nce home winning streak to 48 games in the Carrier

SYRACUSE, N. Stefan Savic Jersey .Y. -- Trevor Cooney and C.J. Fair each scored 17 points and No. 4 Syracuse hit Binghamton with a long-range barrage in a 93-65 victory on Saturday night. Syracuse (9-0), which beat Indiana 69-52 on Tuesday night, upped its nonconference home winning streak to 48 games in the Carrier Dome and figures to move up to No. 2 next week after top-ranked Michigan State and No. 3 Kentucky lost this week. With a starting lineup of one sophomore and four freshmen, Binghamton (2-7) figured to struggle against the bigger, more athletic Orange, and the Bearcats did after a solid start. Jerami Grant had 14 points for Syracuse, Dajuan Coleman had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and freshman Ron Patterson added a season-high 10 points, hitting two of the Oranges 13 3-pointers, two off the school record. Freshman point guard Tyler Ennis had his first off-game of the season, picking up four fouls and finishing with three points and three assists in 19 minutes. Sophomore Jordan Reed, who leads Binghamton in nearly every statistical category, led the Bearcats with a season-high 26 points and seven rebounds. Marlon Beck II had 14 points and Nick Madray 11. Syracuse was torched three times from long range in the first 4 minutes. Beck started the surge with a 3 from the right wing and Madray followed with two more, the second giving the Bearcats an 11-3 lead as Ennis picked up two quick fouls and went to the bench. The Bearcats had snapped a four-game losing streak with a 74-70 victory at Mount St. Marys on Wednesday night, thanks to 68 per cent shooting, but they nearly blew a 19-point lead by committing 23 turnovers against a pressing defence. The Orange used the same strategy to rally and it worked like a charm. Syracuse reeled off 18 straight points, the first 10 coming in 76 seconds thanks in part to three steals. Michael Gbinije started the surge with a 3, Cooney added two more, and Grant finished it with a resounding two-handed slam dunk to give the Orange an 21-11 lead at 12:46. Binghamton notched just four baskets in the final 10:51 of the first half as the Orange steadily pulled away. Syracuse hit nine 3-pointers, nabbed eight steals, scored 22 points off Binghamtons 11 turnovers, and out-rebounded the Bearcats 24-15, 12-5 on the offensive glass, to take a 54-30 halftime lead. Syracuse finished 13 of 36 from long range, forced 18 turnovers and notched 12 steals. Binghamton finished 6 of 22 from beyond the arc after its hot start. Three of Syracuses freshmen -- Patterson, B.J. Johnson, and Tyler Roberson -- hadnt played in five games, since the Oranges 69-50 win over Colgate on Nov. 16. That changed after Ennis picked up his second foul less than 4 minutes into the game. Patterson played 15 minutes, one more than Johnson and Roberson, who had six points. Johnson was 0 for 5, all on 3-pointers. Syracuse led by 33 midway through the second half after 3-pointers by Patterson and Gbinije and a putback by Coleman. The Oranges biggest lead was 37 in the closing minutes. Sime Vrsaljko Jersey . It was a move of some time in the making. “He hasnt thrown well, clearly some guys are being used more than him right now and the only way to get out of this funk is to pitch,” said general manager Alex Anthopoulos. Angel Correa Jersey .Y. - Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby captured his second career Art Ross trophy on Sunday after leading the NHL in scoring this season.WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed Canadian offensive lineman Chris Kowalczuk and Canadian defensive lineman Ryan Lucas on Monday. Kowalczuk has spent four seasons with the Bombers. He spent most of 2013 on the reserve list but playedd in four games. Fernando Torres Jersey. Lucas is entering his sixth CFL season and third with the Bombers. He played in three games in 2013 and had two tackles before he was injured July 26 against Calgary and missed the remainder of the season.Wholesale Jerseys 2020 Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping China Jerseys Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Stitched Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Authentic Jerseys ' ' '

at has also had to cope with the death of shortstop Je

MILWAUKEE -- The end of a seven-game losing streak lifted the spirits of the Milwaukee Brewers. Adrian Clayborn Jersey . An 11-2 win Sunday over the St. Louis Cardinals gave manager Ron Roenickes team a one-game lead in the NL Central at the All-Star break. A team that has also had to cope with the death of shortstop Jean Seguras 9-month-old son now gets a breather for a few days. With Segura home on bereavement leave, Elian Herrera had a career-best five hits a day after being called up from the minors to take Seguras roster spot. The offence tied a season high with 19 hits to back a strong seven-inning outing by starter Wily Peralta. "Somebody had to step up. ... Thats huge for us, for everybody. It lets us go into the break like that and still in first place," said Peralta (10-6), who allowed three hits and struck out five before departing after seven innings because of a minor leg cramp. Like Segura, Peralta is from the Dominican Republic. The pitcher was heading home for the break, and he was planning to text Roenicke to let him know how Segura was doing. The morning started with the Brewers organization holding its annual Family Day outing, when players and coaches can bring their children to the ballpark. Players were smiling alongside their sons and daughters on a sunny afternoon, and Roenicke hoped the day would create a diversion from the teams roughest patch of the season. All-Star catcher Jonathan Lucroy said he thought the family time possibly helped the squad. "But it doesnt matter if youre winning or losing whenever youre with your family," Lucroy said. "It is a business and it is a job we have to perform, but ultimately the goal is to provide for our family, and family is most important." Peralta allowed just three singles and gave up his only run after Kolten Wong reached first on a passed ball despite striking out. Wong eventually scored on Matt Adams groundout. Peralta got a defensive boost with a runner on base in the fifth when left fielder Khris Davis made an over-the-shoulder catch on Jon Jays fly to the warning track with a man on first. "I had to step in like an extra gear ... just kind of a lucky play," Davis said. "A big play with the runner on first, hes probably going to score." Davis hit his team-high 15th homer in the bottom of the fifth for a 5-1 lead. For the Cardinals, a frustrated Carlos Martinez (2-4) allowed four runs in four innings. Making his seventh career start, Martinez gave up three walks and a balk while also hitting Carlos Gomez with a pitch in the fourth. Gomez then scored on Scooter Gennetts two-out, two-run double down the left-field line for a 4-1 lead. Martinez flicked his head back in frustration as he watched the ball take a tricky carom off the side wall on outfielder Matt Holliday. An inning earlier, Martinez tossed his bat behind his back in the direction of home plate after grounding out, leading umpire Jeff Nelson to raise his arms and stare at the 22-year-old pitcher for a few seconds. "I tried to throw the bat to the ground. I dont know if it was emotion," Martinez said through an interpreter. "I went to the umpire and said I was sorry. It was just frustration." Manager Mike Matheny said Martinez was having a tough time "finding anything." "Hes trying to harness his emotions a little bit, which will harness his control," Matheny said. "It was a rough day for him. Its one of those learning points." Milwaukee added three runs off the Cardinals bullpen to stretch the lead to 8-1 in a sixth-inning burst started by Herreras double. The Brewers are in first place at the All-Star break for just the fourth time in franchise history. NOTES: Matheny said ace Adam Wainwright could pitch in Tuesdays All-Star game despite going seven innings in Saturdays win over Milwaukee. Tuesday would be scheduled to throw in between starts. Matheny will manage the National League. ... Gennett tied a career high with three hits. ... Matheny said he wasnt sure yet how he would set up the Cardinals rotation after the All-Star break. St. Louis hosts the Dodgers on Friday. ... Milwaukee doesnt plan to make any changes in its rotation, meaning Kyle Lohse (9-4) would get the start Friday in Washington. Robert Alford Jersey . - Their offence is underperforming. Jake Matthews Jersey . Not only that, when Julian de Guzman first stepped on the pitch for Deportivo de la Coruna he became the very first Canadian to play in Spains top tier.ARLINGTON, Texas - Kendrys Morales slapped a line drive away from the Texas shift, landing it just inside the foul line in left field where the only person close to it was a security guard scrambling to get out of the way. A deft leap from the guard kept the ball in play and sent the Twins on their way to ending a 10-game road losing streak. Morales tiebreaking double in the top of the ninth off Texas closer Joakim Soria brought in pinch-runner Sam Fuld from first base in a 3-2 Minnesota victory Sunday. After the security guard dodged the ball with his right foot, the carom off a brick wall just missed his left foot as the ball rolled into shallow left field, a long way from Texas Michael Choice. A ground-rule double would have forced Fuld to stop at third instead of scoring easily, and Soria (1-3) struck out the final two hitters of the inning. "We got a couple of breaks, and we won the ballgame," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. Kyle Gibson (7-6) matched a career high by going eight innings and scattering eight hits. Glen Perkins struck out the side in the ninth for his 20th save in 23 chances. Robinson Chirinos had three hits for Texas, including his seventh homer of the season in the fifth inning for a 2-2 tie. Josh Willinghams second hit got the winning rally started with one out in the ninth before he was replaced by Fuld. The Twins had lost the first five games on a six-game road trip after winning four straight on a brief homestand. "It was a big game for us after a tough road trip," said Gibson, who had a 22-inning scoreless streak snapped when he allowed seven runs in just two innings to start the trip at the Los Angeles Angels. "All I did was try to give my team a chance to win and turn things around." Jorge Polanco, making his first major league start for Minnesota, had a tying double on a check-swing roller over the bag at third base in the third inning. The 20-year-old shortstop scored for a 2-1 lead on a single by Joe Mauer, who extended his hiitting streak to a season-high 10 games. Deion Jones Jersey. "They did what they had to do to win the game," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "We didnt. Even if it was check swings and all that stuff, thats baseball. You cant control what happens sometimes." Polanco also had a strong day defensively, helping turn three double plays and taking a hit way from Elvis Andrus on a one-hop smash to his left in the eighth inning. "The kid played great at shortstop," Gardenhire said. "He has good at-bats. Hes got things to learn, but hes doing just fine." The Rangers had runners at first and third with nobody out in the second and again with one out in the seventh but didnt score either time. Choice struck out ahead of Rougned Odors double-play grounder in the second, and Choice grounded into a double play to end the seventh. Texas right-hander Colby Lewis ended a streak of 13 straight starts without a quality start of at least six innings and three earned runs or fewer, which was tied for the major league record with Seattles Steve Trout from 1988. He gave up two runs in six innings and struck out eight. Lewis left in a 2-2 tie, remaining winless in seven career starts against the Twins. It was the second rough outing of the three-game series for Soria. He gave up four runs in the ninth inning of Texas 5-4 victory on Friday. The injury-riddled Rangers (37-44) hit the halfway mark of the season with their fewest wins since 2007 and are 14 games behind Oakland in the AL West. "Were just in a situation right now where weve got guys hurt and were going to go out there and compete," Lewis said. "Thats all Wash asks us to do." NOTES: Chris Parmelees single in the sixth inning gave him a career-best nine-game hitting streak. ... The Rangers won a home series for the first time since mid-April. They had gone winless in 10 straight series at home. ... Polanco is the first Minnesota player to start his career with two extra-base hits since Rich Becker in 1993. NFL Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys 2019 Jerseys NFL Cheap NFL Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys From China NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

h victory in the last seven meetings -

LOS ANGELES -- Blake Griffin had 20 points and 11 rebounds during three thunderous quarters by the Los Angeles Clippers, who routed the Lakers again 142-94 Thursday night to extend their winning streak to a season-best six games. Indiana Pacers Jerseys . It was the most lopsided loss in Lakers history. Darren Collison had a team-high 24 points while starting at shooting guard for the injured Jamal Crawford. Chris Paul added 13 points and 11 assists for the Clippers, who apparently are trying to make up for decades of humiliation at the hands of the Lakers all in one season; theyve won the last two meetings by a combined 84 points. This was the Clippers largest victory margin over their longtime tormentors, and their sixth victory in the last seven meetings -- including a four-game sweep last season. The last time the teams met on Jan. 10, the Clips won 123-87. The Clippers are 35-98 against the Lakers since moving to Los Angeles from San Diego for the 1984-85 season, including 19-39 during their 15 seasons at Staples Center. Pau Gasol had 21 points for the Lakers, the home team for the third of four meetings this season between the Staples Center co-tenants. They also faced each other in the season opener, which the Lakers won 116-103. The Clippers had a 64-33 rebounding advantage and increased their lead in the Pacific Division to 4 1-2 games over Golden State. Theyre 21 1-2 ahead of the last-place Lakers (21-41). The Lakers are one defeat away from clinching the franchises first losing season since 2004-05 -- when newly hired coach Rudy Tomjanovich resigned midway through the teams 34-48 season. This one reached blowout proportions early. The Clippers stormed to a 73-40 halftime lead with the help of a 21-1. The arena started emptying after the third quarter ended 109-60. Griffin notched his 36th double-double and is riding a career-best streak of 21 games with 20 or more points. Crawford (left calf strain) sat out for the third straight game. Forward Jared Dudley (back spasms) missed his first of the season. Jordan Hill didnt play for the Lakers because of a sore right knee. to ESPNs Chad Ford, the Heat are aggressivel

The Miami Heat are reportedly highly interested in University of Connecticut point guard Shabazz Napier and are willing to move up in Thursdays NBA Draft to get him. Kevin White Jersey . According to ESPNs Chad Ford, the Heat are aggressively pursuing options to acquire a higher pick in order to draft Napier who is widely regarded as one top point guards in this years draft. Miami owns the 26th overall pick and Ford says its unlikely Napier will fall that far with the Orlando Magic (No. 12), Atlanta Hawks (No. 15), Chicago Bulls (No. 16) and the Boston Celtics (No. 17) showing interest. LeBron James, who will become a free-agent on July 1 after opting out of his contract on Tuesday, has shown interest in Napier as well. He tweeted, "no way u take a PG in the lottery before Napier," during the NCAA title game between UConn and Kentucky in April. Acquiring Napier might help convince James to stay in South Beach. Walter Payton Jersey . Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone dismissed Tuesdays massive anti-government protest in Manama as "a lot of kids having a go at the police." "I love the game, its the best job you can have," he explained Tuesday as the players left Joe Louis Arena for the summer. "Ill sit down with my wife and well go from there. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams had a few cautionary words of advice for Marcell Dareus, in welcoming his teammate back to practice Tuesday. Its time, Williams said, Dareus realized he has put his young and promising career in jeopardy after being charged in two separate arrests last month involving drug possession and a car accident. "Im hoping that this is kind of a watershed moment for him, because hes at a pivotal point," Williams said after Dareus reported for the start of the Bills three-day mandatory minicamp. "Hopefully, its to a point where its kind of an epiphany, and he comes alive and turns the corner and does his best." Williams, a team captain, is taking a tough-love approach with Dareus, a player hes spent the past three years mentoring. "I think hes heard (advice) from a lot of different levels, whether it be from his teammates or coaches, and Im sure the front office," Williams said. "So if you cant get it from those three levels, maybe youre not going to get it." Dareus, the Bills 2011 first-round draft pick, returned to practice for the first time since he and coach Doug Marrone agreed that the player take two weeks off to sort out his legal problems. Its unclear what Dareus has been doing during his time away. The Bills announced before practice that Dareus will not be made available to reporters this week so that he can focus solely on football. Dareus was escorted off the field by a team official following practice. Hes been off since May 30. Thats when shortly after participating in a voluntary practice, Dareus crashed his 2012 Jaguar into a tree near a busy suburban Buffalo intersection after allegedly racing teammate Jerry Hughes. Dareus was charged with reckless endangerment and ticketed for several traffic violations, including drag-racing. Dareus was scheduled to appear at Hamburg Town court on Tuesday, but that was pushed back to July 1 in part so that he didnt miss practice. Four weeks earlier, Dareus was arrested in his native Alabama and charged with possession of synthetic marijuana aand drug paraphernalia. Sam Acho Jersey. Rod Giddens, the attorney representing Dareus in Alabama, said hes still awaiting word from prosecutors as to whether theyll accept a plea deal in which Dareus entered a pre-trial intervention program to have the charges reduced or dismissed. Dareus troubles actually come from the end of last season when he was benched during each of the Bills final two games because he was late for team meetings. General manager Doug Whaley intends to meet with Dareus following the Bills final practice on Thursday, when the team takes a month before opening training camp July 20. "Ill just have a little sit-down with him when we leave, so everybodys on the same page," Whaley told The Associated Press. "The thing right now is hes back focused straight on football. Its great that hes back. And I think he thrives in a situation like this where its all football." On the field, Dareus returned to his familiar starting spot alongside Williams. In one team drill during the non-contact practice, Dareus showed off his power and speed by bullying past guard Kraig Urbik to break up a potential pass. On the next play, Dareus spun off Urbiks block and filled the hole to stop a run. Coach Marrone has stuck by Dareus, while expressing disappointment in saying the player has made "some poor decisions." "I just want to make sure that Im clear that everyone understands that I believe in Marcell, and I will do everything I can to make sure that we can get him on the right track," Marrone said two weeks ago. "Im going to do everything I can to help a 24-year-old man make better decisions." NOTES: LB Manny Lawson and DL Alan Branch reported for the mandatory minicamp after both skipped the teams voluntary sessions this off-season. Lawson said he found it important to take time off from football and be with his family. ... TE Scott Chandler was excused from practice for personal reasons. The deal didnt really work out for the Jays

Hands up if you remember the last trade made by the Blue Jays. Danilo Jersey . I admit, I actually had to look it up. It was back on December 14th when the Jays sent reliever Brad Lincoln to the Phillies for 33-year-old catcher Eric Kratz and 24-year-old lefty reliever Rob Rasmussen. It has been a quiet winter hasnt it? Of course we were spoiled in the off-season a year ago, when Alex Anthopoulos pulled off that monster 12 player deal with the Miami Marlins and then followed up with that seven player swap with the Mets that landed R.A Dickey. Off-seasons like that come along every 10 years or so, if that. Over the weekend I was curious to see, which team had been the Blue Jays most common trade partner. I can tell you it wasnt the Yankees, though they have made 23 deals with the Pinstripes. It wasnt Cleveland either, though the Jays have made 23 swaps with the Tribe. No, the team the Blue Jays have made the most deals with over their 37-year history according the BaseballReference.com is the Oakland As; thirty to be exact. Going over them one-by-one, I could see only one that the Jays outright lost. That one went down on Dec. 8, 1984. The Blue Jays dealt left fielder Dave Collins and shortstop Alfredo Griffin to Oakland for Bill Caudill -- the guy who was supposed to be the closer who would push them over the top. Of course that didnt happen, and by June of 1985 Tom Henke became the ninth inning guy and the Jays did in fact go on to win their 1st division title. Eventually Griffin found his way back to Toronto and as a utility infielder became part of the World Series teams in ‘92 and ‘93. The Jays very first trade with the As came on February 24th of 1977, when their original roster was still being formulated. The Jays dealt infielder Mike Weathers to the As for veteran outfielder/first baseman Ron Fairly, who had played with the Expos in their early years as well. Fairly provided a sense of veteran leadership and class in the Jays clubhouse that 1st year. On July 31, 1993 at the non-waiver trade deadline, Pat Gillick was trying to put together a deal for lefty Randy Johnson to help make a run at a second straight World Series title. When he couldnt get the arm he wanted, Gillick turned around and dealt lefty Steve Karsay and a player to be named later (outfielder Jose Herrrara) to the As for all-time stolen base king Rickey Henderson. Though he turned out to be a rental, Rickey helped ensure a World Series win over the Phillies come October. J.P. Ricciardi pulled off a deal with the As on December 7, 2001 that helped both teams. He sent closer Billy Koch to the West coast for third baseman Eric Hinske and right hander Justin Miller. Hinske became American League rookie of the year in 2002. The Jays made two more deals with Oakland that they clearly won. On November 18, 2003 they picked up lefty Ted Lilly for outfielder Bobby Kielty, and then on November 18,? 2007 -- exactly years later -- they acquired SS/2B Marco Scutaro from the As  for a couple of prospects who never made it in Kristian Bell and Graham Godfrey. The Jays mistake was not keeping Scutaro around longer as he went on to help the Giants win a couple of World Series titles. If you were wondering, the team the Blue Jays have made the fewest deals with is Tampa Bay. Since the  Devil Rays/Rays came into the American League, the two teams have only gotten together on three deals and none of them were really memorable. The last was over nine years ago on  December 12, 2004 when the Jays  sent catcher Kevin Cash to the Rays for right-hander Chad Gaudin. On December 14, 2003, the Jays pulled off a three-way swap with the Rays and Colorado; the Blue Jays getting reliever Justin Speier from the Rockies and sending  lefty Mark Hendrickson and Sandy Nin to Tampa Bay, while  Colorado received lefty starter Joe Kennedy from the Rays. The only other deal between the Jays and Rays was supposed to improve the Jays pitching depth for a playoff push in 2000. The Jays sent 2B Brent Abernathy to the Rays for lefty reliever Mark Guthrie and right-hander Steve Trachsel. The deal didnt really work out for the Jays as Guthrie went (0-2) with a 4.79 ERA and in 11 starts, the slow-working Trachsel went (2-5) with a 5.29 ERA. Both were gone at the end of the season after the Jays missed the playoffs under Jim Fregosi. To Trachsels credit, he did revive his career over the next six years with the Mets winning 66 games, including 16 in 2003 and 15 in 2006. The Tampa Bay Rays since 2008 have made four playoff appearances and have been to one World Series (2008).  On their roster today, they have only four players who were with that team in 2008: Reliever Grant Balfour, who was just re-acquired as a free agent, lefty David Price , star third  baseman Evan Longoria  and super utilityman Ben Zobrist. The Blue  Jays over that same span have only three players who were with them in 2008: Dustin McGowan, who hardly pitched at all do to injuries, Jose Bautista whos been injury plagued the last two seasons,  and Adam Lind, coming off a solid season who nevertheless, over the years has been plagued  by inconsistency. Technically Casey Janssen has been with the team that long as well, but he missed the entire 2008 season with a torn labrum. A teams core players tell you a lot about the team. Its not hard to see why the Rays have been contenders the last six seasons and the Blue Jays have not. Lucas Lima Brazil Jersey . FIFA said in a statement Friday that "several racist and discriminatory incidents were apparently perpetrated by local supporters during the match, in particular by displaying neo-Nazi banners and by making monkey noises and gestures as well as Nazi salutes. Ricardo Oliveira Brazil Jersey . The 24-year-old Raley was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA for Chicago in his first two career starts after being called up from Iowa on Aug. 7. He was optioned to Iowa on Monday after losing 3-0 to Cincinnati in Chicago on Sunday. The Ottawa Senators took issue with the way P.K. Subban celebrated his overtime-winning goal on Thursday, but it mattered little to the Montreal Canadiens star defenceman. "I dont care," he said flatly when reporters brought it up with him at the teams practice in Toronto on Friday. "I dont care. Its the game of hockey, youre not disrespecting anybody. To be honest, that games over. I dont really need to comment on it." With the score tied at four goals apiece through regulation, Subban scored just 23 seconds into the extra period as his shot trickled through goaltender Craig Andersons legs for a 5-4 win at Canadian Tire Centre. Subban then dropped his stick and grabbed the CH logo on the front of his sweater and shook it repeatedly for the crowd, many of which were cheering Canadiens fans.. Luiz Gustavo Jersey. "The key word there is unneccessary," Anderson told reporters at practice on Friday. "I didnt see us when we scored our overtime goal throwing our jersey up like that. Its one of those things - its his character. It should make us all angry here and make sure that doesnt happen again." "It is what it is," added Senators captain Jason Spezza. "He won the hockey game, he scored the goal. Different guys celebrate in different ways around the league, so Im not going to lose sleep over it." Both teams will face off against each other again at the Bell Centre on Mar. 15. The Canadiens continue their four-game road trip against the Maple Leafs on Saturday night in a game that can be head live on TSN Radio 690 in Montreal and TSN Radio 150 in Toronto. Cheap Jerseys 2019 Cheap Jerseys From ChinaStitched Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Wholesale Jerseys 2020 Cheap Jerseys Store Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

after an emergency meeting at its

Morocco was thrown out of the 2015 African Cup of Nations and dumped as the host Tuesday after refusing to commit to the scheduled dates early next year because of fears over Ebola. Darwin Barney Jersey .The tournament in January and February will now have a new host country only two months before kickoff, the Confederation of African Football said after an emergency meeting at its Cairo headquarters.CAF didnt announce the replacement host, but said it had received some applications. These applications are currently under review, and the executive committee will finalize the selection of the successful national association shortly, the African football body said in a statement. It didnt name any of the candidates.South Africa, Egypt, Sudan and Ghana have all already indicated they are unwilling to replace Morocco, partly because of Ebola. Nigeria, Angola and Gabon have also been mentioned as possible stand-in hosts. The decisions by CAF were taken at a meeting that was forced by Moroccos refusal to hold the tournament on the planned dates of Jan. 17-Feb. 8 because of the threat of the spread of Ebola. The disease has killed about 5,000 people in West Africa, and Morocco wanted the 16-team soccer event postponed until 2016 because of fears the deadly virus would arrive with supporters and other travellers.CAF repeatedly refused Moroccos request to postpone the African Cup, the bodys main money-earning tournament, and gave the country until Saturday to commit to the planned dates. Morocco declined again. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation reiterated its refusal to hold the competition on the dates indicated, CAF said Tuesday. Therefore having firmly and unanimously notified ... its decision to keep the competition on the dates indicated, the executive committee confirmed that the Africa Cup of Nations 2015 will not take place in Morocco.CAFs executive committee also decided that the national team of Morocco is automatically disqualified because of its refusal to host. CAF will decide on further punishments for Morocco for breaching its contract as host, it said.CAF must now decide on a new host nation, one which will have little time to prepare. The decision on the new host would be made shortly, CAF said, but it didnt give a solid timeframe. It also will have to re-schedule the final draw for the tournament, and the ongoing qualifying competition might be affected if a country currently playing in the qualifiers is given an automatic place in the final tournament as the new host. After Morocco indicated last month that it wanted a postponement, CAF approached seven countries to act as possible short-notice hosts, according to South Africa, one of the nations on the list.No country has publicly said yet that it wants to host the tournament in Moroccos place.Although Guinea is the only one of the three West African countries worst-affected by Ebola to still have a good chance of qualifying for the final tournament, there was nothing stopping fans from the other Ebola countries from travelling, Moroccan authorities said. They warned of the dangers of supporters from football-mad West Africa mixing with large groups of other fans at stadiums.Morocco said it wouldnt stand down over its position because of advice from its health authorities, which took precedence over sports.Moroccan authorities were criticized by some sections of their own media over their decision, which could result in a ban from future editions of the African Cup.While harping on the risk of Ebola, Moroccos position is strongly contradicted by Royal Air Marocs 15 flights a week to countries affected by Ebola, an editorial in the French-language Moroccan daily Les Echos said. There are not less than 1,500 people transported from these countries to Morocco every week, without a single case detected. The paper predicted severe penalties and a negative political impact for Morocco.Morocco is also scheduled to host FIFAs Club World Cup next month, featuring Champions League winner Real Madrid. The country said it was willing to continue with its hosting duties for that tournament because it didnt expect many supporters to travel to it from Ebola-affected regions. The two African teams playing in the Club World Cup are from Morocco and Algeria.___Associated Press writer Paul Schemm contributed to this report.___Gerald Imray is on Twitter at www.twitter.com/GeraldImrayAP Aaron Sanchez Jersey .ca NHL Power Rankings, ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks, St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks. An early Damien Delaney own goal and a cracking effort from Matteo Darmian means United close the gap on Arsenal in fourth to just one point, although the Gunners have a game in hand.Louis van Gaals men were rarely troubled by a lacklustre Palace side, who looked to have one eye on Sundays FA Cup semi-final against Watford and didnt register a single shot on target.  Attention now turns to The Emirates on Thursday evening where Arsenal take on West Bromwich Albion, live on Sky Sports 1.  Morgan Schneiderlin, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial celebrate after Damien Delaneys own goal Julian Speroni was making his first start of the season for Palace as Alan Pardew made seven changes. The goalkeepers first task of the night was to pick the ball out of his net.Darmian latched onto a nice flick from Marcus Rashford down the left and fizzed a cross into the middle. It was a hopeful cross, but Delaney turned it into a good one as he clumsily turned the ball into his own net with his right foot. From that moment Palace were never in the game as United controlled proceedings through Wayne Rooney, who excelled in a deeper role. He was feeding the front three of Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard fruitful service and all that was lacking was a killer instinct in front of goal, otherwise the scoreline could have become very one-sided.Martial was denied on 23 minutes by a save from Speroni and the Palace stopper had to be even more alert seven minutes later to brilliantly tip away a fearsome shot from the right edge of the box by the lively French attacker. Louis van Gaal bbelieves Manchester Uniteds latest win over Crystal Palace keeps them in with a chance of clinching a top four spot Delaney nearly doubled his tally of own goals for the night on 32 minutes as he accidentally turned a Martial cross towards his own net but his blushes were spared as the ball drifted the wrong side of the post. Devon Travis Jersey. United had won their previous three Premier League home games by a 1-0 scoreline but always looked capable of finding further breakthroughs and it came on 56 minutes.A corner could only be cleared out to Darmian and under little pressure from the Palace defence, he controlled the ball and rocketed a thunderous half-volley into the net via the far post, scoring his first United goal in spectacular fashion. Alan Pardew admits his side may have had one eye on their FA Cup semi-final clash with Watford after losing 2-0 to Manchester United Rooney was searching for his 100th Premier League goal at Old Trafford for Manchester United and the closest he came to getting it was on the hour mark but his side-footed effort from 20 yards was blocked away by Pape Souare two yards from his goal-line. Speroni saved a Rashford effort just before the striker was substituted to a standing ovation on 63 minutes as United saw the game out very comfortably. Uniteds sixth successive Premier League win at Old Trafford puts pressure on Arsenal as they prepare to face West Brom, live on Sky Sports 1 HD on Thursday.Player RatingsManchester United: De Gea (6), Valencia (6), Smalling (7), Blind (7), Darmian (8), Lingard (7), Schneiderlin (7), Mata (7), Rooney (8), Martial (7), Rashford (7)Subs: Fellaini (6), Herrera (6), Memphis (6)Crystal Palace: Speroni (7), Kelly (5), Mariappa (6), Delaney (4), Souare (6); Jedinak (5), Cabaye (6), Lee (6); Zaha (7), Adebayor (5), Sako (4)Subs: Mutch (6), McArthur (6), Wickham (6)Man of the match: Matteo Darmian Cheap Jerseys 2020 Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Cheap Jerseys China Jerseys Cheap Jerseys NFL China Discount NFL Jerseys ' ' '

he recovers from back surgery that has

DUBLIN, Ohio -- Tiger Woods withdrew from the U. Chris Long Jersey .S. Open on Wednesday as he recovers from back surgery that has kept him out of golf for nearly three months. It will be the second U.S. Open, and sixth major, he has missed because of injury over the last six years. The U.S. Open is June 12-15 at Pinehurst No. 2, where Woods tied for third in 1999 and was runner-up in 2005. The announcement on his website was not surprising. A week ago at a promotional event for the Quicken Loans National at Congressional, Woods said he still had not taken a full swing with a golf club and did not know when he could. He had microdiscetomy surgery to relieve a pinched nerve on March 31. "Unfortunately, I wont be there because Im not yet physically able to play competitive golf," Woods said. "Id like to convey my regrets to the USGA leadership, the volunteers and the fans that I wont be at Pinehurst. The U.S. Open is very important to me, and I know its going to be a great week." Woods last played on March 9 at Doral, where he closed with a 78 while suffering what he called back spasms. He withdrew in the middle of the final round at the Honda Classic with back pain a week earlier. Woods is a three-time U.S. Open champion, one short of the record shared by Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones and Willie Anderson. His most recent U.S. Open victory was in 2008 at Torrey Pines, where he won in a playoff over Rocco Mediate a week before he had season-ending knee surgery. That was his 14th victory in 46 majors, a winning rate of 30 per cent as a pro. He has not won a major since Torrey Pines, leaving him four short of Nicklaus record. Woods missed the British Open and PGA Championship after knee surgery in 2008. He missed the U.S. Open and British Open while allowing leg injuries to heal in 2011. He missed the Masters for the first time in April because of back surgery. Nicklaus said earlier Wednesday that Woods health would be the biggest obstacle in breaking his record in the majors. Woods called Nicklaus earlier Wednesday to express regrets about missing the Memorial, and Nicklaus said that Woods indicated he was making progress. "If hes healthy, I think Tiger has got 10-plus years to play top quality tournament golf," Nicklaus said. "And Ive said many times, hes got a little over 40 tournaments to play the major championships; hes only got to win five to pass my record. As good a player as he is, I dont think that should be a big deal. But then again, hes got to do it. Plus, hes also got to be healthy to be able to do it." Woods has not indicated when he might be able to return to competition, saying that would be up to his doctors and how he recovers from the surgery. "Despite missing the first two majors, and several other important tournaments, I remain very optimistic about this year and my future," he said. While Woods wont be at Pinehurst, niece Cheyenne Woods will be there the following week for the U.S. Womens Open. She earned a spot Wednesday in qualifying in Scottsdale, Arizona. Harold Carmichael Jersey . - The Clippers have signed guard Dahntay Jones to a second 10-day contract. Wilbert Montgomery Jersey . Zimmermann became the National Leagues first 16-game winner, pitching seven solid innings to lead the Washington Nationals past the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 Wednesday night.GUELPH, Ont. -- Barclay Goodrow rewarded the North Bay Battalion for keeping calm despite an early deficit. Playing their usual choking style of defence, the Battalion waited out the Guelph Storm before scoring a late power-play goal in the third period. Goodrow then scored his 12th goal of the playoffs 2:30 into overtime as North Bay tied the Ontario Hockey League final at one with a 4-3 win Friday. It was the second straight night the teams had to settle things in extra time, with Jason Dickinson scoring the winner for Guelph in Game 1. Goodrow, who leads the Battalion with 22 points in the playoffs, positioned himself alone between the faceoff circles and made no mistake on Ben Thomsons feed from the corner, beating Storm goaltender Justin Nichols with a shot off the right post and in. Goodrow said t twice in the game to win. The Storm led 2-0 in the first period 3-2 in the third. "Thats the character weve shown all season. We get down but we stick with the game plan and we try and make the simple play and dont cheat for offence," said Goodrow. The Battalion also showed a lot of resilience after a game they thought they deserved to win the night before. "We lost a tough game last night and all year this teams shown a lot of character," said Battalion coach Stan Butler. "We could have folded tonight. Its a tough building and a great team were playing, but they chose to go the other way. As a result, were going home 1-1." Nick Paul had a goal and an assist for the Battalion, while Marcus McIvor and Mathew Santos also had goals. Robby Fabbri had a pair of goals for the Storm and Steven Trojanovic chipped in with one. North Bays Jake Smith turned aside 21-of-24 shots for the win, while Nichols made 37 saves. Guelph head coach Scott Walker gave the Battalion credit for their effort, but added that the Storm still hasnt shown their A game. "Right now, to be honest, they want it more than we do," Walker said. "We have to put the work socks on and helmet, and get to work and see how it goes. Weere a very mature team with good leadership and well spend a couple days here at practice getting better and then see what we can do out there. Jalen Mills Jersey. quot; Walker also noticed the Battalions ability to cut off a lot of the ice, as evidenced by the Storms 24 shots in the game. "I think were getting frustrated, were not used to not being able to have a little more creativity. Theyre skating, theyre working extremely hard against us," Walker said. "For the most part, we knew it was going to battle. You dont get this far in the OHL and not be a good team. I think we just have to look at each other and grab on and start rolling the right way." Things were going the Storms way early in the game, as Steven Trojanovics wrist shot from the boards hit Smith in the shoulder and dribbled behind him just 1:16 into the game. Despite not getting many shots, the Storm increased their lead to 2-0 when Fabbris cross-crease pass on a 3-on-1 got poked in by a diving McIvor. McIvor made up for that with just under four minutes left in the period, on the power play, with a blast from the point that clanked off the far post and in. The Battalion tied the game near the midway point of the second period, with Santos chasing down his own rebound at the crease and flipping it over Nichols. Fabbris second goal of the game at 15:57, his 11th of the playoffs, gave the Storm the lead once again. Zack Mitchells drop pass between his legs went to Fabbri at the right faceoff circle and he wristed a shot through a screen and past Smith. The Battalion pulled even at 14:32 of the third on the power play with Trojanovic in the penalty box for delay of game after shooting the puck over the glass. Paul, who also added an assist on the overtime goal, snapped a shot over Nichols right shoulder from the top of the left faceoff circle to end the scoring in regulation. Guelph was 0 for 2 with the man advantage, while North Bay was 2 for 5 on the power play. The series now shifts to North Bay, Ont., for the next two games. been a long road trip, and this ca

Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork. Earl Thomas III Jersey .com) - Alec Burks scored 13 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as the Utah Jazz came away with a 97-91 victory over the suddenly struggling Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum. Gordon Hayward chipped in 21 points and Derrick Favors had 15 along with seven rebounds to help the Jazz send the Southwest Division-leading Grizzlies to a season-high third straight loss. This is huge for us, Jazz forward Rodney Hood said. For us to come out like this and beat a great Memphis team means a lot. Its been a long road trip, and this can be a confidence booster for us. Memphis was without top rebounder Zach Randolph for a second consecutive game due to a swollen knee, while defensive stopper Tony Allen missed his fourth in a row with an eye abrasion. Theyre such a big part of our team, said Grizzlies guard Mike Conley. For them to be missing, weve kind of dialed some stuff back and changed some things up and its been a little bit of a learning process for different guys. Conley and Marc Gasol did their best to carry the load for the short-handed Grizzlies, with the former netting 28 points and Gasol tallying 24 along with 12 rebounds. However, Memphis shot just 32 percent for the fourth quarter as the Jazz drew clear down the stretch. Rudy Gobert pulled down a career-best 16 rebounds in Utahs third win in four games following a 1-12 stretch from Nov. 21-Dec. 16. A nip-and-tuck game all throughout had the Grizzlies up 77-75 on Gasols short jumper with 5:31 remaining, but Utah then went on a 12-4 run and never relinquished the lead thereafter. Burks had the Jazzs first five points of the pivotal surge, including a successful pull-up that placed Utah ahead by an 80-79 count. Favors followed with four straight to extend the margin to five with 3 1/2 minutes to go. After a Conley layup off a Gasol give got the Grizzlies closer, Trey Burke was fouled while hitting a driving layup and converted the bonus shot for an 87-81 Utah advantage with 1:34 left. Conley buried a corner 3-pointer on the ensuing possession, but Burks scored on the other end and after Memphis Courtney Lee misfired from long range, Hayward knocked down two free throws to essentially seal the outcome at 91-84 with 40.3 seconds remaining. Defensively, we were not all tied together, Gasol said. At least not every possession. They got some runs. We knew they were good. We knew they were long and athletic. They did a good job tonight, and thats why they won the game. The Jazz played from behind for much of the first half but finished the second quarter on a tear, embarking on an 8-0 run capped by Haywards buzzer-beating turnaround jumper to grab a 44-43 edge at the break. A 7-0 sequence midway through the third quarter staked Utah to a 63-57 cushion. However, Conley, who poured in 13 points during the frame, and Gasol headed an 11-4 stretch that had Memphis back in front with a minute to go in the stanza. Memphis was up by as many as eight points in the first half, building an early 18-10 lead primarily behind Gasols eight points in the opening eight minutes. Game Notes The Grizzlies have dropped back-to-back games at home after winning 12 of their first 13 at FedExForum ... Utah had lost five straight at Memphis since a 98-88 decision on Feb. 12, 2012 ... Enes Kanter finished with 13 points and nine rebounds for the Jazz, who outrebounded Memphis by a 49-34 margin ... Utah shot 9-of-19 from 3-point range, compared to a 7-of-23 display for the Grizzlies. Frank Clark Jersey . - Bryan Price sat down in the cushy chair. Shaquill Griffin Jersey . After only four starts - including a 5-1 defeat to Barcelona - he joined Villarreal in a £4.3m deal in January 2015.The switch was agreed while Bailly was midway through playing the Africa Cup of Nations, a tournament that Ivory Coast eventually won on a penalty shootout. The defender, the youngest player in Herve Renards squad having only made his international debut the previous month, kept his nerve to convert his spot kick. Bailly in action during the 2015 African Cup of Nations final victory After a slow start to life at Villarreal, Bailly impressed in the 2015/16 campaign as the club made it back into the Champions League with a top-four finish. Villarreal also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, although Bailly missed the second leg of the defeat to Liverpool through injury.Strengths...Bailly unquestionably has the physical attributes needed to thrive in the Premier League. He is quick and strong, making him particularly formidable in one-on-one situations. He was dribbled by less often than any other regular centre-back at a top-four club in Spain - that includes Diego Godin, Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique. Baillys ability to handle one-on-one situations is regarded as a strength Alongside Victor Ruiz in the Villarreal defence, Bailly formed a strong partnership that was a key factor in the teams successful season. He started as the team kept clean sheets against Atletico Madrid (twice), Real Madrid and Liverpool, suggesting an ability to cope against quality opposition.Weaknesses...There have been low points too. Liverpool fans, in particular, will have revelled in the sight of former player Fernando Torres making Bailly look foolish in dispossessing him to score in a game between Atletico Madrid and Villarreal last year and the incident did highlight the improvements required with the ball at his feet. Watch as Bailly gifts Fernando Torres a goal for Atletico Madrid in April 2015 There are question marks too about Baillys discipline - Villarreal boss Marcelino called an October sending off against Celta Vigo absurd. Cortez Kennedy Jersey. He was carded in 13 games out of 21 early in the 2015/16 season, but there are signs of progress  as well - Bailly was not booked once in his final 13 appearances. When in possession he likes to run out from the back with the ball and has even looked comfortable in these situations when he has played as a right-back for Villarreal, venturing forward and not looking out of place in attacking play. When in possession he likes to run out from the back with the ball. Terry Gibson on Eric Bailly He does need to improve the quality of his passing, which at times can be inaccurate and poorly weighted, but this should be possible given time and the right coaching.Bailly is another example of the astute work of Villarreal in the transfer market. The strange thing is that despite losing Bailly and Gabriel Paulista before him to the Premier League, and making huge profits, they will still have managed to retain the services of their first-choice central defensive pairing of Mateo Musacchio and Victor Ruiz. Not bad business indeed. If you build the highest monthly point streak of the season, you could win $10,000! Antonio Morrison Jersey . - Mike Magee converted two penalty kicks in a 10-minute span of the first half and the Chicago Fire beat Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on Sunday. Al Woods Jersey . Or take a relaxing vacation somewhere warm. Brayden Schenn and Scott Hartnell scored, Ray Emery stopped 32 shots and the Flyers beat the Calgary Flames 2-1 on Saturday for their fourth straight victory.BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins have two chances to finish off the archrival Canadiens. They are only thinking about the first one. "Its going to be awesome," Bruins defenceman Kevan Miller said, looking ahead to Game 6 in Montreal on Monday night. "This is the biggest game --the hardest one to win. So, we need to be ready." The Bruins won 4-2 in Game 5 on Saturday night to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series and send the Canadiens to the brink of elimination. Game 6 is Monday at the raucous Bell Centre, with Game 7 back in Boston on Wednesday night, if necessary. "We expect that we are going to have to play our best game yet," Bruins forward Jarome Iginla said. "We know that they are going to try to use their crowd, and we are most likely going to need our best game of the series." The Canadiens swept through the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round and won the first game of the Eastern Conference semifinals in Boston. But since then, the Bruins have regained the form that took them to the Stanley Cup finals twice in three seasons. The Bruins took a 1-0 victory on Matt Frasers overtime goal in Game 4, then came home to speed out to a 3-0 lead. Reilly Smith and Iginla scored power-play goals 32 seconds apart early in the second period to help Boston pull away. "They capitalized on a couple opportunities right at the start of the second period, and that was a tough hole to dig out of," Montreal goalie Carey Price said. "Were going to stay positive. The series is not over yet. Were going home, and were going to bring our absolute best." The Canadiens were in the samee position in the first round against Boston in 2011, winning Game 6 at home before losing the seventh game in overtime. Tarell Basham Jersey. The Bruins went on to win the Stanley Cup. "Some of our guys have done this before," centre David Desharnais said. "Were in front of our fans and we like the way we play at home." Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban said he thinks his team can do it. "We have enough here. We just have to bring it facing elimination," he said. "I still think that we are in a good spot. We are going back home. Thats the barn, its going to be loud. Its going to be full of energy. We are going to be ready to play, thats for sure." Subban has been at the centre of much of the action so far in the series. He scored the winning goal in Game 1 and has four goals and three assists, and on Saturday night he was the victim of an odd controversy. Bruins forward Shawn Thornton was caught by the TV cameras in the final minute spraying water from the bench at Subban, who had the puck. Thornton was fined $2,820.52 by the league on Sunday -- the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement. Bruins coach Claude Julien said he did not approve of Thorntons behaviour and let him know. Thornton said he got caught up in the moment. Subban also said he would like to move on. "I dont need you guys to make it a big deal out of it," he told reporters after the game. "It is one of those irritating things when youre down 4-2. Listen, they beat us. Thats not the reason why we lost. Its just one of those things that frustrates you even more towards the end of the game." Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys 2018 Wholesale Jerseys From China NFL Jerseys Cheap ' ' '

you hire him if you had the chance? Of co

What would you think of a general manager whos had a losing record everywhere hes been? Would you forgive him for making arguably the worst trade in franchise history? Would you hire him if you had the chance? Of course you would, in a "New York" second!  At least if his name was Dave Dombrowski. Jhonny Peralta Jersey . Let me explain. Dombrowski was hired to be the Montreal Expos GM back on July 5, 1988. At 31 he was the youngest general manager in the game. At that point in their history, the Expos had only made it to the postseason once back in the strike split 1981 campaign. The pressure was on to get back to the "promise land" and it was believed the Expos were just one ace pitcher away from getting there. Less than a year after being hired Dombrowski pulled the trigger on a five-player deal with the Seattle Mariners on May 25, 1989. He got his ace in lefty Mark Langston along with a prospect for pitchers Gene Harris, Brian Holman and some guy named Randy Johnson. You might remember him, a flame throwing lefty, a 610" tower of power who had trouble finding the strike zone. Though Langston pitched well going (12-9) the rest of the way, Montreal didnt make the playoffs and Langston signed with the Angels as a free- agent after that season.  Johnson, meanwhile, blossomed into a superstar and went on to a Hall of Fame career. Making trades like that can dog a guy for the rest of his career, but Dombrowski was only getting started. In September 1991, he became general manager of the expansion Florida Marlins. By 1997, the Marlins had won their first World Series thanks in part to the open vault approach of owner Wayne Huizenga, who just as quickly ordered Dombrowski to dismantle the team after the 1997 triumph. Dombrowski was gone by the time the Marlins won their second World Series in 2003, but it was organization and the team he helped build. The Blue Jays were interested in hiring Dombrowski in 2001, but he chose the Detroit Tigers where he became club President as opposed to GM. But that didnt last very long. After the Tigers dropped their first six games in 2002, he immediately fired GM Randy Smith and manager Phil Garner and assumed the general managers title for himself. The next couple of years were rough, especially 2003 when the Tigers lost a Major League record 119 games breaking the All-time mark of the woeful 1962 New York Mets. By 2006 though, the farm system was flourishing, the right deals were made and Tigers made it to the World Series for the first time since 1984. Though they lost the Fall Classic in five games to the St. Louis Cardinals, the Tigers were back as a team that would be factor in the American League for the foreseeable future. They made it again to the World Series in 2012 under Jim Leyland but lost again, this time to the San Francisco Giants in four straight. But its not just the World Series appearances that intrigue you about Dombrowski. Its the way he constructs the "monster deal." In less than seven years, he has pulled off four career defining deals, that are arguably four of the biggest completed over that time span. It started on December 4, 2007, when he picked up Miguel Cabrera, who would become a two-time Triple Crown champ and lefty Dontrelle Willis from his old club in Florida for six prospects none of whom are with the Marlins now, though one lefty reliever Andrew Miller was dealt by the Boston Red Sox to the Baltimore Orioles at this years non- waiver trade deadline. Two years later on December 8, 2009, he may have pulled off the biggest trade of the bunch in a three-way swap with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the New York Yankees. The haul: a former first round draft pick of the D-Backs Max Scherzer who would go on to win the Cy Young award four years later, pitcher Dan Schlereth, reliever Phil Coke and centre field prospect Austin Jackson from the Yankees. Detroit sent right hander Edwin Jackson to Arizona and centre fielder Curtis Granderson to the Yankees. The Yankees completed the swap by sending right hander Ian Kennedy to Arizona. This past off-season, Dombrowski was able to pull off a more modest one-for-one deal with the Texas Rangers. This one allowed the Tigers to send the onerous contract of Prince Fielder to the Rangers for second baseman and top of the order hitter Ian Kinsler. Dombrowski had no way of knowing Fielder would break down and require neck surgery that would knock him out for basically all of the 2014 season, but it turned this deal into a steal. That leads as to this years non-waiver trade deadline. After Oaklands Billy Beane had acquired ace lefty Jon Lester from Boston along with Jonny Gomes, for slugging outfielder Yoenis Cespedes, Dombrowski played his trump card and picked up former Cy Young winning lefty David Price from the Tampa Bay Rays in a three-way swap with the Rays and the Seattle Mariners. The price tag, no pun intended wasnt nearly as steep as you might have expected. Seattle got centre fielder Austin Jackson from Detroit. The Rays wound up with Tigers lefty Drew Smyly, Mariners middle infielder Nick Franklin and a prospect. You could argue Dombrowski won all four of those blockbuster deals. As mentioned off the top, Dombrowski has had a losing record with each team he has been the GM of, though there were extenuating cash flow problems at times in Montreal and Florida. His career record as a general manager is a meager 905-975 with about eight weeks to go in the 2014 season. But who would argue that he hasnt put together a Hall of Fame resume and maybe this will be the year he joins the elite group of general managers whove won World Series in both leagues. *** Interesting stat in the Buffalo News this week; the Bisons have made 194 roster moves this season, and that was before the Blue Jays called up reliever Chad Jenkins this week. That is a modern franchise record. The Bisons are in an all-out playoff push and last made the post season in 2005. This will give you an idea of how important that 21-9 month was to the Blue Jays. They are only (27-26) since June 1st. Still the Jays are holding down that second Wild Card slot and are just a 1.5 game back of first place Baltimore in the AL-East. The upcoming home stand starting Tuesday night against Baltimore and continuing through next week versus Detroit is the most important August stand in two decades. Thats where the real playoff push begins. Adam Wainwright Jersey . According to USA Today the Finns have tapped forwards Jarkko Immonen and Sakari Salminen to replace injured forwards Mikko Koivu and Valtteri Filppula at the Sochi Games. Chris Carpenter Jersey . Keenum will make his first appearance in a regular-season game against the rugged defence of the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, where the fans just set a Guinness record as the noisiest outdoor stadium in the world.CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Eugenie Bouchard won five of the last six games to upset Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in the Family Circle Cup quarter-finals Friday. The 20-year-old Canadian beat the second-seeded Jankovic to reach the semifinals at a WTA tour event for the second time this season and fifth in her career. On Saturday, she plays 14th-seeded Andrea Petkovic as she seeks her first title -- something Bouchard thinks shes more than ready for. "Every time I go into a tournament now and every match, I always believe I can win," she said. Even when she falls behind, as happened in her past two matches. Bouchard trailed in the third set against Venus Williams on Thursday and Jankovic this time before rallying to victories. "I feel confidence in myself," she said. Jankovic, a Serb once ranked No. 1, was the latest familiar name to be ousted before the weekend. The 2007 champion joined Serena and Venus Williams and past winners Sabine Lisicki and Sam Stosur. Jankovic was the highest-ranked player left in the field at No. 8. No. 3 seed Sara Errani was also upset in the quarterfinals, falling to 17-year-old qualifier Belinda Bencic. Bencic, who had to win twice last weekend simply to make the field, took over in the final two sets for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory over the 26-year-old Italian. Bencic hadnt made it past the second round in two previous WTA events this year and wasnt expecting to advance to her first tour semifinals "I was hoping for it and I was believing in me that it would come," she said. "Yeah, Im just really happy it came this week." Bencic is the first qualifier to advance this far at the Family Circle, an event where at least one of the top four seeds has reached the semifinals the previous 10 years. On Saturday, shell face unseeded Slovakian Jana Cepelova, who pulled off a final surprise when she easily beat 12th-seeded countrywoman Daniela Hantuchova 6-2, 6-1. Cepelova had defeated world No. 1 and two-time defending Family Circle champion Serena Williams on Tuesday night to start off a week of upsets. Brett Cecil Jersey. . Either Bencic or Cepelova will be the first unseeded player in the finals since 2011 when Elena Vesnina lost the championship to Caroline Wozniacki. Errani looked confident and in control in the first set before getting overwhelmed by Bencic, who won 12 of the final 15 games. Errani talked to herself and even threw down her racket as Bencics crisp shots clipped lines and moved out of reach. Petkovic topped ninth-seeded Lucie Safarova 6-3, 1-6, 6-1. The 26-year-old German, ranked 40th in the world, had struggled in recent events. So Petkovic was pleased to shake off Safarova in the final set and advance to weekend play. "Im used to winning at least two, three matches and then losing to the top players, but it was a really tough few weeks for me in the past," she said. "So now Im just really, really happy and kind of relieved." Cepelova said the win over Serena Williams gave her a boost of energy shes carried throughout the work. "Playing against Serena I really learned so much and every match gave me more confidence," she said. Bouchard made it to the Australian Open semifinals this year, losing to eventual champion Li Na. In her only WTA final, she lost to Sam Stosur in Osaka in October. Bouchard trailed 2-1 in the final set. She then dug in to win the next three games and take control. Her steady, strong groundstrokes wore down Jankovic. "It was the third set and your concentration goes down a little bit if youre getting tired," Jankovic said. "It was so close. It could have went either way, if I was a little bit tougher out there and played certain points a little smarter." The two also met in the quarterfinals last year, and Jankovic won 6-2, 6-1. Bouchard was ranked No. 114 then, but shes 20th now. "Well, I didnt want it to be Groundhog Day today, for sure," Bouchard said. "Same tournament, same round, same opponent." Not the same result. China Jerseys Cheap Cheap Jerseys 2019 Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping Jerseys Wholesale China Jerseys Cheap Jerseys 2019 Wholesale Jerseys 2018 ' ' '

but the big first baseman didnt make

DETROIT -- On a day full of bad news on the injury front, at least the Texas Rangers could enjoy a victory. Ricardo Louis Jersey . Shin-Soo Choo homered, Chris Gimenez had four hits and the Rangers rolled to a 9-2 victory over the slumping Detroit Tigers on Thursday. This was supposed to be Prince Fielders first game back in Detroit after the Tigers traded him in the off-season, but the big first baseman didnt make the trip because of a herniated disk in his neck that could keep him out the rest of the season. Fielder is expected to have surgery Tuesday. General manager Jon Daniels announced that after the game. Manager Ron Washington had already finished talking to reporters by then. "You just want to go out there and give yourself a chance, hope your pitching staff gives you a chance," Washington said. "We understand not every day were going to be able to put nine runs up, especially against this team." Yu Darvish (4-2) allowed two runs and six hits in seven innings, striking out six and walking three. The Rangers broke through quickly against Detroit rookie Robbie Ray (1-1), who lasted only 3 1-3 innings. Ray allowed seven runs, nine hits and four walks, and the AL Central-leading Tigers lost their fourth straight. Ian Kinsler, who was traded to Detroit for Fielder in an off-season blockbuster, went 1 for 3 in his first game against the Rangers. The Tigers breezed to a 27-12 start before being swept in a three-game series at Cleveland. Star right-handers Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer were both knocked around in that series, and a 13-inning finale against the Indians taxed the bullpen. Rays start Thursday made the situation even worse, and infielder Danny Worth ended up pitching the ninth inning for Detroit. Worth, throwing a knuckleball, actually struck out two in a scoreless frame. "That was a lot of fun," Worth said. "Obviously, you dont ever want to be needed in that spot, but once I got out there, I enjoyed it." Alex Rios opened the scoring with an RBI double off Ray in the second, and Gimenez drove him home with a single. Adrian Beltre added a two-run double the following inning and later scored to make it 5-0. In half of Darvishs first eight starts, the Rangers failed to provide a single run of support. That wasnt a problem Thursday. Choos two-run homer in the fourth chased Ray, and Michael Choices two-run single later that inning gave the Rangers a nine-run lead. Gimenez had never even had a three-hit game before Thursday. Not only did he contribute offensively, but he also had little trouble behind the plate. It was his first time catching Darvish and his tricky array of pitches. "He let me do whatever I wanted to do," Darvish said through a translator. "So I felt really good." Texas has won back-to-back games for only the second time this month, but the Rangers injury woes remain a major concern. It looks like they will be without Fielder for a while, and in the third inning, centre fielder Daniel Robertson hurt himself in an outfield collision. Robertson came diving in headfirst to try to make a catch, at the same time Rios came sliding in from right. Replays showed a wad of gum popping out of Robertsons mouth when the two players collided. X-ray and concussion tests were negative. "Its a hard play, its a hustle play," Robertson said. "If we were to do it 10 times again, Id make the same play." The Tigers lead second-place Minnesota by 4 1/2 games in the division, but theyve allowed 31 runs in their past four games, an uncharacteristic spell for what might be baseballs best starting rotation. Detroits starters have allowed 19 earned runs over a three-game span, the first time thats happened since May 24-27, 2011, according to STATS. The last time a position player pitched for the Tigers was also in 2011, when Don Kelly did it. NOTES: Detroits extra-inning loss to Cleveland on Wednesday took 5 hours, 16 minutes. Thursdays game looked as if it might stretch past 4 hours for a while, but it sped up toward the end and was over in 3:30. ... LONDON -- Less than a year after pushing to leave Manchester United, Wayne Rooney committed his long-term future to the struggling Premier League champion on Friday by signing a lucrative contract through June 2019. The 28-year-old forwards future at United has been uncertain since Chelsea tried to sign him last year, and he had only 18 months remaining on his current deal. But Rooney now looks set to end his playing career at the club he has been at since 2004 after signing a contract reportedly worth around 300,000 pounds ($500,000) a week. The deal makes Rooney the leagues top earner, and softens the blow of potentially not playing against Europes elite clubs next season. In the first season since David Moyes replaced Alex Ferguson, United is seventh in the league with 12 matches remaining, 11 points from Englands fourth Champions League berth. "Its not a massive concern for me," Rooney said on his personal website. "This is because I know the direction that this club is going in, and if we dont make it this season then we will come back stronger and claim a Champions League spot next season. "Lets not forget we still have a chance this year. Some of the other teams are playing well, but we have a strong squad here and if we have a positive end to the season then who knows what can happen." The England national team star has been at United almost a decade, since leaving an Everton team then managed by Moyes. In 403 United appearances, Rooney has scored 208 goals, putting him fourth on the clubs career list, 41 behind record-holder Bobby Charlton. "Wayne has been the best player in England since I put him into the Everton first team in 2003," Moyes said. Kenny Britt Jersey. . "Since becoming United manager in July last year, I have enjoyed working with him and seeing just how he has developed his incredible talent. As part of the new contract, Rooney will become a club ambassador when his playing career ends. He already is central to the clubs global marketing operation as one of the teams most high-profile players. "Ive been here since I was 18 and this contract will take me through to my 30s, which is almost my entire professional career," Rooney said. "Ive played most of my best football here and am looking forward to hopefully playing even better football in the next few years." Moyes is delighted to have prevented Rooney from joining a rival. "Everyone would want him in their team," Moyes said. "There were clubs who did want him. There were clubs who would have wanted him, but there was never going to be a chance he was going to leave Manchester United, certainly not on my watch." Convincing Rooney to stay, having already broken the clubs transfer record to sign midfielder Juan Mata last month, should help Moyes persuade other players to join as he looks to strengthen the squad. "Part of the rebuilding is making sure that you keep the players you really want to keep," Moyes said. "We are looking to bring the best players in the world to the club. I think Wayne Rooney is one of them. I will be looking to make more signings in the summer and hopefully add to the quality we already have got." China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China China Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys From China Cheap Authentic Jerseys Jerseys From China ' ' '

Its not something that were counting on

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Greg Maddux Jersey . -- The Jacksonville Jaguars expect to be without suspended receiver Justin Blackmon all season, maybe even longer. General manager Dave Caldwell said Friday it would be "relatively surprising" to have Blackmon back on the field this fall. "Its not something that were counting on," Caldwell said at the teams annual predraft luncheon. "It would be something that would be relatively surprising. Havent gotten a whole lot of updates from the league where hes at or from Justin, to be honest with you." Blackmon is suspended indefinitely without pay for repeated violations of the leagues substance abuse policy. He was previously suspended the first four games of last year for violating the policy. He played four games before getting suspended again -- at least for a year. But the Jaguars arent counting on Blackmon to return after eight games in 2014. NFL rules prohibit the team from having any contact with Blackmon -- aside from texts -- during his suspension. "Without having contact, we just have to protect the team now," coach Gus Bradley said. "Weve got to do whats right for the organization so we have to continue to move forward and project that. Weve got to get some guys in here at that spot and thats why youve heard Dave talk about wide receiver is a need because of that. Now, if everything works out to get him back, thats OK. We always will love to get very talented players in here. But its hard. But we just have to keep going forward." With Blackmons future uncertain, the Jaguars are considering selecting Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins with the third overall pick in next weeks draft. If they dont take Watkins in the first round, they expect to use at least one of their other 10 picks on a receiver. The wideout class is considered one of the deepest in the draft. Blackmon has been involved in three substance-related incidents in three years. He was arrested on a misdemeanour DUI charge in Texas in 2010 after officers caught him speeding on a suburban Dallas highway. The charge was later reduced to an underage alcohol possession charge. A little more than a month after the Jaguars drafted him, he was arrested during a traffic stop in Stillwater, Oklahoma, after a breath test allegedly showed his blood alcohol content to be three times the legal limit. A subsequent violation landed him the four-game suspension. Another one got him the indefinite suspension. Blackmon caught 29 passes for 415 yards and a touchdown in the four games he played last season. He was the teams leading receiver during that stretch. While Blackmon sat out the first four games, the Jaguars averaged 224 yards of total offence. In the four games he played, Jacksonville hiked its offensive output to just over 350 yards per game. He has 93 catches for 1,280 yards and six scores in 20 games -- all since Jacksonville traded up to select the former Oklahoma State star with the fifth overall pick in the 2012 draft. Without him, the Jaguars relied on Cecil Shorts III, Ace Sanders and Mike Brown last season. Kosuke Fukudome Jersey . a€“ All signs point to the Maple Leafs having their top offseason acquisition in the lineup on opening night. Koji Uehara Jersey . Gordon reportedly failed another drug test and is facing a one-year ban. Gordon led the NFL in yards receiving last season despite being suspended two games for violating the leagues substance-abuse policy.PARIS -- France coach Didier Deschamps has left Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri out of the squad of 23 players he plans to take to the World Cup. Monaco centerback Eric Abidal, Manchester City leftback Gael Clichy and Lyon playmaker Yoann Gourcuff were also overlooked. "Its not necessarily the 23 best French players, but its the best squad in my eyes to go as far as possible in this competition," Deschamps said. "The best solution was to give a list of 23 players right from the start, to create a good mindset, so there would be no sense of insecurity. "When you give a list of 30 players, you have about 15 players who could be worried about making the cut or not." Deschamps, who also named seven players on standby in case of injuries, doesnt need to communicate his 23-man squad to FIFA until June 2. Deschamps captained France to glory at the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European Championship. He became the national coach in 2012. Nasri scored seven goals and had seven assists in the Premier League this season. But it was not enough to convince Deschamps. "Samirs performances with the France team were not at the level of his performances with his club," Deschamps said. "Hes an important player and a regular starter at Manchester City. Thats not the case today with the France team. "And he also said hes not happy when hes a substitute. I can tell you that you can feel it in the squad. Because of those two or three reasons, I decided not to select him in this squad." Nasri was hit with a three-match ban by the French Football Federation for his behaviour at the 2012 European Championship in Poland and Ukraine, where he aimed an expletive-laced tirade at a journalist after a 2-0 quarterfinal loss to Spain. The exclusion of Abidal and Gourcuff from the list was less surprising. Abidal proved a key player when France was the runner-up at the 2006 World Cup but he has lost his starting spot at Monaco in the past few of months, while Gourcuff had an injury-plagued season. "At the human level, living together for such a long time with players who have strong characters and personalities requires harmony and an ability to live together and make the common interest prevail," Deschamps said. Custom Chicago Cubs Jerseys. The entire France squad went on strike four years ago to protest the expulsion of Nicolas Anelka, who had insulted then coach Raymond Domenech during a 2-0 loss to Mexico at the World Cup in South Africa. The French federation punished Anelka and three players for their role in the mutiny. Anelka received an 18-match ban while Patrice Evra was suspended for five games, Franck Ribery for three and Jeremy Toulalan for a single match. "I dont pretend that nothing will happen," Deschamps said. "Things could happen, things will happen, but I hope it will be positive things." Deschamps will especially rely on Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to go through the group stage. American Hockey League action

ST. Michael Jordan Jersey . JOHNS, N.L. -- Jason Jaffray scored 52 seconds into the game, and Eddie Pasquale made 36 saves to lead the St. Johns IceCaps over the Manchester Monarchs 4-1 in American Hockey League action on Friday. "We got off to a good start and scored that early goal," IceCaps forward Adam Lowry said. "Then we got back on our heels a bit in the third period. We did a good job keeping their shots to the outside in the third." Despite being outshot 18-7 in the third period, partially due to having to kill three penalties, Pasquale kept the IceCaps in the game. Head coach Keith McCambridge was happy with the teams penalty kill. "In the third period especially, our penalty kill was tested," McCambridge said. "The foundation for all penalty kills is making sure your goaltender is the best guy (out there). I thought Eddie (Pasquale) made some huge saves for us to be able to keep momentum." One player who is making the most of his penalty kill opportunities, according to McCambridge, is Adam Lowry. "Hes really good and hes been good all season," he said. "He possesses long range and takes up a lot of ice, and he is able to read well on the forecheck. Lowry is a player that has a lot of intelligence on where to be on the ice and hes been key for us." Lowry is happy to have an expanded role with the IceCaps, which allows him to be killing penalties and learning from veterans. "Its good any time your role is increased with the team, you want to make the most of it," Lowry said. "(Patrice) Cormier and Jaffray have helped me out a lot on the penalty kill and knowing where to be." Jerome Samson scored two goals, and John Albert had one for the IceCaps (20-15-3), who won their second in a row. Nick Deslauriers replied for the Monarchs (25-11-6). Jaffray opened the scoring when he tapped in a rebound off an Andrew Gordon slapshot. Albert made it 2-0 with a short-handed goal when he cut across the net and beat Jean-Francois Berube with a backhand shot at 7:56of the second period. Samson got his first goal of the game on the power play at 11:20 of the second, to make it 3-0. The Monarchs got on the board at 14:17 of the second period when Jordan Weal tipped a pass across the crease to Deslauriers, who scored into a practically empty net. Samson added an empty netter for the IceCaps with 14 seconds left. Berube made 27 saves for Manchester. St. Johns was 1 for 4 with the man advantage, and the Monarchs were 0 for 5. Avisail Garcia Jersey . Called on from the college ranks to replace Andy Reid, Kelly implemented a whole new atmosphere in the City of Brotherly Love and now has the Eagles in the playoffs for the first time since 2010. Chris Sale Jersey .K. Subban and Matt Duchene will be the two skaters sitting out the teams opening game.FRANKFURT, Germany -- Eintracht Frankfurt fell to its fourth straight loss in the Bundesliga when Eric Choupo-Moting scored late in the match for Mainz to win 1-0 on Sunday. In the late match, 17-year-old Timo Werner became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to score a brace in leading Stuttgart 3-1 past Freiburg. Eintracht has developed an unhealthy habit of conceding decisive goals in the last 10 minutes and that happened again, when Choupo-Moting rose at the far post to meet a cross from Zdenek Pospech and send in a powerful header in the 88th minute. Alexander Meier hit the post with a header from a corner with Eintracht the better side early in the match. But Eintrachht goalkeeper Kevin Trapp also made some big saves, including a one-on-one attempt by Shinji Okazaki, to keep his team in the match. Carlos Rodon Jersey. Eintracht is now winless in seven matches and has never won in Mainz in nine attempts. Eintracht is two points above the danger zone and Freiburg. Stuttgart stunned Freiburg with two goals inside a span of two minutes early in the game. Vedad Ibisevic put the visitors ahead with a clinical finish in the ninth minute for his eighth goal of the season and Werner doubled the lead less than 90 seconds later. Substitute Mike Hanke raised Freiburgs hopes with a goal in the 78th but Werner secured Stuttgarts victory in the 82nd. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

they switched to Setoguchi after the game e

WINNIPEG -- The second line of the Winnipeg Jets deserved top billing Friday night as they spurred the team to a 5-3 win over the visiting Los Angeles Kings. Rishard Matthews Jersey . Devin Setoguchi had two and linemate Evander Kane another as the Jets found their legs in the second period, after being swarmed by the Kings in the first. The line clicked so smoothly it was fitting that even the officials couldnt tell who scored, giving Kane credit for a goal they switched to Setoguchi after the game ended. "That was a lucky one," said Setoguchi, describing the shot by Kane that glanced off his stick. He teamed with Kane for his second goal as well. "It was nice to get the other one on the wraparound but the main thing is we won the game." Kane even took a five-minute penalty for fighting in a very physical game and wasnt apologizing. "You need to let them know youre not going to be run out of your own building," he said. "I thought we did a pretty good job of sticking up for each other." Olli Jokinen and Bryan Little also scored for the Jets (2-0-0). Blake Wheeler had a goal called back in the second because the net was off its moorings. Matt Greene, Jeff Carter and Justin Williams scored for the Kings (1-1-0), who outshot the Jets 18-7 in the first, with goalie Ondrej Pavelec keeping Winnipeg alive. The Jets went into the game saying it would be a good test. The Kings are one of the strongest teams in the Western Conference, where the Jets are playing this season. Despite the slow start, the Jets were leading 4-1 in the third when the Kings got back some of the fire they had in the first period. They brought the game within one with two quick power-play goals, before Little scored into an empty net. "We have a way of making games exciting," said Jets coach Claude Noel. "Its not something we want to get in a habit of doing." But he saw things he liked, besides the two points. "We had some good games from a lot of people," he said. "We started off slow again and I thought the game changed a little bit in in the second period and the third period. I thought we were quite a bit better. I thought we did some simple things." One of those was getting shots off, which didnt happen in the first, and not turning over the puck in the neutral zone. Coach Darryl Sutter wasnt in a mood to provide much analysis but denied they were tired after two games in two nights. They beat the Minnesota Wild in a shootout Thursday. "It was a pretty close game wasnt it?" he said. Added Kings left-winger Dwight King: "We wanted to have a good start, I think we got out to a good start, obviously we got a lot of pucks on the net. It kind of fell off a bit and they took advantage . . . We tried to fight back at the end but it wasnt enough." Failing to control the puck in their own zone cost both the Jets and Kings in the first period, although the Kings put on most of the pressure. Greene was first to score, glancing one off Dustin Byfuglien after intercepting Byfugliens failed attempt to clear the puck from in front of the net. But then Kane tied it up by dumping it in from the other side of the blue-line, catching it on the rebound off Greene and sending it high past Jonathan Quicks glove. Setoguchis linemate Mark Scheifele picked up an assist, while Setoguchi also set up a goal. The line accounted for most of the pressure and scoring chances the Jets created in the first period. It was the Jets who came on strong in the second. Wheeler scored what could have been the go-ahead goal on a power play, except that the L.A. net was off its moorings. It took a call to Toronto by the officials but the goal was disallowed. Instead, it was Jokinen who put the Jets ahead at 12:54 of the second when he lifted Michael Froliks rebound high to the right side of the net as Quick went low to the left. Noel juggled his third line Friday night, putting Jokinen between Eric Tangradi and Frolik, who scored a pair in the Jets opener in Edmonton. He liked what he saw but said he doesnt know yet how long they will stay together. Setoguchi scored his first on a power play at 2:21 of the third period on a shot from Kane. He attacked again at 5:19 to make it 4-1 when Quick managed to stop Kanes rush and Setoguchi swept behind the net and stuffed it in the other side. Sutter put Ben Scrivens in net. Carter scored the Kings second goal of the night at 11:01 of the third, a few seconds into a power play from a tripping penalty called against Jets defenceman Jacob Trouba. The Jets were ahead on shots until the last seven minutes of the third when the Kings found new life after Carters goal. Williams brought the Kings within one on the power play at 15:44 when he caught the left corner of the Jets net from the faceoff circle but Little sealed the win with a breakaway into an empty net with 47 seconds left. Notes: This was only the second time the Jets have played the Kings. Their first, in 2011 and also at MTS Centre, was settled in overtime when Evander Kane made it 1-0. Now that the Jets are in the Western Conference, they will meet L.A. three times, the next Mar. 6. Kevin Byard Jersey . ger. The German led the overall World C

Canadian medal hopeful Alex Gough is in fifth place after the first run of the womens luge event at the Sanki Sliding Center in Sochi on Monday. Christian Vazquez Jersey . The 26-year-old slider from Calgary posted a time of 50.464 seconds, 0.573 seconds back of leader Natalie Geisenberger. The German led the overall World Cup womens standings this season and continued her dominance by putting down a track record time of 49.891, ahead of second-place Erin Hamlin of the United States (50.356) and teammate Tajana Huefner (50.393). Gough finished second overall in the World Cup this season and is aiming to win Canadas first-ever Olympic medal in womens luge. Calgarys Kimberly McRae was impressive in her first Olympic appearance, finishing her first trip down the track in sixth spot, trailing Gough by only 0.001 seconds. Arianne Jones, also of Calgary, sits 13th with a time of 50.993. The second of four runs is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. ET. Andrew Benintendi Jersey . In question is whether 26-year-old Matt Frattin will be on it. A a€?mediocrea€? training camp, as Carlyle put it earlier this week, has Frattin lingering nervously on the bubble at the end of the exhibition season, pushed out of a likely job by Brandon Kozun, the small, but feisty winger determined to make the NHL for the first time. Shane Victorino Jersey . Sources tell TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger that the team is quietly gauging interest on the Senators captain, though Spezza has a limited no-trade clause and carries a large contract.DUNEDIN, Florida – The Blue Jays kick off their 31-game exhibition schedule on Wednesday and there are decisions to be made at key positions. Heres a breakdown of where the battles will be, the players involved and how one decision may have an effect on another. This goes without saying: Were working within the confines of the current Jays roster. STARTING ROTATION: Guaranteed: R.A. Dickey, Brandon Morrow, Mark BuehrleAlmost Certain: J.A. Happ As many as nine guys, some with almost no chance of landing the job, but are included here, anyway, are vying for the final available spot. They are Esmil Rogers, Todd Redmond, Drew Hutchison, Kyle Drabek, Marcus Stroman, Sean Nolin, Ricky Romero, Chad Jenkins, Aaron Sanchez and Dustin McGowan. This will be intriguing because there is a business case to be made and, depending on how spring training plays out, potential performance cases to be made. On the business end, Rogers and Redmond are out of options, meaning both must break camp with the club or risk being lost on waivers. The bullpen is an option if neither gets a starting spot – more on that later when we look at the possibility of a seven-man or eight-man bullpen. Hutchison and Drabek each have big league experience. Drabek dating back to 2010 and when he cracked the opening day roster a year later and Hutchison when he was a mid-April call up two seasons ago. Both are back to full health following Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgeries in the summer of 2012. Drabek needs to drastically improve on 1.683 career WHIP over 169 1/3 innings, particularly in the walks department – hes averaged 5.8 bases on balls per nine innings over his brief career. Hutchison is a control pitcher, not overpowering, and appears to be the most polished of the non-established big leaguers in the group. Nolin, a big lefthander, and top prospects Stroman and Sanchez would have to mesmerize Torontos brass to break camp with the club, which itself will be a tall task. There are voices amongst the decision-makers who caution against putting too much value on Grapefruit League numbers because there are occasions when pitchers are facing what amount to minor league-calibre line-ups. Jenkins, like Nolin, has options remaining and can be sent to the minor leagues without waivers. Stroman and Sanchez arent on the 40-man roster at the moment and can be sent to the minors without burning one of their three option years, at least not right away. Romero appears to have been relegated to afterthought status, a deep valley for the one-time ace, just three years removed from a 15-win season and All-Star appearance. McGowan has interest in starting, but after multiple shoulder surgeries and not having consistently started in six years, its an unlikely scenario. Hell be stretched out this spring, but McGowan is likely destined for the bullpen. Barring an incredible spring performance, it seems one of Rogers, Redmond, Hutchison or Drabek will come away with the final starting spot. Stroman has an outside shot. If the decision is strictly business, itll be Rogers or Redmond starting the season in the rotation. Regardless, most of the kids on the list are bumping their heads on the minor league ceiling and are expected to be contributing to the Blue Jays sooner rather than later. BULLPEN (SEVEN-MAN or EIGHT-MAN?): Guaranteed: Casey Janssen, Steve Delabar, Brett Cecil, Sergio Santos, Aaron Loup and Dustin McGowan. General manager Alex Anthopoulos has to decide on whether to go with a seven-man or eight-man bullpen. Choose the latter and youll have one fewer bench player (three instead of four) at manager John Gibbonss disposal. The eight-man bullpen scenario occurs if neither Rogerrs nor Redmond secures the final rotation job. Chris Sale Jersey. The Blue Jays were reminded last year that a club cant have too much pitching and theres a strong probability either would be lost if exposed to waivers. Jeremy Jeffress, a flame-throwing right-hander, who briefly impressed with a 0.87 ERA over 10 1/3 big league innings last season, also has a shot at making the team. He adjusted his arm slot downward late last season and is in the process of successfully treating a juvenile epilepsy diagnosis. Jeffress is out of options and clubs love hard-throwing pitchers. The Jays got Jeffress through waivers at one point last season. There is no guarantee they could do it again. Left-hander Juan Perez, 35, has returned to health after straining his elbow last summer. Hes caught in a numbers game. Meantime, Neil Wagner appears destined for Triple-A Buffalo regardless of performance. He has an option and he, too, is caught in a numbers game. SECOND BASE: Competing: Ryan Goins, Maicer Izturis, Chris Getz (non-roster invitee,) Jonathan Diaz (non-roster invitee,) Munenori Kawasaki (non-roster invitee) and Steve Tolleson (non-roster invitee.) Goins is the incumbent, having concluded last season as the Jays second baseman. Anthopoulos loves Goinss defense, saying last week he believes Goins is the best in Toronto since the days of Orlando Hudson. Goinss biggest challenger is Getz, a former Royal, who has familiarity with both Gibbons (Royals bench coach, 2008-2011) and hitting coach Kevin Seitzer from his days in Kansas City. Getz is a left-handed bat. BENCH: Here is where the Blue Jays thin out considerably, especially if they begin the season with an eight-man bullpen. Backup catcher: Erik Kratz or Josh Thole. Kratz, who strikes an imposing figure at 64", 255 lbs, is a right-handed bat whos hit 18 home runs in 378 at-bats over the last two seasons with the Phillies. Considering the likelihood the second catcher will play more this season (Dioner Navarro hasnt played more than 89 games in a season since 2009,) the Jays could value Kratzs offense over Tholes long history with knuckleballer R.A. Dickey. Navarro wont catch Dickey. Kratz spent a week with Dickey in Nashville in the offseason and has caught all of his bullpen and live batting practice sessions so far this spring. Right-handed Bat to Platoon with Adam Lind: Moises Sierra is out of options and Toronto needs to determine if he is the viable option. Backup Infielder: Manager John Gibbons has said on more than one occasion that he prefers to use Izturis off the bench because he can play around the infield. Its a role Izturis became accustomed to in Anaheim. So, if the Jays go with an eight-man bullpen, thats it. Anthony Gose, under the scenario presented above, would begin the season in Buffalo. Should the Jays go with a seven-man bullpen, the roving outfielder spot opens up and is likely Goses to take with the likes of Kevin Pillar and Kenny Wilson getting more seasoning in the minor leagues. REPLAY Each club will play five games this spring under the new instant replay rules. Managers will be encouraged to throw the challenge flag at some point each game during the exhibition contests. "We had that meeting last week and they said the umpires will notify us before the game and say, hey if you get a chance, try it," said manager John Gibbons. INTRA-SQUAD GAME The Blue Jays played a four-and-a-half inning intra-squad game on Tuesday at the Bobby Mattick Complex. Drew Hutchison, Marcus Stroman and Sean Nolin each pitched a scoreless inning. Aaron Sanchez gave up the games only run, a Maicer Izturis single. It was the fourth and final hit he allowed in his inning of work. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

n a trade with the Los Angeles Kin

BUFFALO, N. Jeremy Kerley Jersey .Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres signed forward Nicolas Deslauriers to a two-year contract on Monday. Deslauriers, a restricted free agent, was acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings on March 5. The 23-year-old played in 17 of the Sabres last 20 games and impressed with his physical presence on the ice. He scored one goal for Buffalo. "Nick was able to step in and compete in every situation we put him in," Sabres general manager Tim Murray said in a statement. "Were confident that he will be an important part of our organization going forward." A converted defenceman, Deslauriers led the AHLs Manchester Monarchs in goals with 18 before being acquired by the Sabres. He finished the AHL season with 42 points (19 goals, 23 assists) in 65 games. Josh McCown Jersey .ca. Hi Kerry, Thursday nights Bruins-Blackhawks game had a goal by Patrice Bergeron initially waved off by the referee, but video review clarified it was a good goal. Dennis Byrd Jersey .com) - Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau has been selected as the NHLs Rookie of the Month for December, the league announced Friday. The United States will play Ghana, Portugal and Germany in what appears to be the most difficult first-round group at next years World Cup, one that will take the Americans on a 9,000-mile trip around Brazil. Making its seventh straight appearance at soccers showcase, the U.S. was drawn Friday into Group G and opens on June 16 in Natal against Ghana, which eliminated the Americans at the 2006 and 2010 tournaments. The U.S. meets Portugal and 2008 FIFA Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo six days later in the Amazon rain forest city Manaus. The Americans have just three off days to recover before closing group play on June 26 in Recife against three-time champion Germany. "I think we have the quality, if we play our best ball, to get out of the group," U.S. captain Clint Dempsey said. "You cant think about, Am I the favourite? Am I the underdog? Whats it going to be like playing in the heat? Whats it going to be like with the travel? Those are factors that come into it, but at the end of the day both teams have to deal with it." Statistically, the U.S. group has the top average FIFA world ranking. "Its definitely one of the tougher groups, if not the toughest, but at the same time, this is what the World Cups all about. You go there to play against the best," American forward Jozy Altidore said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "I think the boys will be excited, will be up for it." U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann played for Germanys 1990 World Cup championship team and coached his native country to third place in the 2006 tournament, commuting to Europe from his California home in Orange County. "Obviously its one of the most difficult groups in the whole draw, having Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo and then Ghana, who has a history with the United States. It couldnt get any more difficult or any bigger," he said at the draw in Costa do Sauipe, Brazil. "Its a real challenge. And well take it. Well take it on, and hopefully were going to surprise some people there." As the draw pot the U.S. was in was emptied, the Americans and South Korea were the last remaining teams. While the Americans were drawn into the group with an average FIFA ranking of 11.25, South Korea wound up in Group H, creating a group with the poorest average at 28.25. "I think the teams mentality is that we can go and play with anybody," American defender Matt Besler said. "Now were going to have to prove it." "I kind of had in my stomach that we were going to get Germany," Klinsmann said. Germany beat the U.S. 2-0 in in 1998 World Cup opener in Paris -- with Klinsmann setting up the first goal and scoring the second -- the edged the Americans 1-0 onn a controversial goal in the 2002 quarterfinal in South Korea. Matt Forte Jersey. . Die Mannschaft is coached by Klinsmanns former assistant, Joachim Loew. The Americans beat a second-tier German team 4-3 in a June exhibition at Washington. "With Jurgen Klinsmann, they have another mentality," Loew said. "I learned a lot from Jurgen, so this is special." Ranked 14th in the world, the U.S. has alternated quick exits with advancement since returning to soccers showcase in 1990. After the draw four years ago, one British paper used a headline "EASY" for England, Algeria, Slovenia and the Yanks, and The Sun called it the "best English group since the Beatles." The Americans wound up atop a group for the first time, and England advanced as the second-place nation. This time, second-ranked Germany and fifth-ranked Portugal are the favourites to advance to the second round. If the U.S. reaches the round of 16, it would face Belgium, Russia, Algeria or South Korea from Group H. "I guarantee you Jurgen knows more about Germany than Jogi Loew knows about the U.S," U.S. Soccer Federation President Sunil Gulati said. The U.S. will feel pressure to open with a win against Ghana, ranked 24th. The Black Stars defeated the Americans 2-1 in the 2006 stage in Germany and by the same score in overtime in the round of 16 at the last World Cup in South Africa. "Theyre the team that beat us, kind of crushed our dreams of being in the World Cup, so I think were due a little bit of luck and were due a win against them," Dempsey said. At the 2002 tournament, the U.S. opened with a 3-2 upset of Portugal after taking a shocking three-goal lead in the first 36 minutes. The Americans will train in the U.S. from mid-May on and plan a series of exhibition games, which likely will include England as an opponent, before heading to Brazil. After having the shortest group-play travel in South Africa, the U.S. will have the longest in Brazil. The Americans will be based in Sao Paulo and face trips of 1,436 miles to Natal, 1,832 miles to Manaus and 1,321 miles to Recife. They also will play all three matches in the tropics, with the second and third matches in the afternoon. "Everybody is saying that this is the Group of Death and its such a hard challenge," former American captain John Harkes said. "I still think that the U.S. can rise to the occasion." In other groups, it is: Group A--Brazil, Cameroon, Croatia, Mexico; Group B--Australia, Chile, Netherlands, Spain; Group C--Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast, Japan; Group D--Costa Rica, England, Italy, Uruguay; Group E--Ecuador, France, Honduras, Switzerland; Group F--Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

The 43-year old Dane fought back

VIRGINIA WATER, England -- Thomas Bjorn birdied seven of his last eight holes Saturday to grab a five-shot lead after the third round of the BMW PGA Championship. Diego Godin Jersey . The 43-year old Dane fought back from a double bogey on the first hole by making six straight birdies from the 11th and then adding another one at the last for a 5-under 67. His 15-under total of 201 put him five shots clear of Luke Donald at the European Tours flagship event at Wentworth. Donald, a two-time former BMW PGA winner, birdied his closing two holes for a 68. Irelands Shane Lowry shared the overnight lead with Bjorn but shot a 73 to sit another shot back in third. Rory McIlroy was in a tie for fourth after a 69, seven shots behind Bjorn. Bjorn is competing in the event for the 17th time, but publicly disagreed with changes to the famed Surrey course in 2010 and skipped the event the following year. He returned in in 2012 to finish 37th and then further down the board in 40th place last year. "Im starting to warm to this place," Bjorn said. "But after the double at the first it was just a question of trying to hang in and trying to get the best out of it and just see if you can roll in a few putts here and there. That happened, and probably a bit in excess on the back nine." A win would earn Bjorn one of the biggest prize cheques of his career US$1.059 million, and would also cement his place in Septembers European Ryder Cup team and a first appearance in 12 years since being a member of the victorious 2002 team. The start of play was delayed by three hours because of a rain-soaked course that saw a lot of players struggle early. McIlroy also had a double bogey on the first hole, before recovering with five birdies the rest of the way. And the double major winner hasnt given up hope of catching Bjorn. "Ive had big leads and let them slip, and come from behind and won, so theres a lot of ways to win," McIlroy said. "There is still 18 holes of golf to go, but Im going to need something very special." Fernando Torres Jersey . But when it was all over they had wasted another lead, seen another pitcher flame out on the mound and lost their fourth straight at home. Custom Atletico Madrid Jerseys . The last team in the NBA that will have any sympathy for the Thunder is the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are showing signs of putting everything together after two years of devastating injuries.HOUSTON -- After hitting just .136 last April, the Washington Nationals are certainly enjoying the way Adam LaRoche has started this season. LaRoche continued his hot start Tuesday night, hitting a tying double in the eighth inning and a go-ahead single in the ninth to lift the Nationals over the Houston Astros 4-3. "Its good for him because hes not traditionally a fast starter," manager Matt Williams said. "He really focused on it in spring training and really focused on driving one in. Hes going to hit homers with guys on base but that ones big for us as evidenced tonight. If he can do that the homers will come ... but when he can consistently drive runs in like that were a better team." Jayson Werth homered as the Nationals won the opener of the interleague series. Denard Span drew a leadoff walk in the ninth, stole second and advanced to third on a groundout. He scored on LaRoches hit to right field off Josh Fields (0-3). "When Im feeling pretty good, one, Im taking some walks and two, Im using the whole field," LaRoche said. LaRoche is hitting .312 with four home runs, 17 RBIs and 16 walks in 2014. Tyler Clippard (2-2) pitched a scoreless eighth for the win. Rafael Soriano walked two in a scoreless ninth for his fifth save. Werth hit fourth home run in the first inning. Houston scored three times in the third for a 3-2 lead, helped by rookie George Springers two-run single. Houston manager Bo Porter was troubled that his team let another one get away late. "Its very concerning, because our starting pitcher did a very good job," he said. "You feel like you are in position to win the game, you have the right guys matched up, and you just dont get it done." Werth singled to start the eighth and scored on LaRoches double to left-centre field. Center fielder Dexter Fowler tracked the ball to the wall, but it glanced off his glove as he crashed to the ground. The Nationals went on to load the bases before Chad Qualls struck out Jose Lobaton. Antoine Griezmann Jersey. Washington starter Gio Gonzalez allowed five hits and three runs, striking out a season-high nine in six innings. Houstons Jarred Cosart gave up five hits, two runs and struck out six in six innings in his first career start against an NL team. Cosart hit Kevin Frandsen with a pitch to start the third inning and he scored on a double by Lobaton to make it 2-0. Houstons first hit was a double by Matt Dominguez to open the third and he moved up on a sacrifice bunt by Jonathan Villar. Fowlers two-out single cut Washingtons lead to 2-1 and extended his hitting streak to nine games. Jason Castro reached on a double when the ball bounced off the padding on the wall in left field -- Frandsen saved a run when he made a nifty no-look, backhanded stop on the carom. He said he simply got lucky on the play and shared what he told his teammates when they asked how he did it. "You stick your glove out and maybe some things go in there," he said with a laugh. Springers single on a line drive to left field put Houston ahead. The Nationals had another good defensive play when Span ran up Tals Hill in centre field and landed on his backside as he caught a fly ball hit by Dominguez for the second out of the fourth inning. NOTES: These teams wrap up the two-game series on Wednesday when Houston LHP Brett Oberholtzer opposes RHP Jordan Zimmermann. ... Washington OF Bryce Harper had surgery on his injured left thumb on Tuesday and will be out for an extended period of time. rekindle some chemistry as it

EDMONTON -- The core of Canadas national womens soccer team is back where it all began, hoping to rekindle some chemistry as it begin its campaign for the 2015 World Cup. Gio Gonzalez Jersey . Seven of the Canadian players for Wednesdays match against South Korea in Edmonton were on the Canadian team that ignited the womens soccer program in 2002 when it finished second to the U.S. in the U19 world championship at Commonwealth Stadium. Those seven -- captain Christine Sinclair, keeper Erin McLeod, centrebacks Carmelina Moscato and Rhian Wilkinson, midfielders Diana Matheson and Brittany Timko and forward Kara Lang -- are reconnecting after spending the season playing for various teams around North America. "This game is really kick-starting our campaign to 2015," Moscato said Monday at a news conference to promote the ticket sales for the 2014 FIFA U20 womens world cup that will be played in four Canadian cities. "Although were not looking necessarily two years in advance, right now we do have specific goals. Its centred around connection again. Weve been off for about a month after the NSSL season and we have all worked hard to be back in shape and fit for this game. But it really is about playing soccer together again and reconnecting with our national team goals and identity and wheres were going." The team, while won the bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics, has been in Edmonton for five days preparing for South Korea. While thats not a long time, both Moscato and McLeod said its been a great team-building experience. "Theres elements that are easy because were like a family now," said Moscato, who was off the national team for a few years before rejoining it in 2009. "Meals are always enjoyable, having chatsabut on the field, that winning behaviour, that gold-medal standard behaviour, it takes time to reconnect again." McLeod, a native of St. Albert, a bedroom community of Edmonton, said the team is fortunate in that the players have managed to stay connected over the years and the excitement of being together this week is "really bringing us together." Both agree the match with South Korea will be a test of just how together the team is and where it has to go from here to get ready for 2015. "Its going to be challenging," said the 30-year-old McLeod. "In the game there are going to be moments we might be disconnected, but I think thats good to have the test early on to see how much we can fight now, having been apart. And we will only grow from that." The teams are 1-1 in recent matches and McLeod said one of the keys for Canada is to get off to a good start. "We have to come out fighting and bringing the game to them," she said. "A lot of times we start games on our heels and we dont want to be like that this time, or anymore." South Korea is a technically disciplined team that Moscato says is very strong on the counter-attack and dangerous in its ability to regain the ball and sneak behind defences. "So its going to take a lot of defensive discipline for us to regain the ball immediately when we lose it," she said. "So thats a big focus for us because they are quite technically savvy and quite intelligent on the ball." Note: Lang will be with the team as she continues her comeback from two torn knee ligaments, but wont play Wednesday. Custom Washington Nationals Jerseys . Melo Trimble contributed 16 points with seven assists and five rebounds for the Terrapins (8-1), who trailed early Saturday and pulled away in the second half to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season on Wednesday at former conference rival Virginia. We got a lot better today and thats good to see, Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon said. Jared Nickens chipped in 12 points, while Damonte Dodd finished with nine and 10 rebounds in the victory. Maryland shot 47.8 percent and made an efficient 29-of-35 free throws, outscoring Winthrop by 18 at the stripe. Credit to (Maryland) for stepping up and knocking (free throws) down, Winthrop head coach Pat Kelsey said. Thats on us, we have to be more disciplined in the defensive end and defend without fouling. Keon Moore scored 20 points and Keon Johnson added 18 for Winthrop (3-4), which has lost two straight and four of its last five. Moore drilled a three early in the second half to pull Winthrop even at 35-35, but Layman and Pack combined for the next seven points and Maryland remained in front for goood. Matt Wieters Jersey. Layman finished with 18 in the second half. The Eagles got only as close as five, the last time at 49-44 on a trey by Moore with 12 1/2 minutes remaining. Dion Wiley followed with a shot from beyond the arc for Maryland and the Terrapins took a double-digit lead a few moments later on a layup by Pack. Nickens followed with a three on the next Maryland possession to extend the cushion to 59-46 with 8:50 to play. Winthrop never got within single digits again. Moores layup and a 3-pointer by Johnson gave the Eagles a 5-0 lead before Nickens finally got Maryland on the board 4 1/2 minutes into the contest with a triple. Another Moore three pushed the Winthrop margin to 13-4 before the Terps finally started finding the range. A Dodd dunk and threes by Nickens and Pack fueled a 12-2 run that gave Maryland a 16-15 lead with just over nine minutes left in the half. It remained tight for the remainder of the half and the Terps went to the break with a 34-29 advantage. Game Notes Virginia held a 37-26 rebounding advantage ... Both teams made nine shots from 3-point range ... Winthrop shot just 36.2 percent overall ... Maryland improved to 5-0 all-time against Winthrop. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Jose Bautista with injuries and fell to t

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Toronto Blue Jays went limping home from their long, losing road trip. Jon Merrill Jersey . The struggling AL East leaders lost infielder Brett Lawrie and right fielder Jose Bautista with injuries and fell to the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 Sunday. Toronto was 3-7 on its visit to Baltimore, Yankee Stadium and Cincinnati. Lawrie, twice hit in the left hand by pitches earlier in the week, sustained a broken right index finger when he was hit by a pitch from Johnny Cueto in the second inning. The team didnt immediately announce how long he would be out. "Its definitely tough," said Lawrie, who said he expects to be placed on the disabled list. "Were big pieces of the puzzle, especially (Bautista). Its tough on the team to not have all its bullets. We just have to keep on grinding." Bautista left because of tightness in his left hamstring, manager John Gibbon said. The All-Star outfielder had a single and a sacrifice bunt before leaving. Cueto pitched eight effective innings and Todd Frazier broke a 2-all tie in the fifth with a two-run homer off R.A. Dickey (6-6). Toronto has lost five of six, and has dropped five straight series. Cueto (7-5) gave up three runs -- one earned -- and leads the NL with a 1.86 ERA. He gave up seven hits and struck out eight while winning his third straight start. Gibbon became just the latest opposing manager to be dazzled by Cueto, though he also was impressed by his own starter, who got two extra days of rest after his last start because of a sore groin. ""I thought (Dickey) was pretty good, except for the home-run ball," Gibbon said. "Thats been his nemesis. It was a hot day, but he stayed out there. Cueto was just a little bit better. Hes good. Hes in a different class." Aroldis Chapman struck out the side in the ninth for his 13th save. Cueto led off the fifth with a bunt single. One out later, Frazier lined his team-leading 17th homer of the season, and the sixth allowed by Dickey in his last four starts. "I felt good," Dickey said. "I gave up nine hits, but I think only two or three of them could be described as hard-hit. I think all but one of my earned runs over my last four or five starts have come on home runs. Thats tough to overcome, especially against a guy like Cueto. I knew it was going to be a scrappy game from the beginning." The Reds had their own injury concerns. Second baseman Brandon Phillips left the game in the middle of the fifth with a bruised right heel, and Cueto had to shake off a hamstring cramp to stay in the game. "When Frazier hit that ball, I went back to tag and I felt it," Cueto said through a translator. "It was just a cramp." Frazier is tied with Pittsburghs Andrew McCutchen and Baltimores Adam Jones for the most home runs in the month of June, each with seven. Edwin Encarnacion led off the Toronto eighth with his 24th home run, connecting against his former team. He hit a pair of three-run shots Friday night while Toronto was coming back from an 8-0 deficit to grab a 14-9 win. The Reds used Encarnacions error at first to take a 1-0 lead in the first. With Frazier on first and two outs, Phillips was safe when Encarnacion couldnt handle third baseman Juan Franciscos throw on a chopper. Jay Bruce converted the error with an RBI single. The Blue Jays got help from two errors to take a 2-1 lead in the third. Munenori Kawasaki reached on first baseman Joey Vottos throwing error, Melky Cabrera singled and Toronto loaded the bases on Cuetos misplay of Jose Bautistas bunt. One out later, Colby Rasmus lined a two-run single. The Reds tied the game in the fourth on Bruces leadoff double, Ryan Ludwicks single and Brayan Penas run-scoring double-play grounder. Encarnacion homered off Cueto into the left-field seats. NOTES: Bautista was scheduled for an MRI on Monday. He left for pinch-runner Jose Reyes, who didnt start after fouling a ball off the side of his left knee on Saturday. ... Toronto is scheduled to open a seven-game homestand with the first of three against the Yankees on Monday. ... n Saturday when they visit SAP Cent

(SportsNetwork. Chris Scott Jersey .com) - The New York Islanders have slowed down considerably since the last time they faced the San Jose Sharks and the Isles hope to halt a two-game slide on Saturday when they visit SAP Center. Tonights test will complete the season series between the Islanders and Sharks. New York recorded a 4-3 shootout victory over a visiting San Jose team on Oct. 16 with John Tavares providing the winning score in the fifth round of the decisive phase. However, things have not gone well for the Isles since that victory, which was New Yorks fourth straight to begin the season. Jack Capuanos club has gone 2-4-0 since beating the Sharks and enters Saturdays rematch on a two-game slide. New Yorks most recent setback was Thursdays 5-0 loss at Colorado. Despite getting blown out on the scoreboard, the Islanders were active offensively and outshot the Avalanche by a 40-23 margin. Semyon Varlamov was up to the challenge, however, turning aside all 40 shots sent his way. Chad Johnson was on the hook for all five goals on 23 shots for the Islanders, who failed to score on six power-play chances in the loss. We started really well tonight, we dominated play early, Capuano said. We have to start scoring three or four goals to win in this league. New York has played the last four games without Travis Hamonic, but the defenseman is expected to return from an upper-body injury tonight. Hamonic has one goal in six tests this season and is averaging 20 minutes, 33 seconds of ice time per game. The Isles are playing the second part of a three-game road trip tonight and are scheduled to close the set Wednesday at Anaheim. New York owns identical 3-2-0 records at home and on the road this season. Although the clubs earlier loss versus the Isles began a stretch of five losses in six games, the Sharks enter Saturday riding a three-game point streak. San Jose went 2-0-1 on a three-game road trip, beating Anaheim and Colorado before dropping Thursdays 4-3 shootout decision in Minnesota. The Sharks went ahead 2-0 against the Wild in the first period and held a 3-1 lead when Joe Thornton scored just 1:37 into the third stanza. However, Kyle Brodziak tallied twice later in the third to even the score for Minnesota and Jason Pominville provided the game-winner in the shootout. Even at one goal apiece after two shootout rounds, Pominville went in slow and wristed a shot past Antti Niemis glove. Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper then stoned Patrick Marleau for the win. Mirco Mueller and Tommy Wingels joined Thornton as the goal-scorers for San Jose, while Niemi turned aside 43 shots in a losing effort. We wanted the extra point and its disappointing when you give that up, said Thornton. I thought that we played a pretty good game tonight, though. Sharks enforcer John Scott is eligible to return tonight after sitting out the last two games while serving a suspension. Scott received the ban for coming onto the ice and immediately starting a fight with Anaheims Tim Jackman. Although Scott entered the ice during a legal change it was deemed he made no effort to play the puck before challenging Jackman. The Isles have won two of the last three meetings with San Jose, but the Sharks still own seven victories over the past 10 encounters. New York had lost four straight at the Shark Tank before earning a shootout win over the Sharks on Dec. 10 of last season. San Jose will try for just its second home win of the season tonight. The Sharks are 1-2-0 as the host and 5-2-2 on the road. Graham Gano Jersey .ca. Hi Kerry, Love reading your column and loved watching your analysis on the TSN broadcasts! And were now in Round 2! Team Canadas Ryan Fry was drafted first overall by Kevin Martin – the only skip in the All-Star field that Fry has never competed with at a Brier – as revealed Friday during the Travelers All-Star Curling Skins Draft Show Presented by Pintys. Loris Karius Jersey . Set against the backdrop of Mount Norquay in Banff, Alberta, the 30-minute outdoor broadcast featured Martin, Jeff Stoughton (second pick), Brad Jacobs (third pick), and Brad Gushue (fourth pick) drafting new teammates for this weekends Travelers All-Star Curling Skins Game Presented by Pintys from The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre.  As a prize for being the last man standing – and a good sport – a $1,000 donation was made to the Banff Community Foundation on behalf of E.J. Harnden. After having last pick in the draft, Turin 2006 Olympic gold medallist Brad Gushue was given the choice of picking his opponent and selected three-time Brier champion and two-time World champion Jeff Stoughton for Saturdays first semifinal at 1pm et/10am pt live on TSN. Saturdays primetime draw features Vancouver 2010 gold medallist Kevin Martin going head-to-head against Team Canadas Sochi 2014 skip Brad Jacobs at 9:30pm et/6:30pm pt live on TSN. The semifinal winners will face off in the final, airing Sunday at 1pm et/10am pt on TSN. TSNs esteemed curling broadcast team will call all the action from Banff, with Vic Rauter handling play-by-play duties alongside analysts Russ Howard and Linda Moore. The Travelers All-Star Curling Skins Game uses a single-elimination format whereby anything can happen, as the winner is decided by total prize money and not total points.  A total cash purse of $100,000 is available to be won over the two-day event. Martin is the leading money earner in TSN skins game history with $425,350 in winnings. Adam Bogdan Jersey . At least 90 players who had college eligibility remaining are expected to enter the draft, shattering last years record number of 73. "Its a humongous number, so the first reaction is it makes you step back a little bit," said NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, a former scout with the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles. Nathaniel Clyne Jersey . DeGrom outpitched Jake Peavy in a tantalizing hitless duel that carried into the seventh inning Saturday night before the New York Mets broke loose and beat the San Francisco Giants 4-2.This Fourth of July for the Minnesota Wild was a little less eventful than the last. Still, the Wild made another holiday splash by bringing in more help for their blue line. The Wild announced Thursday they agreed to terms on a two-year contract with defenceman Keith Ballard, who was available after being let go by Vancouver earlier this week with a compliance buyout to clear space under the salary cap. The Wild said paperwork for Ballards deal would be filed Friday, when the free agent market opens. The Star Tribune of Minneapolis reported Ballards contract is worth $3 million. He was scheduled to make $4.2 million in each of the final two seasons of his previous deal with the Canucks. The 30-year-old Ballard managed just two assists in 36 games for Vancouver in 2013. Over three seasons there since being acquired in a draft-day trade in 2010 with Florida, Ballard had only 16 points in 148 games. He was hindered by several injuries. Before that, though, the former Univeersity of Minnesota star was far more productive. Danny Ward Jersey. Over five seasons with Phoenix and Florida, he averaged nearly 30 points while playing in 97 per cent of the games. As a rookie with the Coyotes in 2005-06, Ballard had eight goals and 31 assists and played in all 82 games. In his first year with the Panthers in 2008-09, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Ballard had six goals and 28 goals with a plus-14 rating while again playing all 82 games. Ballard will essentially replace defenceman Tom Gilbert, another local guy, who was dumped by the Wild with a compliance buyout this week. Ballard is from Baudette, Minn., on the Canadian border. He won two NCAA championships in his career with the Gophers. Another Minnesotan, centre Matt Cullen, will be moving on as the Wilds most prominent unrestricted free agent. Cullen told the Star Tribune that Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher informed him he couldnt offer him a fair contract given the teams cap constraints. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
