong, Lauzon admitted. I came out strong in the second and cut him above his eye and that was it. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
